David Rhee started Rhee + Company in 2001 to offer tax and financial advice to businesses and individuals seeking a more personalized, one-​on-​one, customized experience. David’s deep background in business, technology, accounting and financial planning gives him unique insights into the financial issues businesses, families and individuals face.

To the firm’s leadership, David brings decades of in-​depth tax and financial expertise and experience in a broad range of industries including technology, construction, healthcare, and retail. Prior to founding Rhee + Company, he helped private technology companies successfully develop new markets and strategic alliances between the U.S. and Asia.

Meet the Business Owner

David R.

Business Owner

David is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner™. He earned a B.S. in Engineering from University of California at Berkeley, and both S.M. and PhD degrees in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) at Cambridge. He also holds a M.S. in Management from Bridgewater State College.

David is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the MIT Alumni Association and the UC Berkeley Engineering Alumni Association. As a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner professional and an Enrolled Agent, David is authorized to represent clients on all tax matters before the Internal Revenue Service. He is also a holder of Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.

Married with two children — a high school-​aged son and a college-​aged daughter — David is involved with several community initiatives. His favorite activities are spending time with his family and their beloved three dogs: Presley, Marcus and Bella.
