European spa and gel manicure were amazing!!! Totally worth the $ 65 I spent on both!!! Now waiting for my eyelash extensions

I mean, the one upside to this place is how convenient the location is. It’s in the mall if you need to shop and pick up a few things or grab a bite to eat after getting your nails done.
I have been here once for a pedicure and just recently for a manicure. Of course they try to get you to do both, but that’s typical. The service is kind of meh but I don’t have any real complaints. I got a regular manicure and my nails look good for the most part but I do see a couple flaws (albeit less obvious ones). Some workers are friendly and others just want to get their job done. The price was $ 13 and I guess they charge you the same regardless of whether you get your nails painted or not, since my friend just opted for the manicure and no paint. That doesn’t seem right to me, but it is what it is. They don’t use a nail dryer for regular manicure either, just a quick dry top coat and the lamp at the table.
Overall it can get busy here given the location so this has an adverse affect on the service offered. The gal did mine pretty quickly. If you’re in a rush or just need to come here for the convenience of it then it’s not the worst place to get your nails did.

Absolutely HORRIBLE and NEVER again!!! Long time ago I had an okay facial done here. I was desperate, needed a facial asap, and so I remembered the place. The lady took me to the room…15 minutes later came back and started. She didn’t even inspect my face under the bright light to consult, as they should do. She simply stared to give me like 4 masks and a small 10 minute massage in 60 minutes (75 minutes including the waiting time in the little room with cobwebs all over lamps). She never explained what she was doing or what the product was for. She smelled like she had just been in a closed up kitchen frying food, and that was ALL in my face. It was not professional at all!!! I paid $ 75 and tipped after that like the idiot that I am. And that is why I am writing this review. I will never go that that horrible place again!!!

I hate this place so much. This was my second time there only out of desperation because it’s in the mall right next to where my husband gets his haircut. I regretted it as soon as the man didn’t understand what is meant by a gel French manicure on my nails. They don’t comprehend nor communicate well, the service sucks and their work Is basic. idc how desperate, never again!!!

One star is definitely not deserved here… My 10 y/​o daughter and I were seated in the spa chairs getting mani/​pedis when she asked to use the restroom.
My daughter was patiently waiting when Tina handed her a towel then told her to scrub the toilet and floor. My daughter obliged her horrible demand because she does not sass her elders.
After we left the nail shop my ten year old told me about the incident through many tears. We walked back into the the shop and she pointed Tina out to me.
Tina accused my innocent ten year old daughter of lying and proceeded to say she was weird. I was not very happy with her response so I demanded a full refund and I wanted to file a complaint with security.
I got a full refund a filed a formal complaint with the Plaza Bonita Admin office. DO NOT obtain any services from this horrible establishment!

This is my first time here, I walked in to an empty salon (only one other customer for pedicure) it’s early so I figured that’s ok. The lady tells me to sit down she turns on the water and says put your feet in. I asked if she was going to put soap or disinfectant in (she doesn’t speak English) so asks the lady behind her who I guess is the manager. She comes over and says we keep it clean you ok, she will do it later. I persistently ask her to it before I put my feet in the water. Hesitant to stay I do, the non English speaking lady puts the disinfectant in speaking whatever language to the manager (sounded as if she was upset). 10 minutes in, I think I see a fly on the arm rest, WRONG!!! It’s a baby roach. I’m praying it will crawl away and it does. I will never come back here.

This is my go to place when I want someone to cut out my painful ingrowns. I ask them to go to town on my feet and they do exactly that! I’ve gone to many nail spas that are too afraid to hurt me and I end up having to finish the job once I get home. Completely defeats the purpose on why I went to begin with. I have no complaints when it comes to the awesome pedicures they give here. They be sweating and huffing and puffing and I’m like yeah, get in there! I always spend around $ 68 because I also get gel manicures and lip wax. I love that I can show them a picture of some nails on pinterest and they’re able to replicate it without hesitation.

I just went in today (Friday) and they took me in right away. What I admired was Terry’s patience with me. I had to take my 11 month old baby and at first he was good but after a while he became restless and she was so nice about it. She allowed me to take breaks as needed and even gave him a few things to play with. After we were almost done I ended messing up my nails from holding my kid and she happily fixed them. I truly appreciated everything and my nails came out great. They have a lot of colors to choose from and they do great nail work. I’ll be going back. :)

I was highly skeptical about this place because of the bad reviews. But I’m glad I didn’t listen!!! This place is awesome! Mimi was amazing! She toke her time, I didn’t feel rushed, or felt pressure to get something I didn’t want. As I was walking in an employee was walking out but returned and greeted me. She asked what I wanted to get done. I let her know I just wanted a pedicure. She then got a spa chair ready ASAP, I didn’t even wait 5 minutes! I think I got there just in time because after 15 mins the spa pedicure chairs where filled. Now on to the pedicure. I got the European pedicure, it’s $ 43 with tax. But let me tell you it was worth it! My feet are baby smooth. It lasted for 1 Hr and a half. I’m not sure if that is the time it takes for the European pedicure but like I said she toke her time. Defiently a returning customer! Found my new nail place.

I absolutely love this place! I have been coming here for the past 3yrs. It’s super clean, they do a wonderful job and everyone is super nice. I feel very welcomed every time I walk in. I recommend this place to all my friends all the time. I have yet to find a place that does nearly as good a job as l.a. nails.

Thuy bui worked on my nails. I showed her a camo design I liked, she told me to pick the colors out and got to work!
We talked a lil. I don’t like to really talk too much while getting my nails done but that is just me.
She told me don’t worry when I heard a young teenager picking on every little detail on her nails (poor nail lady behind her looked distraught. The kid was a pain)
Was pretty diligent and fast. My nails came out pretty good even she took a picture of my nails for future references. Since I told her san diego has a lot of military family and wives that would want the design similar to mine.
She gave me a *deal and I tipped her good in return

I go to L.A. Nails here and there. I have always been happy. I have brought friends and family here as well and for the most part they have been happy. The reason I’m now writing a Review and a 5 star one is because of one of their employees Kathy (I hope I have the right spelling). I have had her before and others I know have had her. Every time, no fail she has done a great job. This last time, couple of weeks ago Kathy did a pedicure for me. The massage chair was great, Kathy really took her time and made my feet not only look great but also I felt 10 pounds lighter. I never have cash on me and they only get tipped out with cash (for some reason you can’t add it to your card) and when I told her that, she said «that’s okay, really, don’t worry about it.» She was so great, that I knew I had to make it right and bring her, her tip. Which I did a few days later. If you have the time to wait and have Kathy, that’s what I would do. You won’t go wrong. She is a professional and worth the wait.

I love this nail salon! Anytime I need a mani pedi, this is my go to place!
All of the girls are pretty good at their trade. I usually get a gel manicure (shellac) which last me about a month! The color doesn’t fade and my nails never chip!
This is also one of my favorite places to get a spa pedicure. They do such a great job and my feet always feel 10 lbs lighter after a pedicure job. I usually bring my own polish because I have good colors at home that I would rather use.
I gave it 4 stars only because it is a little pricier than other salons but then again, you get what you pay for.

It was my first time getting my eyebrows and nails in this place. My experience here is horrible.
It seemed like the lady that did my eyebrows didn’t even know what she was doing. Now I have an uneven eyebrows.
While the lady that did my nails was rushing. She didn’t clean my nails properly and have my nails coated unevenly. I wish I could’ve just done them myself maybe I’ve had atleast my right fingers done properly.
I pretty much just wasted my money and I’m not happy about it.
Some of the staffs were friendly and that’s just the only thing that pretty give this place a star from me.

Used to come here when it first opened. I always got my eye brows/​upper lip/​armpits/​bikini waxes over here, because I used to work at the food court that was right across from them. However, I stopped coming because I always felt like I was being tricked. Whenever I paid, the prices always varied from what was listed in the paper. Also, I got a facial here with my friend on her birthday and the estethician gave me an allergic reaction! My face was super red & it hurt afterwards. Not cool, since we were going to a concert that night! The lady gave us free manicures, but the nail polish chipped off really quick :(my nails weren’t even dried yet and she was already telling me to leave. Haven’t gone here since then.

I’ve been going here for about 4 years now I like them they treat me well since I’m a loyal customer. I love the owner and staff none of that jobberish talk here at least not when I’m here. It’s my go to place. I usually try to go once a month for my pedicures.

I only went to LA (at Parkway Plaza Mall) because it’s nearby my house. This place is nice from the windows. They all won’t take their eyes off you. Most of the pedi chair don’t work. They cost way way too much and they don’t do a good job. They cut my nail way to short and don’t bother getting a pedi this place! you will guaranteed a nail INFECTION. They cut my toe nail and file with machines like a meat market would. JENNY is manager there I believe. She’s rude. She blamed me for the bleeding she caused. Saying that my nails and skin were too close! Really !! By the way, they hardly speak English (which doesn’t bother me, till they look at you and all start laughing. These are ridiculous. I never ever go back there again. Please everyone check in Unilocal to see all reviewers.
I highly suggest you move on and find another salon. One more time I want to say is «horrible job and overcharged «.giving you Only 1 star is nice of me.

So earlier this evening I wanted to go to the place where I usually get my underarms done. Unfortunately, I was stuck at Plaza Bonita for other errands. I was also on a time crunch since it was my birthday weekend and my husband had plans for us the next day.
They’re located downstairs, right near Target and across from the play area. The shop seemed small from the outside, but it’s pretty spacious once you step in. I looked at the prices and for an underarm wax it was $ 16 for both. I pay $ 3 less from where I usually go. I guess it’s because it’s inside the mall, you’ll have to expect to spend a little more.
The shop once again was spacious, seemed tidy and they were pretty busy. I was helped out right away. I was expecting to lay on a regular spa chair, but they took me to the back. I was kind of skeptical to where we were heading, but they have their own room for waxes. I believe I remember they also do Brazilian waxes, so that serves the purpose for the separate room.
I laid out on the massage bed and she began to wax my underarms. It took no longer than ten minutes, including the preparation. The room was all white, small, and felt contained. We made small chat and then she was finished. The process was okay, but I do like it better at the shop I go to.
I rate the shop three stars for the all white contained room and the price I paid. But then again expect prices to be high at the mall.

I, being lazy and not wanting to drive to my normal eye brow lady off E. Palomar, decided take a chance without reading Unilocal reviews (dummie move) on this place and get my brows done. Empty… old asian ladies… not a good sign!
Alas, the risk taker that I am proceeded with little caution! Seated in what I’m sure was a dingy chair that hadn’t been washed in years, layed my poor little afro on the head rest and looked up to see a huge ROACH crawling up the wall. Did I bail… no! Why, cause im an idiot thats why!!! Note… I was assured by the lady no threading would be apart of this already horrid experience (i HATE threading! like HATE)
After 10 min of old lady smelly hands smearing all over my face, this trick pulls out the dreaded THREAD that she assured me would NOT be in the equatition! WTF? I was done!!! after she hands me the mirror, and to my total lack of suprise, my brows look 10 times WORSE then they did when I was done. and to add insult to injury, had the NERVE to charge FIFTEEN DOLLARS!!! the lady off Palomar charges $ 6 and shes a milli times better!!!
BEWARE! If you want to go to a bug infested, no english understanding, overpriced eyebrow HACKER nail spot… then go for it, have fun, tip well *rolls eyes*

Ugh. Ripped off! I had been DYING for a pedicure. Then this.
Anyway, two friends and I went to go get our girl on. Eyebrow waxes and Pedicures. Simple, right? Wrong. Wronger than I had ever thought.
The dude who did my toes ended up over trimming and filing, so both of my pinky toes were bleeding AND they still had on the color I came in with. «Obviously we must use more nail polish remover on open wounds I just caused!» After almost kicking him in the face from his weak scrub and hold skills — Asians, you should KNOW how to do this without having a proper NON PAINFUL DEATH GRIP! We’re ticklish! — I asked for someone else to finish. After my friends have already been finished with their services, I ask when my brows are going to get waxed. Ten minutes later the girl comes around and asks me a third time if I want it. Should I not? In short, she had bad breath and burned in between my eye brows. My toes look terrible cause I obviously freaked when this happened and BOOM! Nobody would take the time to fix it.
Then, what really made me give them a 2 star…
All four girls (the one who did my toes, and the two who did the other’s toes, and my eyebrow lady) come at me and say «Well your friend paid with a credit card and we won’t get those tips cause our boss takes it!» and continued on badmouthing their boss. I told them to shut up — literally — that I have cash and they will be taken care of.
I’m finally done. I tip every girl in there $ 8 – 9. Come to find out they were ALL already tipped $ 15 each. Are you kidding me? Ya’ll didn’t even do a good job and you burnt my freaking face. Our final tab for 2 EB Waxes and 3 pedicures = Supposed to be around $ 110 per their prices. We payed $ 180. PLUS Tips. PLUS my extra tips. Ugh. Ripped off!
I’ll be doing my own nails and eyebrows from here on out.
