THEBESTENGLISHMUFFIN I HAVEEVERHAD. …hands down… PERIOD. I don’t know if a store bought one will ever do again. I would suggest the place develop a signature jam or jelly to bring this to true food porn!

It was OK, but not great. Everything was bland for the most part. Nothing stood out as great. The waitress never refilled my tea or even offered to do so, but she was otherwise friendly. Breakfast came out in a timely matter. The breakfast specials are a decent value at $ 4.99, don’t bother with the Benedict plates as they are just not worth it.

Great place for breakfast. The French toast bacon and eggs were excellent. The biscuits and gravy were also good. For the first experience I have no complaints.

The food is marvellous. You’ll never want to settle for IHOP again. The Breakfast and Lunch menus are expansive and inexpensive; and they are both available 7a-7p. Children’s masks actually fill up an 11 year old boy. And they have a frequent rewards card that gets you a free meal. Add to that a specific dinner menu(haven’t tried… But I will), and the only improvement would be for them to remain open later. I’ll definitely be back…

I like this restaurant. Its diner style and you can see the cooks fixing the orders. I have been 4 times now. The hash browns are always crispy, shredded style. My eggs have always been cooked the way I have asked, never over cooked or undercooked. Finally, the english muffins are made fresh daily and are very good. They are quite a bit thinner than I expected, but very tasty. Clean and good service. My only complaint is the price– Its a little more than I would have expected from a diner style restaurant.

I ate breakfast here with my mother, and I found this place to be absolutely wonderful. The dinning area is very clean and spacious. The food is cheap and delicious. And my water and coffee was never empty, which means the service was impeccable IMO. I will definitely come here again and I would love to try their lunch and dinner options.

I have eaten breakfast here several times. The service, price, and quality of food is excellent. YesterdayThe food came out hot and very tasty. The toast was buttered all over and the ham was excellent. A good decaf coffee. I enjoy the Smuckers blackberry jam provided.

We went there for the first time and we got it to go. Logo looks weird. Maybe the color coordination, it doesn’t scream to represent the theme of the restaurant. Floor was kind of dirty. Furnitures they had was cheap chairs and cheap tables. Interior reminds me of cheap dinners. The service was ok. Music was not that good. I had a shrimp and grits and my son had eggs Benedict. My shrimp and grits had no taste, I added salt and a pinch of red peppers. And his eggs Benedict, he said those eggs were over done. English muffin I had, was ok but nothing extra ordinary, if your name of the restaurant is, «English Muffin,» don’t you want to serve the best? Price is descent but I won’t come back there any time soon, there are too many other restaurants serve more than descent breakfast.

I had a similar experience to Shayla’s and feel reassured to see that it wasn’t just me. It started with lukewarm coffee, followed by cold’ish pancakes and hash browns. Another person with me had pancakes that were warm but not fully cooked(gooey center). Both of our pancakes had the fruit cooked in despite the menu pic showing fruit on top(minor irritation). The hash browns were very plain– no flavor at all. Our waitress wasn’t with it either. I had been before and remember not being impressed but didn’t review it. I came back with a group but didn’t say anything since everyone else was excited and paid for it yet again.

We ended up here on Christmas eve morning because our top two choices for breakfast weren’t open because of the holiday. I ordered the eggs benedict, we split an order of biscuits and gravy, and he ordered the cheese steak skillet and coffee. The biscuits were leaving in flavor while the gravy was overly peppered. Our plates were ice cold, which isn’t ideal for serving hot food — the cheese on his skillet wasn’t even melted when our food arrived. The hollandaise was too thick and not well-balanced. The pancakes and French toast that whizzed by our table to other diners seemed much more appealing. It was $ 20 plus tip for everything, and the service was fine, albeit it took a few minutes to receive menus. I wouldn’t put up a big fight if someone else wanted to go here, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend it given the other options for breakfast in New Albany.

We were looking for a new breakfast joint and had a coupon for The English Muffin and decided to give it a try in lieu of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the crab cake benedict and my husband ordered the corned beef hash benedict, both with hashbrowns. The food was great, the coffee was decent, the bathroom was well kept and the service was ok. We will definitely return.

I found the service to be extremely attentive with offerings of more hollandaise sauce to go on my crab cake Benedict, coffee or change of drink, and a to go menu with listings of their daily specials. Glancing at other reviews I can only say they took service comments to heart and set out to improve which was fabulous on my visit. There is also a small meeting room in the rear of the restaurant available and I see they have catering too. There is some outside seating. I would not leave without trying one of their outstanding homemade English muffins!

The food is inexpensive and it’s nice to have more options for breakfast in the area. The food was descent but the menu could be better… when you order biscuits and gravy who wants only one biscuit? Also the English muffins are terrible.

I went here for breakfast, and the food just wasn’t very good. All of my food was COLD. The biscuits and gravy had great flavor, but it was cold. Hashbrowns had zero flavor and the sausage links left little to be desired. The scrambled eggs were the only thing that tasted ok. This place just wasn’t happening for me.

I go here a good bit and it serves my needs well. It’s inexpensive and the food is decent. It’s actually very decent. I really want to give this place a better review. While I enjoy the food and have had some good service, I’ve also had really, really bad service. On at least four occasions, they came out with incomplete orders. Providing fresh fruit instead of hash browns seems to trip so many of the servers up. Toast has been delivered or not delivered. One server said she was going back to make it fresh and then filled coffee for three tables, stopped to talk to a friend, and then it seemed to dawn her that toast was supposed to be made. Maybe in her home, they have toast for dessert. But one time they were so generous with toast they brought me an order of toast as a side dish to a sandwich! Seriously? Today I went and I was the only patron in the restaurant. A young man was sitting at the counter visiting with a server who, of course, ended up being my server. I ordered a sandwich with a cup of soup with the request, soup first. I do this a great deal and it’s never a difficult task. However, the 10 feet between my table and the counter must be a memory mine field because she forgot. I tried to get her attention but the guy had her attention. Okay, I’m old, he’s young. He’s a lot better looking than me. I’m pretty interesting but he had her attention. It didn’t really matter, however. I was not there to visit with the server, I was interested in lunch. She delivered my sandwich and soup at the same time and said, «Sorry, O forgot.» The reality is that it quietly cost her a dollar. I usually always tip over 20% and she got 15%; and for me to leave that little is rare. There are some very good servers here and I’ve had some good service. I added the third star for the food and the good servers I’ve had. I can’t give them better until they begin to actually train and supervise their servers, however.

The food is okay, not exceptionally good, but not bad either. The service is adequate. My table was a little ‘sticky’ from a previous customer that must have skilled a little syrup and the server didn’t clean it up properly. Also my bill was $ 4.99 plus $.34 sales tax. I handed the server a $ 10 bill. She asked if I needed change back. Seriously? Did she expect a $ 4.66 tip on a meal that cost $ 5.34?

I’ve eaten at The English Muffin three times now(dine in twice, carry out once). The service has been friendly, attentive, and prompt each time. The food is generally decent for what it is, very basic breakfast items. By far the best items on the menu are the omelets which always seem to come out light and fluffy and can be totally customized. However, we were disappointed when we ordered the french toast, which stated on the menu that it would be made on Texas Toast and it arrived at the table on regular bread and still under cooked. We often eat at A Nice Restaurant just down the street and they have set a high bar for what true Texas Toast looks like. We were also disappointed when we ordered fruit as a side with a carry out meal and received a biscuit instead. It turned out that the biscuit was really delicious, but the lack of attention to filling the order correctly was still frustrating. Overall, I’ll visit The English Muffin if someone else suggests it, or every other restaurant is really busy, but its never my first choice.
