I love coming to Starbucks generally because of the friendly staff. And usually I would never write a Unilocal review about Starbucks but seriously horrible! Both my drinks came out wrong when I brought it up to the girl at the drive thru window she made it seem like I ordered my drinks wrong? I’ve never had a problem before. So I had to go inside to get my drinks fixed every worker in there could of cared less and was so rude. Never again coming to this location.

Horrible experience!!! Didn’t even get my name, when they called out the drink a few people walked over and finally I waited a few minutes and walked up and asked if it was mine, the young lady said yes and then I asked I’m missing another drink 10 minutes later and she said what was it? when I received the drink it wasn’t even correct!!! When I approached the barista to let her know my drink didn’t taste right, she said«hmm okaaaay?» she then grabbed the drink threw it into trash and drink splashed everywhere! It was very upsetting! Specially if I said I was sorry and I hate to complain. 2÷19÷16 @ 7:23pm

I used to come here all the time but then they always messed up my order but I forgive them because they give me free forgiveness card lol! If you’re not happy talk to the manager. Anyway I still like this area because it’s a mile away from my place where I can just walk on the weekends. Plus they have a drive thru service. Overall good location right off the freeway 805, next to Popeyes chicken, McDonald’s, Manila seafood etc. it’s my chill place playin Jazz music & shit. Lol! ;) Happy Sunday & happy love day!!!

No used coffee grounds. Employees could be a bit more knowledgeable. Otherwise, a standard Starbucks.

They need more than 1 cashier. Especially when the lady in front of me bought 12 drinks and paid for each one separately. Really, call for back up to help when you see that. 5 others were behind me too. The guy that was beind me also got his drink first when we ordered the same thing. Stopped in from out of town but won’t be back. The cashier was nice but they are understaffed with the amount of customers that were in there and in the drive through line.

Some of the workers were rude & were talking shit about customers quite loudly. We went through the drive-thru and they didnt even close the window while talking shit.

The Starbucks on E Plaza in National City is probably one of the worst in town. I don’t go to this particular location often, only if I’m in the area, but after my last visit I won’t be returning. Where do I begin… Slow service, bad customer service and drinks made incorrectly. If you screw-up my order and I bring it to your attention, that doesn’t warrant eye rolling and a nasty attitude. Smile, apologize, re-make the drink quickly and send me on my way. The employees at this location need to work on their customer service, efficiency/timing, attention to detail and drink making skills. Get it together folks… It’s not rocket science!

Kinda mad. There are only three things in my life that you don’t mess with, my money, my family and my Starbucks… It puts me in a horrible mood when my Starbucks is messed up. But I am not only pissed that they messed up my drink, but that cup was dirty… Really? Then when they asked me if they wanted me to fix it… No… I’m good, the one on mile of cars and the 5 fixed it for me for free and with a smile.

This Starbucks is the WORST location I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going here consistently for over a year now(since I live two blocks away it’s convenient). Each and every time I go, my order is wrong. When I question my order, the staff responds defensively and rude. They are not your typical Starbucks friendly fun staff. Always rude and not approachable. I will not be coming here again. I will make the drive elsewhere to enjoy a Starbucks that actually cares if I am their customer.

I was here last week, the inside was very cold, AC running on OT! I sat outside on the side of the building for a while but got a bit windy, decided to go back in, with laptop and all. Well once you go out, you can’t get back in as the door locks. I had to go around the building and through the front door and several trips as I was carrying items. I sat at the very first table as you go in on the front, it wobbles so much I had to grab my drink so it wouldn’t spill. I froze and hung on to my drink, not very practical.

Does not deserve a star. I clearly ordered 2 specific drinks, only to pay for 2 drinks that were NOT what I ordered. I get it, they might be busy, but getting an order correct should be their priority. The other few times, they ran out of the iced tea that was clearly being advertised. Not going to go the extra length to put the establishment down, but tired of giving them the benefit of the doubt.

The line sucks, parking sucks, location sucks and honestly the drinks suck here too. I prefer the new starbucks by In n Out. It’s fast, the line isn’t ever too long, drinks are awesome and the parking area isn’t too bad.

I hate this Starbucks location. 1) Drive-Thru Slowest of all drive-thru Starbucks I have ever visited. And today, they CLOSED the drive-thru. Wtf? There were only about 4 staff inside(normally I see about 10) so I can only assume they closed it because they didn’t have enough staff working. Luckily I was already inside, avoiding the 10-car line in the drive-thru that would’ve taken at least 30 minutes to get through. 2) Drinks So inconsistent. I used to drink frappucinos with extra coffee in them but the regular amount of ice, so they would come out a little soupy. I liked them that way. Multiple occasions ordering here, I got frappucinos more icy than I have ever gotten from any other location with the exact same order. I now drink iced coffee that isn’t too confusing, but it’s still messed up anytime I go here. 3) Customer Service Shitty. Staff regularly roll their eyes and make annoyed facial expressions as soon as turning around from their customer. 4) Common Sense Be prepared to grab a stir stick or use your hands if you order a pastry with butter. Not sure if they don’t have knives or if they just lack the common sense to notify customers that they have run out. 5) Parking /Seating Parking outside is pretty horrible, it’s easier to just park farther away down the side of the parking lot(towards Euclid, sort of behind Starbucks) rather than get trapped in by the drive-thru line. Seating inside is also pretty bad. I can only guess the success of this Starbucks location is based on their free wifi! And lazy people that rely heavily on the drive-thru and continue to patronize this Starbucks even though it regularly takes half an hour(or more) to get through the drive-thru.

For me, this place is always a hit or miss. The consistency lacks with how the drinks are being made because sometimes the drinks are made perfectly, while other times, the drinks just have something lacking. One time, I had a torn up bottle Cap at the bottom of my drink. It was as if someone accidentally dropped it in the blender. I can say that the employees are very and enthusiastic. Plus, after the remodel, this location is beautiful. I study here quite often during the school year because it is close and there are a lot of tables. Oh yes, and the drive-thru is open 24 hours.

Here’s a tip: Do not park directly outside this Starbucks. Just because it’s prime parking, it won’t be prime by the time you get out of that spot. Do yourself a favor, stretch your legs, and park a bit farther in the parking lot. Better to walk to your car for less than a minute then wait 5+ minutes to get out of your spot because the jerk behind you won’t let you back up because they are trying to get into the drive thru. Or cars coming from the opposite direction of the shopping plaza are maneuvering through the gap of cars going to the drive thru further ensuring your blockage. Not to mention, that Drive Thru line has been known to stretch onto the street. When that happens, just go inside, it’ll move a lot faster that way. Did reading this paragraph feel wordy and stressful? Wait until you actually experience it happening. It’s a rage-inducing nightmare! As for studying, I don’t normally like to study here. The times that I have tried to study here, it was either so loud it overpowered my own music, the smell of the people smoking outside waifed inside and gave me a headache so I couldn’t take being there any longer, or there were just no tables available. So, try to come at non peak hours and you should be able to find a seat and an outlet. Service wise, the baristas have always been super friendly. Even after waiting 20 minutes in the drive thru, i’ve never met a barista with a poor attitude.

I like that this Starbucks has a drive thru. The busiest drive thru of all time. Best if you just park and walk in, you’ll get your drink quicker than being in the drive thru line. Every time I come here(inside) the tables are almost always taken by students/customers studying or just hanging out. It’s fairly quiet and you’re not easily distracted by your surroundings unlike other SB locations where I’ve study. The staff are friendly. I use to come here often when I lived in the area and I still see familiar faces here. I haven’t had any bad experience here except that their drive thru takes so loooong! It’s located by plenty of Filipino eatery and market. If you’re not in the mood for coffee you can walk to TapX for boba slush :)

This location can be extremely slow and they aren’t always fully stocked as other reviews have mentioned. I once got a Pumpkin Spice Latte at 5:30am before heading to work and they let me know that I ordered the last Pumpkin Spice Latte of the day. DAFUQ?! I’ve come later in the morning and it’s taken me 20 minutes to get through the drive through. If you come and there is already a line, be a little healthy and take those 20 steps to walk into the store. You’ll be out a lot quicker than waiting in line.
