Lake Mattoon

I went for the first time this past weekend and had a great time. The people there are extremely friendly and helpful.
I went with my girlfriend’s family who have had property there for many years. We were able to go on the boat, swim, kayak, paddle boat, and go tubing. I know a lot of people fish there as well.
This place is great for dogs as well. I took my dog and he loved being outdoors. Which is a nice chance of pace for him living in Chicago. I dumped him in the lake and he swam a little bit, even though he doesn’t love seining. But where the property is the water was shallow enough for him to hop around in the water and still have his feet on the ground.
Overall, I would definitely come back.
