A Cut Above

I was in desperate need of a haircut… was fortunate to have an opening and even more fortunate that my stylist Bonnie, who is only there on Wednesdays was there! She took the time to explain what was wrong with my original cut that I was growing out and actually gave me a style! Not only is it my favorite haircut, but she was so fun to talk to that I felt like we were long time friends! Wish I lived closer to keep going back, but will have to take my chances Bonnie is there when we come back to town… or I might just have to take the two hour ride on a Wednesday!

Best Salon in Indiana and Michigan!!! I go to Toni and Olivia pretty much consistently but I have been to several others as well and I can attest that each and every one of them are super!!! Coloring and cutting can get no better than here!!! Love them!

Love Samantha and A Cut Above. Samantha has been doing my hair for years now and is the only person I let color my hair. She is an artist when it comes to color. I can’t tell you how many times I have left the salon just in LOVE with my hair! Best part is she is at the salon in the evenings when most stylists are already done working for the day. I highly recommend making an appointment with Samantha and let her work her magic on your hair!

I have gone here multiple times but only for Samantha. She is amazing. Samantha is a great stylist and pretty funny. Im always entertained in her chair.
Having long fine hair, down to my lower back, I’m very hesitant in choosing a stylist for getting a cut, and even more with getting color. She always knows how to interpret what I want and her recommendations are exactly what I was looking for, even if I didn’t know it myself. I always leave there happy, and although I’m sure the other staff are quite great, I know that when I see her, I won’t be disappointed.

The worst beauty salon all over the world by the worst moral and rudness and bad maners.
I can’t believe «Why this beauty salon is still exist this planet? «
A few years ago when I went this beauty salon for hair dye,
the staff dropped off hair dye products on my face. It’s between right eye to nose.
The staff was wipe by dried papaer.
After afew hours came back from this beauty salon. the skin got to be red coler.
And I could know I got the skin barned by this dropping.
I called this salon immediatlly, but the owner was not there.
Even I left a message, I couldn’t get the contact a few days.
Finally I could get the call from this ower lady, she didn’t believed me her staff droped off the hair dye products. Also she didn’t believed I got the skin barned.
And she required to me I go to her beuarty salaon for to show my skin barened for to proof my explain is correct.
When I went there, this owner and her staff were waaiting for me at the counter and they didn’t believed to me by my explain about her staff dropped off the hair coler products on my face. And her staff said to me «I don’t belive she dropped off the hair coler product on your face. I think this red coler is it’s just pimple.»
The owner said «You are the first person started make a problem with us ! «
» Never come back here ! «
I had never ever got like this very rudenes words from any owner of any bussines all over the world.
I can’t recommende to anybody this low moral, low maner, low qulity’s owner’s b beauty salon.

Snobby, snobby snobby. My mother-​in-​law was treated horribly when she came in to make a manicure appointment. She had fake nails and wanted them taken off and to have a manicure. No matter what this salon thinks of fake nails they don’t have to sneer at people who get them. I will steer all of my guests clear of this salon going forward.

Great salon. The stylists are so nice and I love my haircut — it’s exactly what I wanted/​described. And it’s inexpensive. I will definitely come again.

Years later and a move from NW Indiana to Chicago… still cannot get my hair taken care of as it always Should be unless I head over to New Buffalo and see the lovely ladies at A Cut Above.
