Optical Designs in Needham, MA is an outstanding optical store. Not only do they have the best selection of unique, fun and stylish frames, the service that I received from ILANA was not to be believed. I was uncertain about which frames would be right for me and Ilana very patiently gave me the opportunity to consider many different options. Her expertise and professionalism assisted me to determine just which frames would suit me the best. I love what I chose and highly recommend Optical Designs for anyone who needs glasses!

I was in town for work & dropped my glasses causing one lens to pop out of the frames. I walked in at 5:35, technically after closing & the staff was not only friendly, but fixed my glasses at no charge on the spot.

We have been going to Optical Designs for about 25 years and completely agree with all the excellent reviews. Recently I was at work and my glasses broke. I received exceptional and quick service — all with a smile and no hassles. While other optical stores might be less expensive, NONE can give the exceptional service and quality as Optical Designs. All the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. You really shouldn’t go anywhere else. (And they didn’t pay me to say this!)

My wife and I are bordering on blindness and made a trip to this family-​owned business on a friend’s recommendation. We received the most thorough eye exam either of us have ever received. We ordered the requisite contacts, and my wife decided to get new glasses as well. I was a bit jealous, as they had a ton of stylish frames. The service was great, providing her with advice on what styles would work best with the face and prescription. She loves the frames she went with, and I’ll probably go back myself to get frames out of envy. Definitely recommend this place.

I was in the market for some new glasses and I heard about Optical Designs from a friend. As soon as I walked in the door I was welcomed by the extremely friendly staff and was given personal attention for over 45 minutes trying to find the perfect glasses. The overall experience was awesome and the service is top notch. I have already referred two family members to Optical Designs and I will definitely be going back for all my future eye care needs. A+!

Incredibly helpful, great service. My daughter went into glasses at age 3 and was constantly breaking them (on purpose??). Optical Design repaired them quickly and at no cost. The glasses themselves might be priced very high, but the service can’t be beat.

Incredibly helpful, friendly service and technically the best lenses I’ve gotten anywhere. They do work with insurance plans so those discounts are available. My only reservation, they don’t carry the most complete line of high fashion glasses. But they do have some, and will be happy to order any that they don’t carry. After lots of frustration with more upscale places, I keep coming back to optical designs.
