I found Elly at her Patches of Star Dairy booth at the Union Square Green Market in New York, NY. What a great find! I feel like I could have talked with this kind and warm woman in great length but I was eager to make a get away to enjoy my goat’s milk ice cream. She makes a variety of products all from goats, including ice cream, cheese, truffles and meat. Maybe another time I’ll try the cheese but today I was all about the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip ice cream. I meant to save some for later, but instead I found myself devouring the entire 12oz container. Oops? I don’t regret it! Maybe next time I’ll give the Moose Tracks a try; it was strongly recommended by another woman who was buying it as well as by Elly herself.
From what the interwebs tell me she is in Union Square, NYC Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. On Sunday she is at Headhouse Square, Philadelphia.
