Specialties

We specialize in piano and vocal instruction.

Piano classes are small, consisting of 4 students or private instruction. Each student should have his/​her piano instrument to practice goals in between lesson. Beginner instruction is in 30 minute length and advance to intermediate to 4 minutes. Group classes are also 45 minutes long. Each student will earn counting, keyboard geography, sharps, flats, staff note reading, and ensemble playing. Piano classes give children and adults the opportunity to learn in a fun, relaxed piano class atmosphere. Friendships develop, and the joy of sharing music is experienced. Students progress more rapidly in a stress-​free piano class environment. Students are grouped according to age and ability. Parents are welcome to visit any time! For supplemental work, refer to resources in the Piano Explorer magazine each month.

Vocal Instruction: Students develop their voices by improving their breathing quality, pitch, intonation, ear training and sight reading abilities. Recording is necessary to listen and improve quality of singing. Music will be distributed according to each performance goal.

History

Established in 1998.

Alecia Stringer studied piano pedagogy and vocal instruction and has a degree of Music Education from Western Kentucky in 2001.

She has experienced teaching in Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Texas and Tennessee of all ages from babies to Seniors.

She also has been certified to teach Kindermusik from 2006 to 2013.

Accomplished, goal driven teacher with a passion for the impact early childhood music has in a community. Music is the foundation for future piano and vocal students. I believe our role as parents is to provide the invaluable experience of music education to our children. Expressing this form of art, allows them to positively contribute to and be proud of their community. My gratification comes from shaping the lives of children who are learning and loving music.
