History
Established in 1953.
Direct Federal is a federally insured credit union located in Needham, Massachusetts. Starting as a local lender in 1953, Direct has served several hundreds of thousands of satisfied members over the years — and in doing so, has earned a reputation as being one of the most dependable places in which to do business. Anyone who lives, works, worships, or goes to school in Norfolk County; or, has an immediate family member that lives, works, worships, or goes to school in Norfolk County is eligible to join. Direct Federal is a not-for-profit, meaning that earnings are invested right back into the credit union. And that means Direct Federal can offer its members lower loan rates and higher deposit rates that they simply won’t see anywhere else.

In his nearly decade-and-a-half tenure with Direct, Jeff has acquired an uncanny knack for educating members so they know exactly what to expect. Whether fielding questions about a car’s trade-in value, or directing members to streamlined service options like mobile deposits or web banking, Jeff’s passion (outside of spending time with his family) is rooted in empowering members so they always feel good about their choice.
