Avalon Natick

I lived here for 5 months after selling my house.
It was a positive experience from move-​in to move-​out day!
The staff is excellent. If you need something done, they are on it in a flash. Everyone in the leasing office is friendly and helpful as is the maintenance staff.
They all went way beyond my expectations!
I even miss them!

Poor customer service, interrogated by staff. I visited my friend at the complex and requested a visitor’s parking pass. Rather than being greeted, a woman who appeared to be the office manager (female, Caucasian, short stature, dark brunette hair, 40’s) just starred at me until I approached her. Upon asking for a visitor’s pass, she made me feel like I was being interrogated, by posing a myriad of questions that I felt were extensive and invasive. She even had the audacity to ask if I was living with my friend! How rude. My friend has moved into several Avalon apartments across the country, and I am traditionally impressed with the property and the service. This representative missed an opportunity to welcome me to the complex and possibly encourage me to consider moving into a sister property. So, do all visitors, or just the ethnic visitors receive the same negative, 3^rd degree treatment?

Living at Avalon Natick has been a phenomenal experience. It has been 4 months since we moved here and everything runs so seamlessly – much like an upscale hotel. From the start, Angelina Casiello and Dawn Murphy (who work in the leasing office) welcomed us into this community. Customer Service is first-​rate Our apartment is a haven. Everything from the stainless steel kitchen appliances to the light fixtures to the oversized windows feels luxurious. Over the summer most nights we grilled at the barbecue area and dined outside overlooking the beautifully lit swimming pool. The state-​of-​the-​art fitness center is top-​notch and I’m thrilled we utilize it 4 – 5 times a week. The grounds are perfectly manicured and maintained with flowers and greenery reflecting the seasons. The interior of the building is also very impressive and well maintained. In the short time we’ve lived here, a window company has come to wash our windows. The carpets in the common areas have been shampooed. The tile in the lobby has been professionally cleaned. With winter upon us, it’s a relief knowing we have a parking garage to protect our cars from the elements. If I sound like a woman who is thrilled about the choice we made to move here, I am!

Have stayed here for 2+ years and really enjoyed my stay until I had to relocate to a different city. Very good staff with excellent customer service.

Avalon tries to weasle every penny they can out of their residents, while at the same time not having the common courtesy to address customer service issues in a timely manner. To name a few of these as an example:
–Our parking garage elevators were out for an unacceptable amount of time during this past winter.
–charging a pet fee that should have included at least a few paved areas this winter for pets to be able to even go to the bathroom would have been great.
–not addressing my complaints of ridiculously loud neighbors at 3am (this was consistent and on-​going) and the smell of them smoking coming into our apt.
–Lying about having a saltwater pool… don’t promise something before we sign a lease and then un-​promise it later. I have a thyroid condition in which I cannot swim in chlorinated pools, and I did address this situation with customer service in which I received not even a return email or phone call for.
–telling tenants that elevators within the building have expired permits so basically use at our own risk until the issue is taken care of? This is NOT our problem… if our rent was late we paid the fines… but yet it is ok to not be on top of issues such as this from your end?
–cold unfriendly staff working in the Natick office. They were nice before we signed our lease, but not so friendly once that lease was signed. They pretty much acted like they didn’t know us… and I heard this complaint among many other residents as well.
–We considered staying longer when our lease was up but wanted to move apartments since the smoking neighbor had not been addressed… they wanted to charge us a $ 500 fee to move apts plus raise our rent and pet rent… I can understand demand but they didn’t have anyone lined up to move into our place right when we moved out and really gave us no incentive to stay at all.
As for move out wear and tear… I asked the person inspecting our place and re-​confirmed with him that i would not need to patch up and little holes in the walls from pictures etc. becasue he said when they go through to do paint touch ups they would just quickly patch them. No mention that we were paying from our end for the touch ups that you SHOULD be doing to get ready for a new tenant to move in. I also left the place immaculate as far as cleaning so not sure why we were charged for additional cleaning fees… unless you wanted something cleaned differently than how I cleaned it?
Either way, we were not impressed with Avalon (although our apartment was new and looked pretty) and if asked by others how we would rate living in an Avalon community… well basically I would just tell them I would not live in one again if this is the kind of stuff we have to deal with.

I have lived at Avalon Natick for over a year now. Love my 1 bedroom apartment, which is very spacious and the amenities available are wonderful. The grill/​patio area is a nice place to cook and eat outside in the summer. The pool is beautiful and very clean. The fact that it is pet friendly is a huge plus and they have built a dog park on the property. Nice way for dog owners to meet while their dogs play. The staff is awesome and the buildings are well maintained. Every morning the lobby is washed and cleaned. Too bad some tenants don’t clean up after themselves, which is my only complaint and not Avalon’s fault. Some people are just sloppy and discourteous.

I have lived at Avalon Natick for a year now and absolutely love it! I started living with roommates in a two bedroom place and have recently moved into a studio and both apartments are amazing! The amenities are new and modern. I live on the 10^th floor, which has the upgraded stainless steel kitchen appliances and granite countertops. (8^th floor and higher has these upgrades, which is worth it!) I found these apartments to be larger than others I was looking at around the area. Even my studio feels large and comes with a walk in closet. The only downfall is the washer and dryer in the studio is stackable and small. This is for them to save space which is understandable. However, my last apartment (two bedroom) had a new full size washer and dryer, which I have no complaints on.
A quiet apartment is HUGE for me and this place delivers! I go to bed extremely early and love to sleep in on the weekends. I hate when you can hear people in the halls or above you, but I have never had a problem. I can’t hear my neighbors at all.
The grounds are amazing and constantly kept up. Many people living here have dogs however they clean up after them– plus I love dogs! I love the grilling area/​outside fireplace. It has a comfy welcoming feel. The pool is also great and kept clean. The gym is always clean and kept at a cool temperature. Personally I wish there was a stair stepper but that’s just me being picky.
People living here are so nice and happy. I sometimes find that hard to find in Massachusetts.
I love being so close to the mall, restaurants, movie theater, and a grocery store. I feel the location is amazing and can always find what I am looking for in this area.
Last but not least is the staff. The leasing office has a great team. I’ve worked with Angelina multiple times and I can always count on her. She addresses any concerns I have, returns my emails and phone calls in a timely fashion. Dawn and Courtney have also been extremely helpful! The maintenance team here is also awesome! They always go out of their way to say hi and be friendly. Any ticket I put in for was resolved usually within the same day. I also wasn’t a fan of the water pressure and they switched out my shower head right away. It’s extremely important to know you can count on them with any fixes you need to your apartment.
I cant say greater things about this place and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing home!

I love my apartment complex the staff are super friendly. They are quick with repairs. And you can do everything online pay your bills, make repair request which is great. Fully equipped gym. A really great place to call home.
