King Jewelers is an authorized luxury dealer with over forty designers, including Cartier, Hublot, Harry Winston, Breitling, Chanel, Bulgari, Chopard, Roger Dubuis, IWC, Jaeger-​LeCoultre, A. Link, Kwiat, Roberto Coin and Judith Ripka, just to name a few!

History

Established in 1912.

In 1898 Louis King crossed the Atlantic and established his roots in the US. Originally a watchmaker, he settled the family in Philadelphia, working days in a factory and repairing watches at night.

In 1902 Louis headed west to Salt Lake City, where he opened King & Co, a pawnshop and trading post that stocked mining supplies, guns and suitcases. Here, the King family provided the miners with supplies while purchasing the precious stones and metals mined locally. Having acquired a large gold inventory, Louis eventually decided to specialize and focus on jewelry exclusively.

In January 1912, the King family moved the business to the heart of Salt Lake City, reopening as King’s Jewelers. A family legacy was born.

Since then the fifth generations of the Kings have ushered in the opening of renowned boutiques in various locations. The King family now focus on the luxury salon in Aventura, FL and celebrate the most recent salon opening in Nashville, TN in late 2008.

Business Owner

Born in Miami Beach, David King is the fifth generation to own and operate King Jewelers. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, David has worked with his family since 2001 during which time he has become responsible for exceptional professional and charitable contributions. Within the jewelry and watch industries, David consults for various luxury Swiss watch brands, sits on the advisory board of Watch Journal and OPT Central, manages the King Jewelers brand and its on-​line store at www. Kings1912​.com. In late 2008, David launched his family new store in Nashville, TN and recently announced the launch of his new line, Rock Royalty Customs. In addition, he has co-​founded a new young leaders organization for the Monroe Carroll Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Beware, do not fall for the special on Tacori ring, they are not an authorized Tacori retailer. Tacori will not honor the warranty on any ring purchase from this retailer. Because of the poor quality of the wedding band along with missing authentication, I file a return based on their policy that «engraved wedding band may be returned». King Jeweler altered their return their policy in an attempt to avoid return.
See images below for the snapshot of the policy I took at 12:24am the morning of and the altered one at 9:34pm that same day after I file for return.
They are as fraudulent as they come. Even street thugs are not that fraudulent.

Phenomenal job on re-​finishing my titanium watch.
I have a 2007 Breitling Avenger titanium that was in need of some serious re-​finishing. The movement was fine so I did not want to spend 1K to send it in to Breitling to have a complete overhaul done. I decided to stop in at King Jewelers to see what they could do.
They confidently said they could do it and offered a much more reasonable price so I left the watch with them. Honestly, I was not expecting perfection but that is what I got I back. The watch literally looks brand new. They even did it in less than a week.
Next time I need to pick something special for my wife, I will be back.

I came in the store last Saturday to have a couple of repairs done and brought some loose stones and ring that I wanted ideas on mounting. Derrick was extremely helpful! He was so nice, had great ideas but was mindful of my budget and not pushy at all! He is very knowledgeable and spent so much time helping me even though he knew I was just looking at that point. I would highly recommend asking for Derrick to help you with any of your jewelry needs at King Jewelers. I went back today to have one stone mounted and spent more time with Derrick getting ideas on redesigning some other pieces! Thank you Derrick! I will be back! Gigi

I’ve had two rings resized here and one for a stone replacement. The staff is very friendly and thorough! The most recent ring was my engagement ring that needed to be resized, and I told them that I had just got it a couple of days ago, so they said they would try to get it done quickly, within a couple of days. But then about 2 hours after I left, they called me and said it was done! I was so surprised. They said that Monday is the slowest day, and that they wanted to do my ring quickly because I had only just got it and was obviously eager to wear it again.
A few months back I had them replace an amethyst and a sapphire that had fallen out of one of my own rings, and they did a great job, it looked even better than when it was new.
I haven’t looked at what they have for sale there, but I can highly recommend their repairing and resizing services!

I don’t even want to give 1 star. Awful customer service! My husband and I purchased our wedding bands here and made payments while they were in layaway. I paid them off and went into the store to pick them up to find out that my husbands ring wasn’t finished and they couldn’t find mine! And this was 2 days before my wedding! Our salesman, Mark, never ordered my husbands ring when we put the deposit down, which I was told by other sales people there is what should’ve happened. The whole time the staff is running around trying to figure out where our rings are the manager, David King, never once came over to talk to me. He talked to me when I first walked into the store but while his staff was frantic he was laughing with some of his friends that had walked in. We left with no rings and Mark had to bring them both the morning of my wedding.
Do not make the mistake we did by going here! After 2 phone calls I’m STILL trying to get an appraisal letter for the rings! Just an all around awful company!

This is the best jewelry store in Nashville hands down. My fiancé and I visited several stores in Chicago and all over Nashville and no experience compared to king jewelers. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, the owner even sat down to talk with us and got us glasses of wine. We ended up customizing our engagement ring which was such a fun experience and the ring turned out beyond my expectations. Their selection of oval diamonds was the best and while there were a lot of beautiful designer rings to look at we decided to make it more unique and could never be happier. Our wedding is this spring so we just got matching wedding bands in rose gold to match my ring and the TAG Heuer watch that I bought him for the wedding. We’ve found our Jewelers for life!!! Tim is the best just FYI. Thank you king jewelers for making our experience so enjoyable and my ring so gorgeous!

I recently purchased a custom diamond ring here for my wife and had two Mont Blanc pens serviced and was treated very respectfully both times. Kings Jewelers has a great selection of jewelry and watches and the prices are competitive if you are shopping for higher end jewelry. This is not a place to shop to get a $ 50 watch battery replaced or if your budget is more in line with a mall jeweler. They have one of the best selections for unique and quality pieces in Nashville and a vast selection of high end watches. The sales staff is friendly and most importantly knowledgeable. I did not feel pressured at any time nor was I looked down on. They answered my questions and left me alone to browse until I narrowed down what I was looking for which I personally liked. I would recommend Kings if you are looking for quality jewelry at a fair and competitive price and want to deal with a professional staff that is knowledgable. Are they the lowest prices in town? Probably not, but you get what you pay for IMHO.

Great experience visiting this store. The sales staff is is friendly and very knowledgeable. They have a very large selection of high end watches and were able to answer all of my more technical questions. This is important in my opinion and something I look for in a store since I am a collector of fine watches. I would highly recommend them to my friends and other collectors.

We found ourselves at King Jewelers after getting terrible treatment from some of Nashville’s highest-​rated jewelry stores. We needed a vintage estate engagement ring resized, and received rude treatment at one store, and had another store try to tell us our diamond was fake — unacceptable.
We ran into King Jewelers feeling incredibly upset with our morning so far, but once Tim started helping us our entire day turned around. After hearing our story, he took the ring into the back and confirmed that we had a real diamond, putting us at ease after the previous jeweler tried to screw with us.
Tim was the most gracious, intelligent, and professional fellow that you can imagine. He made sure everything went smoothly, and went the extra mile to walk us through the processes — this was particularly welcome, since my fiancée has serious anxiety and was very worried about having my great grandmother’s ring in her care. While we waited for the ring to come out, he stayed with us and chatted — and not even fake small talk, he was genuinely interested in us and was a pleasure to hang with.
For such a fabulously stocked store with incredible service, the prices were beyond fair. It was a nice surprise to find that the service was well within our low budget. We will be back to see Tim as soon as it’s time to select wedding bands, and we honestly can’t wait to visit and have him assist us.
I can’t recommend them highly enough — if you need a jeweler, don’t head to the ‘Village’ or ‘Belle Meade’ — King Jewelers needs to be at the top of your list. King Jewelers has that special something, a mix of atmosphere, stock, and particularly their employees, that sets them apart from the other shops in Nashville.

The customer service at King Jewelers is incredible. They are always ready and willing to answer any and all questions. One employee in particular, Fumiya, stood out,. He is an expert. If there was anything he was unsure of… he did the appropriate research to find the answer. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Nashville jeweler.

I was looking for a new watch and some friends recommended I go to King Jewelers– so glad I took their advice! I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and ended up working with Denice. She was very knowledgeable and after talking about my likes and dislikes, helped me find the watch of my dreams– a gorgeous Rolex. Unfortunately it was a little out of my price range and I was sure I was going to leave empty-​handed. Denice was very understanding and assured me that she could find something I loved just as much that also fit my budget. She led me to the Tudor case and explained it was a subsidiary of Rolex– so I’d get the same quality but at a lower price. I ended up finding a watch that I loved and decided to treat myself.
I left, thinking that’d be the end of it, but a few days later I received a hand-​written thank you note from Denice. I’m a frequent shopper, so I’ve gotten cookie-​cutter «thanks for shopping» notes before, but this one was very personal– consider me impressed! My experience at Kings was great, and I’ll be visiting them for all my watch and jewelry purchases from here on out.

Went here regardless of the couple negative reviews, but I loved the selection they have for men’s watches. They didn’t have the one I wanted in stock but the employee didn’t pressure me in anyway and even noted my number down to contact me when and it would arrive. Usually jewelry places they are all up in your faces but it was a pleasant experience and I’d recommend it for any watch lovers to come check it out.
And for that gentlemen complaining about a $ 50 charge for battery/​install… You got to consider where you are getting it, which device being installed and by who. Would you take a $ 1000+ watch to a walmart associate to work on it? Workers here are experienced and you pay for what you get in my opinion. Another example for Tiffany and co products to be cleaned. I bet they charge 20 – 50 per item.

Terrible customer service. Rude and completely unprofessional.
I will never go to this place for anything ever again. $ 50 for a new battery in a watch when I can go somewhere else that’s been around just as long but with customer service that treats me as a customer and as a human and not a paycheck.

Wow, was amazed the level of personal service, knowledge, craftsmanship and price with the latest personal shopping experience at King Jewelers. I recently purchased my Fiancé’ wedding ring and the sales staff immediately made me comfortable during a process where we can easily get nervous. They worked with my design, making my custom hand-​made ring on there premises for the special person in my life. That in itself is hard to find around town. The quality is the best I could find. The ring is absolutely gorgeous and even better than I thought. Hands-​down the best in town. They made it just the way I wanted for less than anyone else.
Highly recommend this wonderful family owned business for any Jewelry need. They were honest, timely, caring, and that’s so hard to find these days.
