Love this place. Their burritos are great, and their red salsa is my favorite salsa ever! The name of the place makes more sense after trying the salsa. Dave and staff are great, and the prices are very reasonable. Although not on the menu, you have to try the Andrew burrito! It’s amazing! Their machaca burrito is also very good.

Best carnitas tacos, EVER! The customer service was excellent (thanks Cindy), awesome and authentic food and great place overall. The carnitas tacos I had were piled high and very fulfilling. The guacamole is made right there — how can you resist? I couldn’t. Go here and enjoy!

Taco Salsa was recommended to me by a close friend who told me I had to try the «Andrew Burrito» it’s not on the menu so you have to ask for it by name. I was not disappointed with the delicious grilled chicken and the white Chipotle sauce. I was also very pleased with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly smiles from the staff. I am going back soon!

Went here yesterday based on good Unilocal reviews. was very happy with the food and the service by Cindy… was the best I’ve ever had. blown away by her friendliness. .will definitely be coming back soon.

Let me start by saying this place is clean not just the tables but the counters, chairs, floors, soda machine. The music isn’t crazy loud either. Just right.
The burritos were great and tasted fresh.
The staff were all very friendly and it was just an overall great taco/​burrito shop.

I have always been a fan! But today I had a wonderful experience that I told myself I definitely had to «Yelp» about it. I went with my little 4 year old little girl to have burritos. Cindy took my order with a huge smile and noticed my little girl. She offered to cut the burrito in half so it would cool down quicker. After we ate, she asked if it was ok to give my daughter a treat and I said «Yeah, sure». She gave her a bag of chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Cindy was very pleasant and attentive with a genuine heart. I can tell the difference between fake and real… and she was definitely REAL. Thank you Cindy for being a wonderful and happy human being. Always have loved Taco Salsa, but now I love it more because of Cindy.

I have been coming here off and on since it was on Highland. Whenever I come to the area I try to stop by. Their food is delicious and they have made it even better by adding vegetarian options!

Kiddo loved their California burrito and said we could get it from there again! Winning! I had a great convo with a 13+ year regular customer whose whole family swore by the place so I’d say they’re pretty legit. Friendly girl working the counter and she remembered to put the guac on the side instead of in the burrito because it has onions in it and my kid isn’t 100% about that life yet. ;-)

The regular food was good. The chips and guacamole was excellent! Overall I’d say ³⁄₅

This is the place to go if you want some of the best carne asada fries in town! They have super friendly staff and the place is always clean. Five stars! The owner is really nice and friendly, this place has such a welcoming atmosphere.

The food here is really good. I would come here about twice a month when I worked in the area. The manager, Dave, is also a great host and very accommodating. The prices are not exactly cheap, especially in the area where most of the food is affordable, but it is worth it.

These days I feel like no taco shops have taco salads anymore … But they finally have one and it’s delicious! Will have to be back here for my taco salad fix. The chicken was really well seasoned and cooked, and the cheese is super fresh and tasty! No complaints here!

Best chimichanga in town!!! It is very fresh and not deep fried. Definitely worth checking out!!!

My dad & I love this place! Every time we come in, Cindy takes our order. She knows what customer service is! I love that they always have the place clean as well! I recommend their veggie chimichangas. They are delicious! :)

I searched my handy Unilocal app for a Mexican restaurant close by that had the good guacamole — no sour cream as a filler and lots of chunks of fresh tomatoes and onion!
Low and behold this turned out to be amazing! The woman at the front counter was extremely helpful and informative in explaining sizes and prices and options.
When I inquired about the freshness of ingredients she explained she herself cut and peeled the avocados every morning and that even the cheese on the chips and Guac was shredded in house from a fresh block of cheese everyday! I was excited to try them!
I got my order to go and when I opened the box it looked amazing! The fresh salsa fresca made my mouth water and the chips were extremely fresh! I dove in thinking, man do I need to put a picture of this on Unilocal!However, before I knew it I had finished the whole thing! :D So, my apologies for not taking a photo first but, that should be an account as to how great it was! I highly recommend this place!

Salmon tacos, where the salmon is deliciously grilled and the tacos served, stuffed with cabbage and a succulent white sauce?! Get. Out. Of. Here.
We luckily got the last portion of salmon for the day (hooray!), and also ordered a special #1 (beef taco, bean tostada, rolled taco and a drink), carne asada chips (my favorite!), and a California burrito (so good).
Little known fact, they have a spicier green salsa — you just have to ask!

Pretty decent product. Had a carnitas burrito on a Saturday and it was a strong «C» grade. The salsa was good. Meat was good too. The portion to price was a deficit, it was a smallish burrito. I was not wowed by the lunch and parking a is a bit of a hassle during prime time.

I’ve being going to Taco Salsa in National City & Taco Surf in Pacific Beach for over 20 years. The two locations used to be owned by two brothers but I’m not sure if that’s still the case. Regardless, the food has stayed delicious all these years.
Their taco sauce is the best I’ve ever had. My eldest son tells me he could drink this stuff by itself, that’s how good it is!
I always get the fish tacos & they blow away the fish tacos from Rubios. The quesadillas are also stellar.
Love, love, love Taco Salsa. Ok, now I’m hungry!
