We are a full service gourmet restaurant and catering company with a twist. What is the twist? It is simply the Chef. The chef will be at every dinner, function or party. We are a company that prides ourselves in over 30 years of combined experience in gourmet cooking and the service industry, as well as creating lasting business relationships. We also offer interactive cooking classes for the whole family. Class size is limited, so preregistration is required.
History
Established in 2008.
This business is built on a love of the culinary world, and a rock solid reputation. Chris Rains uses his experience as Executive Chef of the Sommet Center (now Bridgestone Arena) with the Nashville Predators and his years as Executive Chef of the Wildhorse Saloon to create an unforgettable experience. With The Chef & I, you don’t just have a caterer. You have your own private chef for your event, interaction, education, and fabulous food.

Business Owner
Executive Chef Chris Rains has been a Nashville chef for 20 years including roles as Executive Chef at the Wildhorse Saloon and at the arena with the Nashville Predators. His style is approachable but elevated: gourmet meets rock n’ roll. He loves teaching technique and sharing recipes, and always has an adventurous new dish up his sleeve. Originally from Seattle, he moved here in his teens and enjoys life in Nashville with his wife and daughter.
