Interestingly enough they tried to remove my review from Unilocal.This is my Personal experience at Pacific Auto Repair in National City, and my firsthand consumer experience at this physical location with employees of Pacific Auto Repair in National City. By Unilocal rules these meet the criteria for a valid review. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Southwest Car Sales has an El Cajon address, but operates out of Pacific Auto Repair in National City. It is run by Leah and her father Dave. They have by far the worst business ethics I have come across. We came to an agreement on the price with Leah supposed to ensure some items were fixed. After Leah told me everything is ready, I took time off work; at a very busy time; to go to Pacific Auto Repair to complete this deal.
Not only were they not ready with the agreed upon parts, but afterward reneged on the deal. After this unprofessional incident happened, they agreed to another offer and again, at the last minute did not follow through with the deal.
I do not know how a company can stay in business with these types of ethics and business style and I call into question what kind of ethics Pacific Auto Repair has employing people like this. Will they tell you that you need things for your vehicle that you don’t really need? Will the charge you for repairs that are not completed?
I would not trust a vehicle related businesses like this, because they can fool you and not be truthful with what they promise; the vehicle might break down in middle of nowhere or you could be in a serious accident due to the car malfunctioning.
Don’t waste your time doing business with people that will tell you what you want to hear to get you there and then change their mind thinking you will give them what they want.
Anyone who posts good reviews must be friends of the owners.

I took my car in to see Lester after being referred by a Subaru dealership’s parts department. It wasn’t an urgent issue. He looked at my car and put together a parts list and quote. He asked me to call the day before dropping it off so he could order parts to have on hand before my car was there. The quote was 100% accurate and the work was done faster than I expected.
I’m totally happy with the service I received and plan to continue to take my car here for repairs even though it is a bit out of the way.

I have taken both of my vehicles here for repairs/​troubleshooting. Both times Lester communicated the entire issue and what would be the most efficient route of repair. Both repairs were completed on schedule and they noted a few small issues such as exhaust leaks which they corrected. By far my go to shop and the only place I feel comfortable recommending to others!

I was nervous about bringing my car to any shop. Pacific is the authorized auto shop under my warranty. I’m so glad I came. Les made the process very easy and he put me at ease. He’s very professional and I will always come back to him. He’s fast and I feel trustworthy. I recommend to all, bring your cars to Pacific Auto in National City.

I have had my truck worked on over there a couple of times. This last time I needed an engine rebuild. They did a good job and got it done in four weeks which was a long time but it was exactly what they told me it would be and they stuck to the original budget with the exception of a couple of parts that they could not have known about. Lester at the front counter is very helpful.

Car repairs are a total drag. But Lester was so friendly and kind during the process. I knew I needed work because my check engine light was on, but then my battery died which goofed up the check engine light. Lester was patient and had me drive the car and bring it back a few days later. Then, the work I needed cost less than half of other shop’s estimates! Yeay for Lester and Pacific Auto Repair.

This is the only place I trust my car at. Lester is the shop manager down there and he is great! Lester and his team know exactly what they are doing.
I’ve been taking my car there for ten years and Lester always gives me the truth. They never try to sell you on any extras. They tell you what you need and at the best price. No matter where I move to Lester and his shop will always get my business!

I’ve been bringing my car to Lester for 5 years now and my dad has been taking his for maybe a decade, they’re just all fantastic over there. I wouldn’t go anywhere else

I was referred here by a friend of the family after my 95 Ford Thunderbird’s fan belt broke and the steering locked up. Lester was professional and kind. He provided me with an accurate quote and fixed only what needed to be done within a few business hours. Had my car back and running good and safely the same day.
I would recommend this place and will be going here again if ever needed. Thank you Lester!

The people who work here are so helpful and friendly. Will be coming back for all my car needs =)

I’ve been here to get my car checked on three times and Lester consistently does a good job. The best way is to check in with him to schedule an appointment since he is always busy. He will also let you know if there is any else in particular that is wrong with your vehicle.
On another note, if you purchased your car from Island Auto Sales here in National City, you get free oil changes from here forever and I’ve definitely taken advantage of that.
