Before I didn’t have interest in this place, what’s so ever. Which would be 4 – 5 years ago but I must say that they have really changed over the couple of years that passed by. The customer service improve a lot, by them getting to know you and also the care about what drink you get. Like, if it doesn’t taste great they’re willing to switch it out and make a fresh new one for you. I also notice that they keep track of their customers name which shows that they really care about frequent customers that stops by. The food and drinks also got better during the time of years that passed by. Such as new flavor drinks and how they make them. I love their fish balls and crepes and brick toast along with their Mochi ice cream — yuuuuum! I also love how they redesigned the place with new electronic menu with new equipment for their drinks and also new furniture. I can’t explain how much I care about this place and love how they treat me and my family. And I’m glad to be one of their frequent customer and willing to keep going there for boba.

I had come into Lollicup in the afternoon and ordered a taro snow with boba. My drink came out really fast but it had turned out watery. It had no slushy, icy, or thick texture whatsoever. I payed $ 4.00 for a regular size, which was a bit overpriced.

This place has definitely changed since it first opened years ago. Not sure if it’s new management or not but the look and feel is different, the energy is different, and the menu is too and it’s all a good thing. Asked if they had a matcha green tea because I didn’t see it on any of their menus and they did. Also asked if they had soy milk, which they did so I was happy I was able to order what I wanted. The cashier was patient with me as I struggled to find my wallet. I didn’t want to hold up the line so I cancelled my order and went back in line. When it was my turn again, the cashier actually kept my order on the side, which is awesome that I didn’t have to repeat myself. When I drank it, it tasted pretty sweet so I let my ice dilute it a bit but it was still good. I decided to order the Honey Brick Toast as well with Nutella, green tea ice cream, and fresh strawberries. Took a couple of minutes which is fine because it’s made to order and I would be concerned if it came out too fast. The only other time I’ve had brick toast was at Up2You Café and it’s pretty similar in taste, which is good. The only thing was, it came with fruity marshmallows which I guess decorated the plate but felt it was a waste since I didn’t order nor eat it. I came with a friend and we just finished a stressful day at work so it was nice to have dessert and talk at a place like this. Never have I been asked any other time I’ve ever been here if everything was okay or if we needed anything until tonight! Yes, a cup of water would be great! Thank you :) That’s awesome customer service right there. There are board games if you want to play. The menu selection has grown and features more than just drinks. Snacks and desserts are available as well as coffee and tea. It’s a pretty cozy and chill place, the only thing is that they don’t have a restroom and the parking is limited. There is a lot of competition with dessert places and Boba places in Southern California but If you want to avoid a big crowd and want a place to hangout with to catch up with your friend in National City, then you should come here :)

Best bubble tea I’ve ever had. My family lives 15 minutes North, but we drive down just for this. The menu has so many options, but it’s not to a point where it’s too overwhelming. I haven’t had a chance to try their food yet because the bubble tea usually fills me up. You can’t go wrong with any of their flavors.

They have really stepped up their game! They have mochi, macarons, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. I went yesterday night, and just went right now for more. Their staff is also friendly and fast. I can’t wait to go back for more.

I love lollicup, but I had to take away one star due to there ticket times. 2 drinks and a simple brick toast had us waiting for a total of 30mins. Like really? Everytime I come in its always the wait. Even if there’s nobody there or the line is out the door. I have always had to wait the same time. 4 people in the back yet it takes so long.

Great place, friendly staff. Went in for a hibiscus green tea with boba and veggie egg rolls, and they sent me off with an extra watermelon slush of some kind that they said they were testing out. It was pretty tasty, kind of like a frozen watermelon Italian cream soda. Love all their options, definitely my favorite place in SD for boba tea

Came here for the mochi ice cream which is apparently shipped from the famous Bubbies’s in Hawaii which is well known for their handmade mochi ice cream. It’s $ 2 for one– a pretty decent size and the ice cream is extremely rich and creamy. I got: guava, blueberry, pistachio, and Sakura. I loved all of them except the Sakura sort of just tasted like vanilla in my opinion. Also got their green tea ice cream specialty drink which was pretty good but the mochi was definitely the highlight of my trip here. Customer service is also excellent! I believe it was the manager, but he always had a smile on his face and made sure every customer was enjoying their stay and if they needed anything or not. Would definitely stop by here again if I’m ever in the area, thanks again SD Boba Tea House(Lollicup)!

Love their Oreo slush here better than tap ex. They also have this card where u buy 6 drinks and get the 7th free! Also don’t forget to use the 10% discount they give here on Unilocal

Came in just wanting a drink. But they totally upgraded their food selection! They have macarons and mochi ice cream.(Totally recommend the taro macaron and Ferrero rocher.) They actually messed up on my order today by forgetting a, but I give them mad props for being really nice and fixing it right away. They’ve seem to not only upgrade their tasty food but also their awesome staff! For sure will come back again! 5 stars for food, 6 for the friendly people!

I usually go to Tapex because it’s closer, but I occasionally come here. When I walked in, I saw that they had mochi ice cream and macarons now! They had lots of different flavors, and they were $ 2 a piece! I think that’s pretty cheap compared to the rest of places. I usually get the oreo slush or the honeydew snow. Their brick toast is pretty good too! I think the toppings are a little pricey though.

Haven’t been here in forever ! But I definitely love this place. Small little spot, bumping music. Variety of food. Just got offered free samples. They upgraded and have macarons and mochi ice cream. I’m sorry I ever left.

came in for a royal milk tea with tapioca. It’s been over a decade since I’ve been to a Lollicup! This location is tucked in the corner next to a beauty salon I believe. I asked for regular but I think I got the large size by accident? I didn’t realize until I left. Anyway, tapioca is inconsistently chewy, but no big deal, there’s sweetness. The milk tea is just right in sweetness. I didn’t ask for a reduction, but then again I don’t know if they have that as an option. Service was quick, I was in and out in about 5 minutes. 10% check in offer! They take credit/cash.

Ordered their new item which was bubbies mochi ice cream & it was just like the one I got while I was in Hawaii. Great customer service, one of the workers forgot to give us our mochi & I think it was the owner who apologized about the wait & gave us a free one. Their variety of drinks & food are on point.

I used to be a huge fan of this place but I’m sadden to say… Not anymore :( Came here today after deciding to give it another chance after being really disappointed last time. I ordered an iced coffee with boba. I was not satisfied with my order :(my coffee was not iced! Haha The people that ordered behind me ordered about 6 items including a 4 chamoy fruit cups(I believe that takes longer to make than a coffee???) And their order came out before mine. That and the no ice on my iced boba coffee made my experience here very poor. I could of gone back and ask for ice but honestly I just walked away. Didn’t have the time to wait in line. I gave this place another chance but unfortunately I will not come back to this place again.

This is my go to place every time i crave for thai tea with boba. They have a wide variety of drinks here and some finger foods also. I have not tried any of the food or desserts yet but i think the taste is ok(maybe next time i’ll try them) The ambiance is relaxed although they don’t have wifi they have this pc that customers could use, they also have tv and some comfy looking seats. This location is good to hang out with friends and family but it’s located somewhat hidden in a restaurant strip. Parking can be terrible especially during lunch and dinner times.

From the reviews, I expected a lot more from this place. Living in Irvine for 5 years, I loved the lollicup there. I was hoping to have the same experience here, but was disappointed. The jasmine milk tea wasn’t very good and the boba can only be described as the kind of boba you get when you put a boba drink in the fridge and the texture of it gets weird(soft and hard at the same time). Trying to get the boba up the straw was extremely difficult as well because of this. The fries and wings were good, but if you’re going to eat there, I would suggest not to unless you’ve brought hand wipes because there is no restroom or wipes to clean your hands off with. I’d probably go back for the food(to-go) or try other drinks without the boba next time. Lastly, service was as good as it can get with only one cashier/cash register.

I came here a week to go to get some boba because I was craving it and tapioca express tends to have a long line. I got the avocado smoothie with boba and I must say it was pretty good. My boyfriend got the taro smoothie and it was not as good. I suppose it was too powdery… I’ll have to come back to try another drink! It seems they have a few options of foods here! Def got to try. When we came in we weren’t greeted and it seemed really slow and the worker seemed tired. Maybe we just caught her on a bad day?

Oh Lollicup! why do you have to have chamango and strawmango(is that what it’s called strawberry+chamoy?) oh well. I will make up my own drink names now. Anyway, one sip of that bad boy and ohh pucker up city! It was tarty yet sweet and every time I took a good gulp I can feel the tingle of spices down my throat. The one thing I was disappointed in was their calamari. yes I am spoiled by other boba shop calamari so I do admit I am biased. It was crispy but the seasoning was just to peppery for me. Something that was in the mix gave it a weird aftertaste for me. It could of been the mix of that and the strawmango confusing my tastebuds.

My experience with this place. 1. Found out that the manager of this place is my sisters friend and client. 2. Quality is amazing. So oooo gooooooddd. 3. Customer service is great. 4. I got me a honeydew boba. Number 1 to get when you are a beginner in the boba world. Overall, great experience and quality of food and boba here. I have been going here a while now just never had a chance to rate or review it. Now that I have my Unilocal account, I’ve been going nuts lol.

First boba place that really ever opened in SD before Tapex. Over the years they’ve gradually added more snacks and drink items to the menu. Board games are also available to play. Go to’s are the honeydew, almond, or Thai tea slush.

Came here to try out the chamangos. My chamango was good, but I think I’m going to do some chamango shopping around the South Bay before I settle on this Lollicup. The one thing that I didn’t like is that I asked for a diablito straw(straw with tamarindo) and it was only after I left that I realized the straw was only half a straw? Literally, it was maybe a couple centimeters longer than my index finger. I’ve never had a diablito straw that short before and was sorely disappointed. That right there made me want to venture out and seek what else the South Bay has to offer in terms of chamangos. What I liked about Lollicup more than Tapioca Express is that Lollicup seemed to have a vast option of food. Lollicup does have a solid 4-stars, so I think I will be back to try out some of the food. Did I get unlucky with a short diablito straw or is that the norm here? Please let me know! I’m scarred from getting another diablito straw in fear that it won’t live up to my expectations. Haha. But seriously, please let me know. :)

I feel as if I have endless amounts of photos from this place, but I’ll only post one considering I get the same drink every single time – Thai tea slush with boba. This is probably my favorite boba spot. Tapioca Express is also a great place, but Lollicup is a place I’ve been going to for a very long time. The people who own this restaurant are very sweet. They’re all elderly Filipino workers, but every so often a younger person works and gives me an attitude. I don’t mind it, though, because I know the owners are kind. Their service is pretty quick, and their prices are cheaper than other boba places. I also appreciate the 10% off«coupon» when you check-in here. This Lollicup is in the same plaza as one of my favorite restaurants, Ginza Sushi, and I always take my drink inside as I eat lunch/dinner.(The reason as to why there are images of sushi in the background of my boba drink picture…) Although it’s not in the«nicest» area and the parking lot is a little tight, I love going here. Recently, for months or so now, they’ve been selling chamangos, dessert, and snacks. I have yet to try any of them. Lastly, within this establishment, there’s a TV, area to place chess and other games, computers(I believe, for games) and couches… Along with the table seating.
