As a new referring professional, Rebecca has helped me to guide families and individuals in the right direction. She has been instrumental in providing counseling and the correct treatment for people I have worked with in the community. Rebecca goes above and beyond to provide the services that are needed for each individual and I am extremely grateful.

As a referring professional, I have seen Rebecca help countless families and individuals find healing. Besides being national presence in the addiction community, her work has been highlighted in the media and she is respected in the therapeutic community both locally and nationally. I would refer a loved one to her, which says a lot!

I started going to Rebecca almost a year ago and went to her for about 4 months or so. Her office is on the second floor in a house (that turned into leased office space) near West End. There’s limited parking in the back of the house.
After a few months of counseling, she recommended another counselor that specializes in individual counseling.
Everything was fine until I asked her for receipts of the co-​pays I’ve paid for. Since I have elected to use the Flexible Spending Account through work this year, in order to get reimbursed, I need to send my receipts for the co-​pays that I’ve paid along with the Explanation of Benefits (EOB). As I’m reconciling my paperwork, I found that I was missing them. Unfortunately, I never received any receipts for cash payments from Rebecca during those sessions. I called, left messages and texted Rebecca — without any luck. Then, I finally tracked her down on FB, sent her a message on there and emailed her. She calls me and says that she couldn’t provide receipts due to HIPAA regulations. Wahhhh??? I have the EOBs with the dates and amounts for the services provided — why would this cause her to violate HIPAA? Doesn’t make any sense to me. I’ve asked my doctors and the counselor (she referred me to) for receipts and they’ve all provided them to me w/​o questions. Then she finally says that she will do it but it will take her 30 days. I emailed her after our phone call to reiterate our phone conversation with her agreement to send me the receipts by ¹⁰⁄₃₁. So on 11/​4, I emailed her to ask if she’s had sent the receipts… her response was, «Your receipts are your EOBs. Let this email stand as a receipt that your account is paid in full and there is no balance.» That is not sufficient and was not accepted by the Flexible Spending Account company.
I’m not pleased with the way she handled this situation or how she conducted business when it came to straightening things out for her clients.
