Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery

Service was mediocre. Food was delicious. Would recommend the crab and artichoke dip! Couple down the bar ordered Calamari and when they sent it back, the bartender took it behind the bar and was eating it periodically for the next half hour.

Great experience this week while traveling for the Music City Bowl game. This restaurant is situated in the heart of downtown’s music scene and was prime seating for the battle of the university bands! Great service, nice outdoor patio, good drinks. Pizza was not as tasty as I would have expected with it being a homemade beer crust. Good spot for a drink with friends.

Ate lunch here New Years day after the big NYE bash. Nice atmosphere, cool place to eat at. Didn’t drink anything but the majority of people seemed to have alcohol with their meals so I am assuming they have pretty good drinks, not personally into beer but was neat to see the brewery stuff in the middle of the restaurant. Also a rooftop patio that we didn’t get to experience but seems like another very neat feature of the restaurant.
Had a small issue with our food order and had multiple employees jump on it immediately and it was taken care of right away. Definitely will go back if ever visit Nashville again.

Would be 4, but services was slow. However they were busy, that could be why. SHANNON, was not our server, but sat us in the bar area and helped us were to go next, thank you!

We came here to spend New Year’s Eve on the rooftop. They had a great view of the concert on Broadway and a VERY good price ($ 20/​per person) and the staff were friendly for the most part and there were numerous TVs that were easy to see. I know you get what you pay for, but it was 36 degrees out and there was a not a single space heater or patio heater or any kind of heater to be found in the entire place! It was ridiculous. The only warm spot was the bathroom. We had to wait in line for close to three hours to get in and then basically froze once we were there. The menu was slightly boring. The food and drinks were average. I’d give them three stars if my fingers weren’t still frozen from the lack of heat…

This is a great place to hang out with friends and have a micro brew, domestic or import beer. They have beer flights so you can try most of their beers. Friendly staff and very informative on different types of beer. Food is very good. You can see the stadium from the top bar. I’m heading back next weekend and will be visiting this place again.

Came for a couple drinks and appetizers after a Predators game. My boyfriend ordered the beer flight and I had a whisky. Drinks were great but the food not so much. We ordered the Jalepeno Cheese Dip and was underwhelmed. The atmosphere was pretty cool we sat upstairs along the bar. Would probably come give these guys another shot but not expecting too much.

I stopped in here recently when visiting Nashville for a concert. I mainly stopped here for beer before the show because I didn’t want to visit any of the other country bars in Nashville.
I do like the way this place is setup, but that’s about it. The stills are in a great viewable spot along with the rooftop bar. The beer is only average. I tried a range from what they had on tap… IPA, Red, and a Lager (if I remember correctly.) This place might benefit from thinking of some creative names for their beer.
The food isn’t much better. For the most part, most tourists should dig this place. If you care about what you’re eating or if you’re passionate about craft beer… then you’re safe to pass over this place.
Most know that I type a lot for places I love. For this place, there’s not really anything to rave about so I’ll keep this review short.

The outdoor patio is a great place to people watch! I chose the portobello burger (sub veggie patty) with a side of Mac and cheese (hold the bacon) surprise! A very good burger! Definitely suggest it to other vegetarians! My server was «Zach» very knowledgable about the menu and pleasant! I recommend stopping by the next time you are in Nashville! FYI! Parrot friendly!

If you like eating mediocre food that causes terrible burny farting non stop, THIS IS THE PLACE!

My sister, husband, cousin and I stopped in for beers and a bite to eat. We opted for the rooftop for the view. While the menu selection was smaller, it was sufficient. The beer was very good. I had the Belgian Ale, my cousin the Red and my husband the Dark (I forget the names of the beers). we all enjoyed our beer. You can get one of three sizes for a beer which was really nice.
We enjoyed the food as well. We started with Onion Rings to share. The dipping sauce was nice and had a nice bite to it. My husband and I shared the Gorgonzola burger and it was delicious. while it’s something we could find elsewhere, the burger was cooked to our liking and the bun and add ons were fresh.
We enjoyed the atmosphere of the rooftop bar and we got to listen to some live bands that were playing around the brewery on rooftops. The rooftop has a nice view up Broadway and we got some great pictures of the street lit up with neon signs.
I would definitely recommend stopping in for a drink and a bite.

Fairly typical Rock Bottom. 1 bonus feature is the rooftop seating area, which gives you a solid view of the river and part of Broadway if you get the right seat.
Menu was kind of limited (may have just been the rooftop and/​or lunch). Food was typical Rock Bottom: fine, but nothing crazy.

Great brewery and restaurant. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Our server Jeannie (or Jennie… Unsure) was awesome and knew so much about the beers. She even got us a private tour of the brewery in which we got to meet Thomas the «brew master» and he gave us a one-​on-​one personal tour insight into his brews! We got to sample the very limited grilled pineapple beer which was awesome! Great place and great vibe right down town!

We stopped in and ate dinner outside– first level on Sunday 8÷30÷15. Our server was fine– he got my order right so his listening skills were on point. He came back and checked on us periodically.
This was my 1^st time to Rock Bottom but my boyfriend has visited other locations and said they were good.
My food– a grilled chicken/​avocado sandwich w/​a side of blk beans was good. I asked for fresh onions instead of the fried ones that come w/​it and a side of bbq sauce– their bbq sauce is good.
My boyfriend’s fries were cold and his bun was burnt so he was bummed. The kitchen needs to improve– it’s never okay to send a burnt bun to a customer and food needs to be served hot– it isn’t rocket science or is it?

This is a situation where I find myself drafting an initial review and could see myself writing a better one once I’ve been given the full experience. However, this is the review for the rooftop bar only.
I mean, why would you not go to the rooftop bar first of all… it’s awesome. I’ve been for drinks a handful of times and love that it’s never too crowded. I enjoy the red sangria although it’s a bit sweeter than I prefer. My biggest gripe here is that the bartenders refuse to give you service if you’ll be outside (and why would you not be if you are at the rooftop bar). I completely understand that they want to give the servers business, but sometimes you want a quick drink and don’t really want to wait for the servers to make their way around to your table. I’ve always had decent service but it would be quicker if we could have gone to the bar instead. Overall, I enjoy stopping here for a drink while enjoying a nice day and would recommend checking out the rooftop lounge.

It looks like this place gets pretty bad ratings, but I had a fine experience. I was in town on business, and had a free afternoon. Went straight for the roof, sat outside, drank some craft beer.
It was fine and worth doing again.

How have I not written a review for Rock Bottom?! I love this place! I’ve been here multiple times and really enjoy coming. Food/​service/​beer is great. They have a rooftop bar which is enjoyable when the weather is nice. One of my favorite spots on Broadway.

Pretty standard bar fare, which worked really well for our group of 18 people– everyone was able to find something they liked. We were able to sit outdoors on the big rooftop deck (until the rain came). But the staff handled it well, they had a backup plan in place and simply moved us inside and seamlessly continued the service. For being a brewery, I can’t comment on the brews because I had a cocktail — the Pom Berry Cocktail which was fruity, refreshing and delicious. Good service, fair prices, decent food and great cocktails– that pretty much sums it up.

The rock bottom brewery is on Main Street in downtown Nashville Tennessee and was a pretty cool place. I wish I could say the same about the food. I had somebody call two hours ahead to make reservations for lunch. When we arrived the hostess said that we didn’t need a reservation and there wasn’t any reservation in our name. Once we got inside I noticed there were plenty of seats available but it would’ve been nice if the lady that spoke to us on the phone told us that we did need a reservation.
The hostess escorted us into a back room which took us to an elevator and there was a gentleman that took us to the elevator to the top floor. When we got off the elevator there was a big bar and it was fairly empty I would say there was three tables full upstairs. The gentleman then got us a table outside overlooking the entire downtown area. I have to say once I saw the view I got really excited because literally you can see the entire main street downtown you could see all the bars the Bridgestone center it’s a really really cool view from upstairs.
The food on the other hand was okay. I did start off with a local light beer that they had On tap. I can’t remember the name of it but it was was good. I have to say at first glance of the menu they did have a lot of stuff on their menu they had everything from Chile two wraps to salad two burgers to pulled pork they had a wide variety of options. We started off with an appetizer of hot chicken wings and they were good. My friend she got the breaded chicken sandwich which actually looked really good. Another person I was with ordered a chicken finger platter with french fries and he said that the chicken tenders were very good. I ordered the tillamook bacon burger. I was excited to try this burger. When I got the burger and I took my first bite I wasn’t all that impressed with it. The burger was cooked on an open flame by the outside tasted really really burn and charge more than any other charred burger that I’ve ever had. The inside was good but the outside was just absolutely chard. I only ate half of my burger and I ended up getting something else when once we left the restaurant. If I do come back to this location which I probably will just have drinks. I will just stick to very simple food like wings chicken tenders etc.
Overall the rock bottom restaurant is a really good place if you want to sit upstairs and get an amazing view of downtown Nashville. I do recommend going here but I recommend staying just for drinks. They have a wide variety of beers local and nonlocal. If you’re going to order food I would recommend ordering appetizer things. I don’t know what’s coming here at dinner time is better because I’ve looked at some of the other reviews and I’ve noticed that people seem to have better experiences eating here at night time as opposed to lunch.

— didn’t really like my burger it was too burnt. I ordered med and it came out charred.

The good:
Location.
Fresh beer (albeit limited in style).
The bad:
Hygiene of employees.
Employees will sweep the floor and spray disinfectant right next to you when you’re eating.
Food is mediocre at best and that’s assuming you want yet another barbecue burger.
The bottom line:
Nashville is overly abundant in places with the same food and drink fare. The difference is many of the others have live music and longer hours and the employees are more hygienic.
