The Dog Spot – East Nashville

This is an awesome place. They are very kind and caring as well as very professional. Lexus loves this place! They go above and beyond!!!

We love the groomers here, that are very loving to our small dogs and we appreciate the gentle nature.

Benefit of the doubt 4 stars– will re review later.. .. depending on next dog wash experience. This place is really close to my home and really convenient. Every time I stop by the employees are super helpful and friendly. They carry all the products I need and they also give great coupons (in mail) when you sign up! And they have free DIY dog washing that you can use their facility for– GREAT IDEA!
However– I brought my dog there for a cut and bath about a month ago and when he came back to me his eyes were SUPER bloodshot. His cut was fine and his nails were trimmed– so I got what I paid for– but I did not pay for his eyes to be bloodshot. The washer seemed concerned and said it can happen it they get water in their eyes or get over stimulated — which has never happened before– Bear is 8.
I will try this place out one more time for a bath and cut– it may have just been a fluke– but if it happens again I will not be back for a washing– which is unfortunate because they are so convenient.

Love them! They take good care of your pups — both boarding and day care. And their grooming is wonderful. My little Mildred (shih tzu/​terrier/​mutt) comes home looking and smelling delightful. My older dog (border collie/​lab/​mutt) is very timid and prefers to be with smaller dogs, and they keep a very good eye on him to make sure he doesn’t get overwhelmed. They just do a great job!

Great store, great selection, clean aisles, no weird smells, and super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. A wide selection of dog food, even large bags, and at prices competitive with the big box stores. Support a local business and shop here, instead of cross town forever away. Save time and shop local, for the same price as bigbox + gas.

I had a wonderful experience with their dog grooming service! Everyone that works there is very polite and took time to answer all my questions. My dog has eye and skin issues so I had lots of specific instructions, all of which were honored. This is my favorite groomer that I have found in Nashville.

If you need to board your pets, this is the place! Seriously, don’t even check out any other places! I have never boarded any of my pets before, and I was hesitant to try. But I was in a bind and needed someone to take them immediately. The staff was freindly and easy going. On the day I was to pick them up, I had a conflict and needed my fur babies to stay an extra day. No problem they said. We went to pick them up the next day and my doggies didn’t want to leave!!! They had a blast! I will be using The Dog Spot again and recommending them to everyone. You should do the same!

For people who don’t have children all we have is our dog and cat. I hate to be one of those dog people who love their dog a little to much but when you don’t have children that is all you got.
We had been taking our dog to the Dog Spot in East Nashville a little over a year now. Everything was fine until this month. The main reason we took him was because we didn’t want him to be lonely inside the house for 8 hours. One day while looking at the cameras we saw that our dog was inside. We take him to daycare so he can play outside with other dogs. If we wanted him to stay inside for 6+ hours we would have kept him at home. When we called to see why he was inside they explained to us that there was dust outside and that they would let the dogs out in an hour. Well after 4 hours the dogs were still inside. Worried that my dog has yet to use the bathroom since he’s been inside I went to go pick him up. She explained to me that our dog was banned from the turf area since he dug in it. When asked why he wasn’t outside in the concrete area she didn’t give me an explanation.
When my husband talked to the owner Chad he seemed to belittle my husband and basically said that our dog was no longer welcomed there. The owner was so rude to my husband. Like I said, sorry to be «those» dog people but they are all we have.

I have brought my dog to daycare on several occasions and boarded my dog for a night every once in awhile and it was ok. Nothing special. When I would ask about how my dog did, nobody would have a response for me. Not a huge deal, but just a disadvantage compared to other daycare places I’ve been to. I boarded my dog for the first time for more than one night and was very disappointed.
1) didn’t warn me about the «holiday» up charge. Apparently spring break lasts the entirety of March. I actually was unaware that spring break was a holiday. Could have told me when I booked my dogs stay over the phone and/​or when I dropped her off. Instead, I got a nice surprise at checkout.
2) my dog was returned to me wet, dirty, and smelling terribly. Her collar was put on all twisted up. Completely disrespectful. I used to work for a dog boarding/​daycare facility and we would immediately give a free bath if a dog was in that condition. No pet owner should have to spend money due to carelessness of a company.
3) they gave me one of her bags of food back which meant they did not feed her breakfast.
I also really don’t understand the weird hours on Saturday. It’s pretty inconvenient and doesn’t make sense to even take your dog there on that day since they won’t even be playing for the majority of the day anyways.
The only reason I repeated my business with this establishment is because of the location, webcams, and decent pricing when there are no surprise up charges.
I would have complained except I do not want anything from this establishment because I will not be returning.

I cannot say enough amazing things about The Dog Spot and ESPECIALLY Chad, the owner. It has really bummed me out to see people give any bad reviews, especially about him. I say this because he honestly makes me and my dog feel so special every time I board him, and he has gone above and beyond to make my dog happy & healthy. A few examples:
1) A few months after bringing my dog to nashville, he started having all sorts of tummy problems. I was so so so nervous to board him, and I almost cancelled my trip, especially because Milo (my dog) had only been to the dog spot a few times. But chad personally reassured me that Milo would be okay and actually TOOK HIM TO HIS HOUSE so he could keep a better watch on him and make sure he was well. He sent me updates every day, and Milo came back home so happy and cared for.
2) I boarded Milo before the ice storm this year and couldn’t get him myself, even though I wanted him to be picked up. My boyfriend was the only one in town, but he couldn’t get him because he didn’t have access to a car. Well Chad actually drove Milo all the way from East Nashville to my condo in Midtown. I was so so so thankful, and so was my boyfriend. Seriously, who puts that much care into customer service??? Only Chad!!!
I could have used this review to say how amazing The Dog Spot is & how much my dog loves it & how picky I am about where I board him and how this place surpasses all my expectations. But I thought it was more important to say how amazing Chad is, BECAUSE HE IS, and how much he will care for your dog no matter what. He doesn’t deserve any negativity, so don’t let any of the (few) negative reviews scare you away. Chad and The Dog Spot are the best in Nashville BY A MILE and I am so thankful to have them in my life!!!

Brought our two collies in for grooming this week. Super nice folks and the dogs were ready ahead of schedule and looked great. Strongly endorse.

I cannot say enough good about this place. We were traveling through town and had a vehicle issue which required us to find a place for our 4 legged child. These folks worked with ME as I was quite nervous about leaving my dog with strangers. They told me I could check In Via the webcam and could call. My dog stayed a half a day and I did call and check on her during her visit. When I picked her up they even gave me Report card on how she did. Great place guys and thank you so much for working with us.

I LOVE The Dog Spot! For a while there my sweet pups and I were kind of high maintenance with bandages, meds and my crazy work schedule. The staff were always accommodating, thorough and amazingly kind and courteous. I highly recommend The Dog Spot!

My 3 year old Labrador and I both love The Dog Spot! He is always so full of energy so he loves going to daycare and playing with all the other dogs. I like that I can watch him on the webcams and I love that he comes home worn out!
They also take care of giving him baths and doing his nail grinding which is great so I don’t have to deal with grooming my 75lbs baby :)
The staff is always very friendly and their pet supply store a across the street makes buying his food very convenient. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good daycare, boarding, or grooming!

I would never ever go back here after the message the owner just sent me about my previous review. I didn’t give a bad review but apparently he would rather belittle a customer than make sure they come back. The employees just pushed me in for an appt even though they were sold out and if they had known I was in a «huge rush» they would have told me they couldn’t do it. Never once did I say I was in a huge rush. Beware of giving less than 5 stars. You may get a message from Chad B and he will belittle you.

The Dog Spot is the best doggy daycare boarding business I have ever used for my dog. My bichon, Cooper, would get so excited when he realized we were on our way to the dog spot that he would wag his tail and paw at the window.
I was pleased with how clean the facility was consistently and the professionalism of the staff.
Owner, Chad Baker, is a generous, wonderful Nashville resident whose business should be supported.

I feel so safe and confident leaving my doggies at the Dog Spot. Everyone who I have met who works there is friendly and clearly loves dogs. My dogs seem to be happy going and when I pick them up, and they have webcams so you can see what your baby is up to during the day. They let them play in little arenas with dogs of similar size, so they’re not cooped up and they get to socialize. My dogs always come back pooped, which is awesome. I really recommend the Dog Spot if you want safe and affordable daycare or boarding!

This was my first time using the dog spot and I have to say that I am very pleased with the service! My little guy is very shy and it can take him a little while to get used to being around new dogs and new people. The crew at The dog spot understood completely and even let my little guy hang out with them up front until he calmed down and got adjusted to a new place. When I called to check on him they let me «talk» to him which is silly but it did make me feel better. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a doggie daycare or boarding. Chad the owner is very knowledgeable and flexible with the care he provides which is so important when taking care of furry family members.

As you can tell from all of the other reviews, this is such a well-​run place. You can totally see how much the owner, Chad, cares about your little family members and about how you feel when you are away from them. The remote camera is a great option to check in on them during the day, the groomers do a great job, and I think play time/​interaction with the other dogs is so important!
Whether you need a break during the day or a trip away, I think the Dog Spot is the place for your loved one!

Once again, The Dog Spot comes to my rescue. When I needed my three girls boarded overnight a few hours before they closed, Chad told me to bring them on down! I was so relieved and as always, the comfort I feel leaving my babies there is just not something you can get anywhere. My little blind, three-​legged girl gets to hang out up front and the other two get to go play with the others pups. I absolutely love this place! I live in Mount Juliet and can’t wait for the new location to open!
TL;DR: The Dog Spot is where it’s at!

This place is great. Always try to deal with Chad. The rest of the staff I’m not to sure about.
Be sure to pick up your dog or dogs before 1:00 pm if you are boarding or you will be charged for daycare along with your boarding fee which adds up to mucho bucks!
I showed up at 1:45 and was charged for daycare plus my boarding fee.

Used the webcams the first time while I was on a trip last week! Loved seeing my pup run around and have fun!

From the adorable Dalmatian inspired spotted exterior to the modern yet comfy interior, I knew that my pups Chico and Bellini have a new pup hangout.
I called this morning to inquire about getting a nail trim for both ($ 7 each) this afternoon. The friendly owner Chad Baker took my call and let me know that I could come by around noon when his nail specialist would be in.
When my pups and I arrived, Chad gave us a tour of the facility which was quite impressive. The boarding and doggy daycare area were spacious and they are in the process of setting up live pup-​cams so that you can view your pet throughout their visit. I personally appreciate this feature on so many levels. He also showed me the soon-​to-​be opened outdoor play area that will be completely fenced in.
A small merchandise area offers up dog foods and other products.
I even snatched up a fabulous The Dog Spot tee too.
During their nail clipping, the groomer was gentle and doting to both dogs and efficient too. I was so happy with our visit today that I am scheduling a grooming session for both ($ 45-​$ 65 dependent on dog size) which includes cut, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning and anal glands.
This is a great price for the services provided!
You may also purchase service a’ la carte that range from a Flea Shampoo ($ 5) to De-​matting or De-​shedding ($ 10 each).
I am tempted to introduce my Bellini to Doggy Daycare so that she can be social with other dogs and with The Dog Spot’s affordable prices, I can make this happen on a regular basis.
Single visits are $ 22 with 5-​day ($ 20 daily) or monthly packages ($ 18 daily) available too.

Boarding is available at $ 35 for the first dog and $ 25 per additional dog which also includes Doggy Daycare. You may also inquire about training.
