Kim’s Bike Shop

I ordered a jacket through Amazon. It never arrived. Amazon contacted Kim’s Bike Shop to track the order, but they have never replied to Amazon. It’s been three weeks. No communication from Kim’s Bike Shop to respond concerning non-​receipt of merchandise although they have already received payment.

Very friendly, very knowledgeable, give good, sound advice. Not pretentious, down to earth, and are ready to help. Each visit to get my own bike repair tools and materials, they are fast and efficient.

Great bike shop! Very generous labor costs – both times I’ve gone in to get things fixed on my bike, I’ve paid considerably less than what I expected. The guys who work there are also very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Helpful and surprisingly unpretentious bike shop in the middle of town. On my first visit, they adjusted my handlebars for free with a quick turn of a wrench after a crash knocked them out of line. On my second visit, they replaced my brake cable in a snap for only $ 12. They also have an affordable selection of energy bars and are knowledgeable about bikes without being snobby or making you feel bad for not being a pro.

Amazing bike shop. Family owned, friendly and knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices, clean facilities. My husband and I went here to pick up new bikes for ourselves. Their selection is huge but we didn’t feel overwhelmed because Dave made great recommendations based on our specific needs. We tried a few bikes each to make sure the size/​adjustments were perfect. Also, their prices seems very reasonable and lower than most other shops for the same specs. We’re so excited for our new bikes and will be back this week for a rack and other essential accessories!

The best bike shop in Middlesex County, if not all of New Jersey. Unbeatable prices, friendly staff, and timely service. Would not go anywhere else for anything bike related.

Very good prices on some of Cannondale and Specialized road bicycles. Recently purchased Synapse, Cannondale helmet and pump at Kim’s Bike Shop, and cannot match the prices anywhere else.

Kim’s is great! They were able to adjust my child’s bike in less than a half hour and didn’t charge an arm and a leg. No attitudes and very helpful. Highly recommend.

I have been to the bike shop 3 times. The first time the repairman said that my bike was a peice of shit. They said any bike worth less than a grand is a peice of crap. They installed tires on my bike for over 100 dollars and the tire exploded on my way home doue to poor instilation. I returned and my inner tube was replaced. Second I go there with a flat on my new bike and they gave me the innertube and told me that I should install it myself it is a simple fix. Mind you this is an elecrical bike with a motor. now I have a broken bike in my living room with a useless motor. I had the money to pay for thier service, I wanted to pay them to instal the tire because I never worked on an electric bike and I tod them this. Now what could have been a 40 dollar fix has turned into a multi hundred dollar expense. The way I have been treated, and the experiences I had at this place are too much. The hundred dollar job literally took 7 minutes and it wasnt even done right and I had to put up with having my bike insulted right in front of me. I have classes and work to deal with in my life and I wanted my problem solved and it wasn’t as a Journalist and a Rutgers University student I want all perspecve customers to know you will only get a good experience from this shop if you have a high quality bike that these guys are exited to work on. Your college bike will be thrown aside with a sticker on it and will not only get the lowest priority, it will recieve the lowest quality of work. Your 180 dollar fix will be priced from 10 minutes of quick fix labor and a slurry of insults if you decide to hang around and watch them fix it. After the 180 dollar job, Kim’s bike shop will shuff a 2000 dollar bike in your face and say «When you upgrade from that bike, this one will be perfect for you» Enjoy New Brunswick students and by the way your rear flat tire you can’t fix in your dorm will cost 50 bucks and it takes a proffesional 5 – 7 minutes to repair it

My family and I have been going to this bike shop for years. Love the family and all the people who work there. Always helpful and willing to help newbies into the biking world.

Went there to get my ball bearings replaced. They did a good job and exchanged the whole axle free of charge. Bike is runnig like a watch now. They also have a huge selection of bikes, parts and are more than happy to give U any advice needed.

Family owned. The shop stocks anything from low end commuter bikes to tour worthy road bikes. Their top end brands are Specialized and Scott.
Before you do the usual online search for the lowest price, give them a try; not only are the prices low, they will most likely instal most equipment for you. Only 3.5% sales tax!

I am an avid cyclist in New Brunswick. Racking close to 250 miles a week I had to constantly keep up with maintenance on my bike. No matter the issue or time frame, Dave and Rob were able to get my bike in great shape. This bike shop and staff are solid. They would never fail any cyclist. I would recommend them to anyone!

my husband and i stopped in here to find me a bike. our friends recommended the shop… we needed something that fit my small frame with decent specs. the shop had a wide selection of bikes… the owners were super nice… and david, their son helped us find something that fit our needs. he built the bike for us the next morning fresh out of the box and we picked it up an hour after opening. i took it on a ride and it felt great. we received friendly service, and we’ll definitely be back for our future biking needs. they even gave us a heads up about a coupon online from specialized. and we were able to pick up tires and a helmet with the discount! SCORE!

We have always been able to find the perfect bike at this shop. Easy to work with and they will negotiate on prices or find you a deal from last years model left overs. The only draw back is the location as the safe parking is limited on that side of New Brunswick.

Stopped by to replace my popped tire and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The service was great and super helpful. Price ($ 12 I think) was worth the ease and convenience. Will definitely be back!
They also have a ton of available bikes for purchase; I had fun browsing while I waited for my repair.

We came in dripping wet from the rain and the folks at Kim’s bike shop welcomed us and immediately took care of what we needed fixed. Overall attitude, customer service and prices were great. Thanks again Dave and the team at Kim’s for a job well done.

Pretty nice shop. Parking sucks, but I usually park on Prospect (even though it’s permit only) and I’ve never gotten a ticket. The Kims are real nice folks and while the store is very cluttered, they can find anything for you. Had a Lefty wheel trued there and the turn around was quick and price reasonable. Only complaint is that sometimes they don’t have particular brands I prefer in stock sometimes (SwissStop brake pads for both disc and road brakes come to mind), but whatever.

Love Kims Bike Shop. I would never take my bike or buy a bike anywhere else. I purchased 5 bikes from here over the years and Mrs. Kim has always hooked me up. Family owned business. Good prices and they know what they are doing all around.

They are super friendly and very reasonable prices. Took my 60’s vintage cruiser in for a tune up – they lowered the price because I have no gears. They noticed that my pedals were put on wrong – hilarious, I’ve been riding that bike forever. They even cleaned it. Now, it’s perfect. It used to have a cacophony of squeaks and now it’s silent.
They’re the best.
