Whitewater Rafting Adventures

This was our second time with the same whitewater rafting company. Friendly informative staff to answer questions on the phone. Raft guides were funny, fun and knowledgeable! Facility was clean and scenic. Overall– great experience! Will keep on coming back!

Very disappointed with the registration process. I paid for tickets, got a confirmation email, but we did not get to go on the trip. The night before our rafting trip i opened the email to see what we needed to bring. Below the section confirming my purchase and day and time of the event was another section. This section had instruction to register for the event. Confused, i tried to do this and could not. When i contacted the company i was told the trip was 100% sold out. This means that my group purchased four tickets, but somehow they were 100% sold out. A waste of money and time. Not to mention how excited we had been all week or that this was a birthday event for me. Now half our group is going as they read the full email earlier and the other half of us are not. Not a very good signup process. They should have people register fully before taking our money.

The staff at Whitewater Rafting Adventures is excellent, knowledgeable and very well educated in all aspects of rafting and the river itself… They were accommodating to our group from the beginning and did everything they could to make our trip as perfect as could be… Loved the river. It was beautiful. Can’t wait to try some class 3 rapids next time we go…

Great experience for a first timer doing whitewater rafting. Great for groups and family. Our group did the class ²⁄₃ rapids and they weren’t to crazy where you would fall off your raft. The only scary parts are when you get stuck on the rocks and you have to figure out how to get yourself out of them. It took us 4 hours to get down the river and it goes by super fast! We also took lunch halfway through the trip. They also give you a complimentary snack that includes hotdogs chips, soda, and water, which is really nice of them. Overall I had a nice day out on the water and I’m very happy I chose this company to go rafting with since our guides were awesome.

This was my first time whitewater rafting and I had a great time. The guides were great and the location had other activities to participate in such at paintballing and ziplining.
When we first got there we obviously had questions about rafting and gear. The girls working the register were absolutely no help at all. They were seriously clueless. They sounded like they were still in high school and were only trained to operate a cash register. One of the guides, I believe his name was Wyatt, was able to answer all of our questions.
When the bus dropped us off at the river, we had to wait 30 – 45 minutes for them to bring rafts up. They were late due to some scheduling confusion. We went on a class I/​II trip. It was too calm for our liking. One of the guides said it was geared towards families. Fortunately the guides encouraged water fights between the rafts during the calm parts of the river. The water fights were much needed during the long boring calm sections of the river.
The was a free bbq when we returned. Don’t expect much.
We also tried the zip line. It was really short and I feel it wasn’t worth the $ 10 I paid (regularly $ 15).
Anyway, I had a great time and will definitely do this again but definitely go for class III rapids.

This place is awesome.
My friends and I reserved this place about a week in advance, we elected to go with the rafting. Unfortunately, one of my friends got sick right before the trip, so we only had 4 going. Since it was not refundable, we asked if we could switch our rafting to a package so we won’t have to lose $$ for our friends not being able to make it.
They were accommodating, and said it was fine.
So when we arrived, the first day for the rafting, there was a café, and buncha other people already there. We got checked in, and everyone was super friendly. It was supposed to be a really nice day, and of course, with my luck, it was a solid low 60s. We rented a wet suit for the rafting and it was only $ 12/​person.
Since it was middle of September, they no longer had dam releases, but just a fun family float down the Lehigh River Gorge.
We had such a fun time just floating along and watching other rafters be hilarious. There was a lunch break, and the whole trip took about 4 hours.
The guides had so much personality, and there was a really cute tour guide. Our friends affectionately named her, «the cute 17 and half year old.» (We have no idea how old she is, she could be 21 for all we know.) We were absolutely pooped by the end of the trip. Thank goodness it was only a float, and not an intense rapids trip.
The next day, we came back for the biking, and we were about 10 minutes late. Turns out we were the only group for the biking, and they were patiently waiting for us. Larry, our tour guide was just a really nice guy with great character. He fitted us all for bikes and dropped us off 26 miles up from the check in site. We didn’t get a chance to pack a lunch, so he opened up the café for us to grab some granola bars.
We had such a nutritious lunch with a large bag of lays, pretzels, and granola bars.
The trail was amazing and beautiful. It was laden with waterfalls and other appealing scenery. We also met a talking snake! (Just kidding about the talking part, we tried talking to the snake, but he wasn’t really responsive. I think we pissed him off.)
I would highly recommend Rafting Adventures just because they are pretty flexible with things and they are super nice (and there’s a 17.5 year old).

My family and I had a great time here! At first I was a bit concerned about my little one (4 years old) because I was nervous that we would fall out but he was totally fine. In fact he sat in the middle (what they call the ejector seat) and he loved it, none of us fell out of the raft. Now if someone is reading this and has never gone rafting before, especially if you are going with small children, don’t worry it will be fine as long as you sign up for level 1 rafting, and spot the rocks ahead of time (you can also ask for a guide to sit in the boat with you). One thing I do want to warn people about is the length on the trip, you need to prep yourself for a lot of work and arm muscles! The length is longer then what they say, we started at 1:20 pm so by time they gave us the instructions and drove us to the site, it must have been around 2pm but the time we arrived back to the original location, it was almost 7pm! So it is an all day event. On another note, the guides do give you the options to get into the river and swim during certain points of the trip and about mid way they stop and eat lunch which was very nice. The guides even let my children try their kayaks, which was awesome. Oh if you can, try to bring a water proof camera or video recorder because the shots you can get alone the way is priceless, but done worry if you can not there is someone who will take 2 pictures during your ride (but mostly likely you will not know when the picture is taken). Over all I have to say this was an awesome ride and place, the staff is super friendly and helpful. I cannot wait to go there again, but this time trying level 2.

Have used several outfitters in the area. While they are all good, I believe WRA to be the best. Great guides with great attitudes and experience. Very accommodating to our group from start to finish. Went with a group of boyscouts, everyone was very helpful and accommodating.

Good company with nice guides. They were knowledgeable and skilled. Family friendly for sure.

I came last Saturday with a group of 20 something classmates, and this was without a doubt the most fun I’ve had all year. If you’ve never gone rafting (which I hadn’t, until last Saturday) I definitely recommend it! It was exhilarating! I went on a class ²⁄₃ rapids trip, and each raft carried 4 – 6 people. Ive heard that some companies have a guide inside every raft, but we were able to go w/​just our friends and the guides accompanied us on the side in kayaks. It made it a lot more fun, as we were able to get into a little more… mischief…without a guide in our raft. =)
Whitewater Rafting Adventures provided everything for us. We had a delicious, abundant boxed lunch (sandwiches, chips, cookies, soda/​water — conveniently packed in waterproof bins) and when we got back from the river, we had hot showers and a hotdog dinner waiting for us. The guides were all extremely fun, friendly, and super skilled at rafting/​kayaking. EVERYTHING was perfectly planned by this company
I had a blast, and even though it’s pretty far from NYC, I can’t wait to go rafting again w/​Whitewater Rafting Adventures.

This is a good outfit. The people care and the river trip is good and long. Same trip as Jim Thorpe River Adventure, but lower price and just as nice and professional of people. I have been with all the outfitters and WRA is solid. The staff seems to care a lot about your experience. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to raft the Lehigh…
They do some other stuff, too, like biking and paintball, but their main thing is rafting — which they do very well.
