They only call when they want more money. Trying to get customer service is difficult. You have to hope you get an email response. I don’t see them investing in new functionality and yet they charge high fees to be able to get the updates and help support. We are very disappointed. I cannot recommend this company.

Very disappointing organization. I used to deal with Insight Direct, a company based out of Boston for a software solution for CRM, dispatching, scheduling, etc. They were terrible in their treatment of customers. Overpriced license fees, updates to their software were meaningless as they produced very little new functionality every year, and their treatment of long-​term customers was abominable. When Marathan Data purchased Insight Direct, things went from bad to worse. The most terrible customer services, hold times of over an hour, and perhaps the most sketchy sales practices I have ever seen. They NEVER offer more than «20%» on their promotions, and yet their sales people will contact customers with the line «I have gone above and beyond for you to get the best possible discount…20%!» and yet just days after one gets duped into such shiesty sales pitches, one is left bewildered as the company launches the same promotion via an email campaign for the 20% discount. It’s pathetic and showcases the sales and business practices of this organization.
Moreover, they charge exorbitant license fees for a software solution that is STILL client-​server based. Their cloud based solution is priced at a ridiculous rate of $ 125/​month/​user. Whoever heard of a cloud-​based solution charging such outrageous fees? Worse yet, their cloud-​based solution doesn’t even offer the same functionality as their outdated client-​server version.
There are countless other cloud based apps that are cheaper, better, and easier to deal with. I highly suggest that all service based companies stay away from Marathon Data. They have ripped me off for the last time.

Update — I was finally able to cancel, I still had to pay for a full year of service, they removed the two user licences that I had added two weeks before I canceled which was good. But then they wouldn’t let me buy out just 5 months like they first offered. So I asked them to create an invoice so I could pay off and end this incredibly wasteful experience. Guess what, after we paid to cancel, they sent another bill because they canceled my service 3 months after I asked to cancel. So just beware of doing business with a company like this, customers are not their top concern as evidenced by my experience of having to hound them to cancel. In all it cost me about $ 2500 for a 60 day trial and a 6 month headache.

I don’t recommend PestPac. We never even went live, but they took my money even though my office was unable to meet their minimum speed requirements.
Also, they did not return calls.
They sent me a clear message that they care more about taking my money than being fair and having a happy customer.
Beware.
There are so many other pest software companies out there… less expensive, better customer service.
Don’t take the risk.
