CareWell Urgent Care

I have had two experiences at CareWell in Needham; once for my husband who was bitten by a dog and once for myself for a lingering cough. Both times we were greeted cheerfully in a bright clean facility, treated promptly and efficiently. It is so much easier than the emergency room, or having to make the Dr. appointment for certain problems that they are set up to handle.

Honestly this was a horrible experience. The doctor came in knowing nothing that I had told the nurse. The doctor looked at my leg (a healing poison ivy rash) and told me I had a fungal infection, which was totally untrue. Then she looked at another rash that had been scratched open and told me it was getting infected, which it was not. So she PRESCRIBED me hydrocortisone crème which is over the counter and antibiotics for the imaginary infection. I called my insurance company and told them not to pay they said it doesn’t work like that. steer clear of this place. Waste of time and money.

These guys are great, fast and doc is knowledgeable. R.N. Friendly and easy to talk to. We’ve used this urgent care 2x on off hour times and have been pleased. Sure beats waiting at emergency room for less than emergency issues.

Lots of attitude. Also, the doctor ran more than $ 500 in extra tests that my fiancé specifically told to the doctors face not to run. Doctor ordered the tests anyway, then blamed us for not «reading over the discharge form you signed». My fiancé was sick, and taken advantage of. I’ve never had to carefully read a discharge form ANYWHERE to check that the doctor was not running tests she explicitly was told not to run. I mean how deceitful can you be? Then to robotically repeat «you signed the form» over and over again, and provide no help?
Now we have to pay $ 250 out of pocket because the reason we didn’t want those tests is because we are low income and literally can’t afford it.
Thanks for forcing us into financial hardship Carewell. You really care well about your patients, or should I call us «customers». Now we are at the mercy of Quest Diagnostics.

Rude, disrespectful, and don’t know what they are talking about. Got charged for a visit weeks later and was told my insurance didn’t cover it. However, they put me on antibiotics and told me to stop taking them if the strep test came back negative they would call me back in a few days. Never got a call back and you never start an antibiotic and stop taking them you get immune to them. When I called about the extra charge the woman I spoke to was extremely unprofessional and rude and could careless about how they were suppose to call me back because it was never in the doctors notes… telling me I pretty much was lying the doctor never sent out the strep test she told me she was going to. There was clearly a misunderstanding she kept saying. So when your doctors tells a patient something and doesn’t do it, it must be I didn’t hear her right. She even laughed after some of my concerns… Is this how you treat your patients?! I will never step foot back in this place. I’d rather go to the cvs minute clinic, I’ve had much better service there and were very professional!

CareWell is great. They are extremely attentive, professional, and helpful. I’ve been there a number of times for myself and my family and will always go there when there is something that can’t wait for the regular doctor and is not quite critical enough for the ER. I went there this evening with a sliver of glass stuck in my foot that I couldn’t dig out on my own. I didn’t even have time to make it through an article in People magazine before they called me in and started working on it. Very clean & modern equipment, non of the uncomfortable emergency room feeling.

I have been to this Carewell at least 6 times this year with my kids and also a friend who broke her foot. The staff is amazing, Cheryl, the nurse, is very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Most of the time we have had Dr. Aubrey who is great. One time I needed a physical for sports at the last minute and they did a great job. I NEVER have to wait here. They take most insurances and you just pay your regular co-​pay. (for the physical it was $ 50) I don’t know why anyone would go to the emergency room when we have Carewell in town.

Very convenient. I came in on a saturday evening, got stitches and a prescription and was out the door within an hour.

Very clean! Everyone is super friendly! I will return!
