History

Established in 1985.

William C. Johnson Architect was formed in 1985. Since that time, Bill has designed everything from churches to cookie stores; private residences to restaurants; and bathrooms to horse barns. His work has been featured in news articles and industry publications. In 2011, WCJA received the Historic Commission Preservation Award for design of a custom residence in Nashville, TN.

In addition to his duties at WCJA, Bill taught for several years at O’More School of Design in Franklin, Tennessee.

Business Owner

Bill is a licensed architect, currently registered to practice architecture in several states. He is a member of NCARB and the US Green Building Council. He worked with architectural firms in New York, Knoxville and Nashville, TN prior to forming WCJA.

Bill performed his Internship on Long Island, New York gaining experience designing custom homes, multi-​family developments and vacation houses.
