Absolutely loved everything about my experience at Pinewood Social. I do not live in Nashville and was coming into town to throw my sister and fiancé a couple’s shower. A good friend of mine suggested PWS since it would offer an activity but would still have a nice and trendy vibe. I worked with Juliann to plan this event and she was always so quick to respond to emails and offer suggestions on the food and beverage plan. The shower was the same weekend that snowstorm Jonas decided to make an appearance, and the team at PWS kept me updated on whether or not they would close — never once making me nervous about having to cancel the party. We had 26 – 30 guests arrive for the party and booked the entire back bowling area on a Sunday evening for 3 hours(5−8pm). They allowed us to come in 30 minutes early to set up the area and Juliann, as well as our servers for the evening, Caroline and Alex, made a point to come up and introduce themselves to us prior to everyone showing up. The service was absolutely incredible, as was the food and beverages. They made the evening flow without any hiccups and were there with a smile every time anyone needed anything. On top of everything, we had multiple friend groups at the party that did not all know one another — the bowling helped everyone get a chance to interact and meet making it such a fun evening. The party was a tremendous success and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone. The price point was higher than I would have spent if I were throwing the party at home, but it was worth every penny. I would 100% host another event here in the future and suggest(if you are reading this) that you do, too! Such an incredible staff — thank you for making the evening absolutely perfect!

Yeah baby they have bowling, bocce ball, coffee and a bar. The food is good, the drinks are as well. The pools on the other hand are pretty much bath tubs… so you’re sitting in a frothy pool of human liquids/excrement so I wouldn’t recommend. The rest of the stuff is rad and worth your time. Also the décor is cool and the parking is easy. Good place to go to show off to your guests and see ladies that like bachelorette parties

This is a very fun place! The service is always good! Best Lobster roll I’ve had in Nashville. Fried broccoli is like nothing I’ve ever had! Love it!

Love this place! Fun environment, great customer service and food! Some of my girlfriends and I had a long weekend in Nashville and decided we wanted to brunch here on our last day before heading to the airport. We made a reservation and were seated right when we arrived — they also had a great little room where we were able to put our luggage instead of having to take it to the table with us. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. I split the goat cheese omelet and the egg sandwich with a friend and both were amazing! I also indulged in a latte. They don’t have flavorings which made me skeptical at first because normally lattes without them that are poorly made taste awful but the latte was so well made that any true coffee lover would be in heaven. The atmosphere was very relaxed with a side of fun(as they have a bowling alley and games IN the establishment). Sadly, we only had time to eat and run but next time I’m in Nashville I will definitely return to enjoy everything they have to offer more in depth.

Honestly, I was extremely underwhelmed by a place that is given so much hype. I am not sure if I came on an off night, but the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. They seemed to be upset that we came in to give them business and paid little attention to our table. The food is overpriced for such a basic meal. There were not many options, but I was able to sample a few of my friends food and nothing stood out as «delicious.» Activities are always a plus, so I do give them props for bowling etc. This may be a better experience if you come to bowl first and eating/drinking is secondary. The location is a little hidden. Keep your eyes peeled because I ended up in a warehouse which is NOT where you should be. If you are looking to barhop, don’t put this place on your list.

Pinewood is one of my go to spots for a cocktail lunch or taking our out of town guests. It’s one of those places you’re proud to take people and or send them here. The cocktails are delicious and the menu keeps it interesting with kale salad to the delicious fried chicken. For lunch I’ll get the grilled chicken salad and dinner I’ll usually go for the ½ fried chicken with a side of jalapeño Mac and cheese. The chicken is great because you can split it with someone or take the other half home. I’d also recommend the Thai spare ribs as an appetizer. It’s also a cool place to study if you want to switch up your regular coffee shop routine. The community tables are great and you kind of feel like your somewhere without feeling totally distracted. Not to mention once you’re done you can have a victory cocktail! My only complaint would be that sometimes the cocktails can be a bit inconsistent due to soooo many bartenders. You’ll rarely see the same person twice which I think varies the quality. So sometimes my favorite drink will taste great one day and a little tart the next. This place is one of my faves and its not a cheap date but I never regret spending the money in exchange for an awesome experience.

I’ve been here several times, as we are locals. I’ve also waited two years to post a review. The food and drinks are great, don’t get me wrong. Their service and overall attitude is what will never bring us or my groups of friends I’ve taken there back. There’s a consistent snotty attitude amongst every staff member we’ve ever encountered. The kind that makes you want to say«settle down, you serve food for a living.» If they were all snotty nosed but the service was great, would probably look past it. But that’s not the case-and we’ve given them several chances. The final straw was going Monday. It was not packed-we walked right it and got a table for 8. It took 22 minutes to flag someone down to request service.

Great customer service, super fancy cocktails that don’t disappoint your taste buds but do your wallet. Went there for dinner last night, and word to the wise you need a reservation. Fried broccoli– it does melt in your mouth, and the dipping sauce has just the right hint of sweetness Sweet Potato Bisque– smooth and sweet, although could use some bread on the side Jalapeño Mac and Cheese– savory, with a little crunch Cocktails– I had the ‘pious aspirations’ and my husband had an old fashioned. I LOVED my drink, it was a quintessential fruity girly drink without seeming so(if that makes any sense). My husband enjoyed his drink as well, even as someone who doesn’t drink whiskey that often.

Great place. Just remember before you go to shove a stick up your bum, point your nose in the air and that smiling, under any circumstances is. NOT. COOL. That attitude goes for both the waitstaff as well as the other patrons too. I don’t know where this concept comes from that it is now inappropriate to be friendly with your clientele but I am not a fan. Perhaps I’m already a little jaded by the pretentious, hipster/yupster-laden, gentrifying influx this previously relaxed and friendly city has experienced lately but this place quantifies all that I dislike about this new, «too-cool-for-school» attitude that everyone under the age of 35 now seems compelled to have. The motto of Pinewood Social is «A Place to Meet». To me, it seems like it should be «A Place to Stand and Pose and Judge». Lighten up, folks. It’s a freakin’ bowling alley and a bar for God’s sake. Your man-buns aren’t going to spontaneously unravel if you look like you’re having fun. As for the bowling alley. It’s a cool piece of americana sport I suppose and I applaud their intention to preserve that but if you actually like to bowl, just go somewhere else with modern and properly maintained lanes. It’s not worth the 3 month waiting list to bowl here. What was initially a cool and unique feature now seems to serve to perpetuate the elitist, intentionally forced exclusivity of the joint. In my experience, the food has been pretty tasty but the vibe of the place and the attitude of the service is not welcoming. And that’s the thing. If it were only the other customers that had the elitist attitude that would be one thing but the servers do too and on top of it, they forget items of your order. You have to flag them down for refills, etc. The food is slow and you have to wait a long time to sit down. As a server, if you’re going to act like you are the sh*t, then by God, please actually BE the sh*t but don’t be un-friendly and slow. Bad combination. Especially for a comparatively expensive lunch. To my server last Saturday, my apologies for coming in and spending money and tipping you to do your job. That must have been a real drag, maaannn. I’ve been here twice. The first time was right after they first opened. We ate dinner and got to bowl as well. It was a pretty good experience. The staff was friendly. The crowd was a good mix and it was, all in all, a fun time. Went back last Saturday and the vibe has completely changed. Seems the«smug» from elsewhere has rolled in and permeated the walls. Won’t be back.

I was visiting Nashville with my significant other for New Year’s, since neither of us have been there before. As coffee addicts, we dropped by for a cup of coffee and lunch. I must say that I was very impressed with the interior and concept of Pinewood Social. It’s hard to describe how the environment is like… It’s got a library/studious, cozy, loungey, bar and restaurant vibe all in one. It all worked well. Anyway, we ordered a Crema Cuban(made with condensed milk) and it was DIVINE. We barely missed lunch(the end lunch service at 3 pm), so we had to settle for the midday menu. We were a little disappointed by it because the midday menu was a limited lunch menu essentially, and many items we wanted weren’t available because they were on the lunch menu. So we ordered oysters, a hamburger with fries and fried broccoli. The oysters were really good; really fresh and the vinaigrette was delicious and a good pairing for the oysters. The hamburger and fries were decent; nothing extraordinary though. The fried broccoli were outstanding at first but as I ate more the broccoli started to taste heavier and heavier, greasier and greasier. However, the almond dipping sauce was pure bliss. I dipped it with fries too because it was that good. We visited the bar later that night and their cocktails are pretty good. They’re infused with different flavors, such as ginger, spices, etc. The bartenders were very knowledgable and friendly. If I’m ever in town again, I’d go back. Only make it on time for lunch or dinner haha.

Very interesting design-you can choose either to eat while playing with your computer as every body else on the same long table or to eat at the bar or at a separate table like you are really having a lunch/dinner. Good ambience, except it’s a little bit awkward to eat at the table while everything else is playing with computer. I tried the trout dip. Generous portion. Tasty. The Crema Cuba is good – at least it was what I was looking for at that moment. Sweet latte in a comfort way; no taste of sour from the coffee. There’s a bowling place next to the dinning area. Overall, the modern design makes this place look quite hip.

Was disappointed with my visit to Pinewood Social on NYE for lunch and a cocktail. I sat at the bar and waited for 30 minutes to order and decided to skip it after being ignored and speaking to a few other customers who had mentioned how awful the service was, hearing that while the food and drinks were pretty good, certainly not worth the wait and rude encounters with the unhelpful bartenders. To their credit, the place seemed to be wildly understaffed and set up in an inefficient manner. Perhaps this was just an off day. Was so glad to later find Arnold’s, Crying Wolf and Edley’s BBQ which reinforced my love for Nashville and made the rest of my visit so much better. Pinewood Social looks like it could be fun if they can tend to their customers a little better.

I had high hopes for this place, I read the reviews and many people had great things to say about the food and the pictures looked great! I’m from Australia and a big time foodie so I’m always looking for someplace nice to eat, unfortunately Nashville isn’t looking too good in my foodie diary! Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places. Tonight there was 4 of us, we ordered: Meat loaf(which was highly suggested on Unilocal) — was the worst meat loaf I’ve ever tasted, it was bland, mushy like texture, almost like the inside of a sausage and came with one slice of meat loaf with 2 onion rings on top. Terrible for $ 20 a plate. The pictures on Unilocal were deceiving, the meatloaf slice was way larger and came with Mac and cheese with what looked like kale. Looked nothing like the plate we received! Fried catfish– bland, nothing you couldn’t order at a fast food restaurant, came with 2 small hush puppie looking balls on the side. Defiantly not worth $ 18 Kale Caesar with chicken– it was basically a huge bowl of kale with parmesan shredded on top. Chicken was dry and grilled till it was charcoaled, tasted so burnt. Overpriced for my liking $ 18 Fried chicken– which was the best out of everything we had, wasn’t bland had great taste, 4 pcs for $ 15 also came with a tiny side of raw cauliflower salad. Fried broccoli– some things you just can’t fry. Terrible, oily, burnt, bland. It’s like these people don’t know how to season their foods. $ 7 Mac & cheese– not a bad side, had jalapeños added to it. Topped with breadcrumbs. Wasn’t dry, all in all was not too bad. $ 8 My experience here was okay, venue was nice(1 star), music was great(1 star), service was meh, food WASTHEWORST! Our whole check came to $ 155. I’m sorry but I don’t think I’ll come back here again. It’s pretentious, with terrible overpriced food and a C grade service. Kinda hurt tipping our waiter $ 30 his service was not worth the tip he received but my mother in law insisted. I probably won’t be back. Defiantly not for the food.

Great place, amazing concept! We had a late lunch at 3 and got food to share. The dip, fried broccoli and cheese burger. Was coffee was flat and average but not an entire let down. If you are in Nashville this place is great to go to!

Super hip – but in the best way! I’ve been here a few time for brunch and the food was absolutely fantastic. My boyfriend and I went here a few nights ago to have dinner/drinks/and go bowling. Bowling is *very* expensive $ 40/hr but it was a GREAT time. We reserved a lane for 11pm and were the only ones out there. The feel of the place – including the bowling alley is great. Very hipster, but wonderfully decorated, and incredibly friendly service. There’s service at the bowling alley so you can order food/drink/coffee which is great. Also, the whole place splits tips so you don’t have to worry about closing out at one area to move to another. This was especially nice since we hopped from the lounge, to bar, to alley throughout the night. The dinner food is quite expensive-but it really is quality. We had several of their cocktails which were to die for! The bartenders were VERY helpful with recommendations and explanations for those of us who don’t know what all the ingredients are. They also serve Crema coffee. I can never resist the cuban, and the mocha is amazing as well. We enjoyed sitting at the couches and chatting. It’s really a great environment since you can enjoy the company of a date or a group of friends without feeling closed off from the rest of the place. You have lots of options so there really is something for everyone. The place is very large and open which is very refreshing. I know that there’s a deck with a pool for in the summer, but I haven’t gotten to try that out yet!

Offering a wide array of social options, the Pinewood Social has comfortable seating, bowling, a cool bar scene with craft cocktails and great food options. We had a great time sitting at the bar enjoying some unusual cocktail combinations before our Southern-inspired home style dinner. Didn’t have the opportunity to bowl but loved the retro ambiance!

Oh, please do yourself a favour and order the meatloaf at Pinewood Social. You’ll be too blown away by the awesome ambience and environment that you find yourself in, choosing something from the great menu will be difficult, so I’m here to make it easy for you. This was my favorite stop in Nashville and I’d go back again and again if I could. It has a lounge area to just sit and relax with a coffee(it’ll be loud though), a huge square bar and plenty of seating. BUT there is also a bowling lane in the back. My mind = blown. They were booked solid for bowling(tears down my face), but I didn’t hate them for it. Sure that would have made my trip an absolute dream, but I lived nonetheless. So do yourself a favour, oh, another favour, and call ahead for reservations on the bowling lane. You’ll go so Instagram crazy with the adorb and hipster pictures you’ll be able to take. Trust me.

Hipster paradise . Overpriced. Great concept . Pinewood social is ducked off in the most unusual spot. I’ve been here a couple of times just now getting around to review it. Upon walking in there was a group of tourist(very apparent) so excited to be in Nashville, they asked my friend to take a pic of them. They wanted to make sure the skyline was in it, warmed my heart ! I then felt hmmm ok PS is in the perfect spot . Walking in you can see why it’s on everyone’s top list to eat. The combination of work & play ! Theres bowling … A pool. There’s a big comfy area for groups. Looks to be mimicking a living room. There’s also seats towards the front for people doing work .My fav part has to be the huge bar in the center of the room. I went for a relaxing lunch date the other day & the mixologists were hard at work! I was starving so I ordered the chicken torta & a mocktail. Everything on the cocktail menu sounded awesome but I wanted to keep it chill for lunch. My friend ordered the lobster roll & a drink similar to an old fashioned. My food arrived & I totally forgot to ask for a green salad instead of fries. My mocktail was delicious. A perfect blend of ginger, lime & tonic ! My only take away is the lobster roll. For 22 bucks it shouldn’t be a lobster salad. looked like a ton of mayo mixed with lobster. Ehhhh thumbs down. I tasted a bit, the flavor was good but not what we pictured. This place is pricey. For lunch the bill was almost 70 bucks. I remembered why I don’t come to PS often. Great place to take a group of out of towners. Date night. Just be prepared for long waits & empty pockets afterwards !

EVERYONE told me to go here. And I can see why. It’s like Williamsburg in Nashville. The venue itself is cute. There’s a bowling alley, small pool and hot tub, bocce courts, and outdoor lounge area and the space is beautifully designed. Servers are friendly and helpful. The cocktail list is extensive offering something like 50 something drinks. I think. I loved the vibe. It’s a perfect spot to go to with friends, if you’re on a date or even by yourself with your laptop. But I have to say the food wasn’t that impressive. I ordered the fried catfish and my friend ordered the kale salad and fried broccoli. The fried catfish was bland. I covered in tartar sauce and hot sauce to make it better. It was served with fried shrimp balls which tasted more like bread than shrimp. The coleslaw was too vinegary. My friend’s kale salad and brocooli was delish but that’s where it ends. If you’re going to go, go for the vibe not the food.
