Around national city there are plenty of fruiterias. I really wanted this place to be good but the two items I got were just ok. The acai bowl I received was very watery and in a small cup. Pictures on this page make it look much better than it was. The chamango was better than the acai bowl but definitely not worth 6 dollars. Near the bottom the drink became super sour and undrinkable. Señor mangos still wins in my book for acai bowls around the area and I still have to find a reliable chamango stop in the area.

So good! We were in San Diego 4 days and came here twice. Very fresh, and delicious! Fruit salad, fresas con crema, acai bowl, all highly recommend. Even the croissant breakfast sandwich was delicious.

Definetly my new spot! It’s a small shop and do not have the plentiful snack choices like other fruterias have. They have a few tables with chairs inside but no outside seating which is a shame. It’s located off the 5 freeway heading east bound on 8th street, looks for the color flags on top of the building. Plenty of parking on all side and across the buisness. All in all, I’ll definetly be coming here again.

It’s an unassuming store front, but the friendly proprietors and delicious food have kept me coming back several times over the last few weeks. It’s not the cleanest dining area or most visually appealing place, but the food is delicious and inexpensive, and you’re always met with a smiling face. I’ve been a fan so far of the chipotle tuna sandwich and cheap acai bowls(not the best in the city, but great for the price). The Tostada Ceviche is kind of a chips on steroids with shrimp, jicama, hot sauce, cucumber, and seasonings. If you don’t leave full, you’re doing it wrong.

Walked in. Place was clean and the girls were very nice and sweet. Had a hard time picking a drink and they were helpful. Also told me if I didn’t like a certain drink, they would make me a different one. I thought that was nice of them. The drink was great and the sandwich was awesome. I had a roasted chicken. Great experience and good customer service.

I come here for one reason and one reason only. Churros. I am a huge churro fan. They did not fail to deliver. For only $ 1 a churro, you get a dessert masterpiece. There is a very satisfying feeling that makes you feel all warm inside. This will forever be my go to spot for churros.

Small place for a small wallet, healthy options are plenty. This mexican style juice and salad spot has an extensive menu. From healthy salads, wraps, sandwiches and tortas to very unhealthy flan, tostilocos, etc. Prices are super cheap and teñhe portions are huge. I stick to the healthier side. Chicken wrap enough for 2 meals and I’m 5’11165lbs. If you get medium sized fruit salad it’s also good for 2 – 3 meals for only 6.50. Free parking, .50 cent charge for credit card use.

Best place in the city for sandwiches and fruit salads. I come here at least once a week and I’m always satisfied. Their food is so good and their prices are so low.

Stopped by bc I was getting haaaangry after a long day of errand running. Food: Yummy! Everything tastes pretty fresh. Price: Can’t be beat! Torta for $ 5(big enough to feed 2) and large 20oz juice for $ 4. Unilocal check in for $ 2 off and you really can’t go wrong. Also a free shot of wheatgrass! Vibe: Very«authentico» lots of things that make you truly feel like you’re in Mexico in the South Bay. Service: The woman working the register was very sweet and was patient with my broken Spanish Definitely would recommend and come again.

I live in El cajon but I come down here maybe twice a month. I have mixed feelings about this place. I like that its a family owned business. The lomo torta is freaking awesome! although they are a bit skimpy on the guacamole slices other than that no complaints. Here’s the downer the horchata is never good! I don’t understand how you can go wrong with horchata. It’s fairly simple. Rice, cinnamon, vanilla, a bit of sugar and milk. Yet it always lacks something i mentioned above. Ughhh I’ve given plenty of chances hoping to get a good horchata from this place but no they just have no idea how to make it. Oh and i wish they’d put the prices on their candies. I always get charged different $ when i go buy the same candies …

I was looking for juice in National City so I searched Unilocal and found this place… so glad I did! The staff was very friendly and even gave me a sample of their new delicious mango water upon arrival. I used my Unilocal discount that I found on their profile and got $ 2 off of my order. The prices even without the coupon were amazing. You get a lot for gift money here. The only thing I could critique here is that the menu is very erratic and difficult to understand especially if you do not speak Spanish. Perhaps working with someone to create a more user-friendly menu would really benefit. I might have ordered more but I didn’t understand what some of the things even meant. I sent one of my friends to come try it too and she loved it but had the same opinion. There was a little girl in there too who told me she was the daughter of one of the employees and she was so sweet to talk to while I was waiting. I had a great experience and will be back for more amazingly fresh juice.

Me and my wifey are food critics. I have never truly appreciated a fruit smoothie until I tried one here today. Now I have a reason to drive down to San Diego. Freshness, a light sweetness, a tickling of good flavor; the group I was with left this place sad… sad that we had to leave such a fantastic discovery of flavor. To leave a place truly satisfied but with a longing to come back the highest compliment I can give. Great job!!! We love you!!!

Had a craving for churro and costco was closed. This was the only place near where I was that sells churros. Its only $ 1 for one, and they fry it when you order it. It was very warm :) crispy on the outside and had a juicy filling inside. Parking lot is pretty ghetto. I will come back and try other things on the menu, looked so good! Plus, the employees were sweet :)
