I am dumbfounded by the mean-​spirited negative views below. They say much more about the reviewers than they do about this fine establishment. I brought some high quality boots into Chris the other day for new heels and some repairs. The boots were returned to me absolutely perfect! And on time. With the meticulous polishing they looked brand new, and at a very reasonable price. Chris couldn’t have been friendlier or more accomodating. He is a meticulous professional who takes obvious pride in his work. Because of my excellent experience, I am planning to bring several additional pairs to Chris. I HIGHLY recommend Master Shoe Repair and I hope you will bring your shoe work to this local business.

I can’t believe the previous reviews are talking about the same place. i have been back three times just in case the great service was just a fluke, but each time they have been extremely friendly, remembered me when I returned, helpful about getting one job done quickly, and much more reasonable than I expected for what I ha done (lifts, polishing, glueing a sole). Shoe repair just isn’t cheap, and it’s frustrating to pay almost as much for the repair as you paid for the shoes (no LaBoutins, but having tried a lot of shoe repair people in the area I am now going to settle down with Master Shoe!,

I would give this place zero stars of I could.
I wanted to support the local business here in needham and decided to take me Christian Louboutins and Chanel shoes to Master Shoe Repair to get rubber soles. I should have known in the begenning that I was in for a nightmare when I called to ask if they had the red soles to match Louboutins. Chris responded by saying «yes, we do Louis Vuittons.» uhmmm… I was asking about Louboutins but he still insisted Louis Vouittons. I wish I never went at this point but I still gave the, a shot.
I had them do 3 Louboutins and 1 Chanel. When I picked the shoes up, I initially was excited but after close examination my excitement turned into anger. The lether on the edge of the soles were torn and scraped deeply. It was clear that they tried to cover it up with a ton of wax and polish. The most damage was done on my most expensive pair ($ 1500). When I pointed it out, he replied by saying that no one will notice it. What? Is this guy serious? The guy was defensive and kept denying that the shoes were botched. I should receive my shoes in the same condition as when I gave it to the them not worse. He was not sypethic and told me that he works on thousand dollar shoes all the time. It is clear that that is not true. He only comped one pair and I still paid $ 100 for the others. I was Soooooo upset. I am still very upset about the situation. I should have gone to my usual guy at Odessa’s on Newbury st who does an impeccable job.
I cannot believe how messed up my shoes were because of Master Show Repair. Beware of this place if you have high end shoes. They are awful.

Worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. The owner should be ashamed of how he treats customers. He doesn’t seem to care at all about craftsmanship and the customer will never be right here. Obnoxiously loud music to boot. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I took my business up the street and they were fabulous.

This place is awesome! They are open till 6 and will polish your shoes while you wait; which is good because I need them spiffy for a wedding tomorrow AM.
The price for a basic shine is $ 8, pretty reasonable I think. They also have some before/​after pics on the window of their shoe restoration work.
The shoes came out with a mirror finish. I think I was waiting about 15 minutes. They also threw in a pair of laces for a buck (good call cause my laces were pretty frayed).
The service was fantastic — which is a breath of fresh air since every other shoe repair place on Unilocal has complaints about the service. Not here — they are locals who speak good ol’ fashioned Boston English. Soup nazis need not apply.
It’s good to know anytime I need a pair of dress shoes polished, whether for a meeting or a special occasion, I can just stop here on my way home from work. I’ll definitely be back.
