The hot dogs are great, I’ve only tried the bacon and Caro Bamo dogs and both were delicious and served quickly. I love the little shop and the outside eating area too. It’s not super fancy but I appreciate the simplicity of everything. The one thing I’ve noticed though, which is why this is only a 2 star review, is that the employees never smile or even seem happy to be there. I understand it’s hot and cramped in the kitchen(maybe management could work on that) but a smile goes a long way, it lets me know my business is appreciated and that I’m always welcome. Here, I don’t feel welcome, employees stare at me with joyless, annoyed faces and talk like they don’t really care. This sucks because so far I’ve really enjoyed the food but I don’t see myself ever going back because of the way I’m treated. If I do happen to go back, I’ll update my review and hopefully I’m greeted with a smile.

This was one of the first local spots I visited when I moved to BNA. I come back as often as I can. I love it! Delicious grilled dogs! And plenty of specialty combos. Check them out!

When my friend, who is originally from Chicago, wanted an Italian Beef sandwich I was hoping Hot Diggity Dogs would fit the bill. We were NOT disappointed. I ordered the Bratwurst with sauerkraut. It was grilled perfectly. The sauerkraut was a tangy topping. Though we did not order them the fries looked amazing. We will definitely visit again.

Best hot dog place in Nashville for vegetarians. The dog actually tastes good(I don’t ask what’s in it) and there are lots of options for toppings. Fries are great too. I like sitting in the tables outside– fans keep most of the heat and bugs away.

DELICIOUS! Get the Nashville. Awesome and inexpensive. The owner is very kind and you can tell she cares about her customers. The fries were also very delicious. I’m here for a school trip with some friends and this place was a nice break from the business of Broadway. Highly recommend.

This is the best place if you’re in the mood for a hot dog. They even have vegetarian options. The employees are very friendly too! Everything is yummy!

Don’t go to a hot dog place and order a cheeseburger. For $ 8.50 you’d at least expect a decent size burger maybe even a double. Pathetic rip off. It was tiny and not even a ¼ pounder. Ridiculously overpriced. And $ 4.00 for a regular sized hot dog ain’t much better. Maybe instead of having 4 people working in a space half the size of a bedroom you can cut some labor and serve something close to being worth the customers money.

This is a great example of true representation of Chicago Style Food. They have other cities represented yes but Chicago Italian Beef and the hot dog is authentic thank you!

So, I have to thank my fellow Unilocalers for guiding me to Hot Diggity Dogs. Because of the great reviews, we went out of our way to check it out. We were very satisfied with our lunch. The servers were very helpful when it was obvious that it was our first time visiting. I had the Nashville-delicious. It was rainy, so we sat inside in the covered porch on picnic tables, but there is outside seating for nicer weather. Do yourself a favor and try a dog at Hot Diggity Dogs. You won’t be disappointed.

The hot dogs are quality hot dogs, exactly what you expect. But still just a hot dog dressed up which to me is only so exciting. BUT they have brats and various specials, stick to those and you’ll be very happy. Get some(very reasonably priced) chili cheese fries on the side and you’ll be filled up for under $ 10. Our office is directly across the street so this is our go-to quick lunch.

Don’t get me wrong, the prices here are awesome. Hotdog, big bag of freshly greased fries and a soda $ 7. I got the Chicago and my sister tried the Nashville. Both dogs had fresh toppings and we’re good, but surprisingly the actual hotdog isn’t very meaty. The toppings overwhelm the dog. But it was still good. Being a tourist, we had no idea where we were. I can’t say I felt safe walking back to hotel downtown… still overall good experience.

This place is a gem. The Chicago dog and fried pickles were delicious. The friendly service really made this place stand out. I can’t wait to go back!

Love this little dive. Great dogs and brats. Cool covered picnic table seating area. Get the fried pickles! Onions rings were perfect. The lady working there was very friendly and recommended some great options!

I’m from Chicago so I know the real deal, and I don’t mean the suburbs. These hot dogs are fantastic! Co-owner, Gayle, is so welcoming and funny. I get the Chicago steamed dog and have ordered that every time I’ve gone in over 6 years.

The more I visited… the less I liked the dogs, the more I likes the staff(great people here) …and then I found the Brat. Perfect brat with kraut. Ask for spicy brown mustard, and ask for lots of it.

I tend to have a bad habit of walking in places right at close… I walked in randomly for a hot dog and didn’t even know they were closed until I had already paid. Such friendly staff. Great hot dog on top of it all. Chicago or nothing for this guy… They did not disappoint!

For a classic, expertly prepared hot dog, this is the place! I had the Nashville, Chicago, and Texas dogs. The Nashville is special, and is a must! The Chicago is perfect. The Texas is very good, but has beans! LOL! Beans in chili can be fighting words in Texas. The Nashville and Chicago were A+, the Texas was very tasty, but more like an A or A–(depending if you like beans). Special note: all buns are lightly steamed. This touch is the way almost all dogs were served many years ago, but today, few places do this anymore. I really like it!!! There are lots of places popping up these days serving gourmet dogs with fancy buns and top dollar pricing. This place serves classic dogs at good prices. The fries were perfect and crispy! The only classic dog missing from the menu was a Detroit coney. Maybe a dog for a future special? Highly recommended, and I will be back when in Nashville! Lastly, read the other reviews regarding seating.

If every hot dog was this good you wouldn’t need to go out of your way for one this good. HDD sets the bar for Nashville’s premier hot dog! All the toppings are homemade and fresh. The selection is fantastic and did I mention the crunchy, real potato fries? 5 Stars in Music City, don’t deny yourself this hot dog deliciousness!

Fun little Hot Dog Stand. No seating in the building. Seating is via picnic benches out back in a tent. I had the texas dog and fries. Chili on dog had beans(not my preference, but good anyway) and fries are handcut homemade style. For me 4 stars means I’ll happily go there again if I’m in the neighborhood.

We went to Hot Diggity Dogs Saturday afternoon around 2pm. I’d heard about it from a lot of people(I am a TRUE Hot Dog LOVER lol) so we finally decided to check it out since we were in the Ville. And I have to say, WOW!!! BESTHOTDOGPLACEIVEFOUNDYET!!! From the SUPER Friendly staff, to the all-beef dogs, and ALL the different toppings… this place was AWESOME!!! I got the chili cheese dog, and my bf had the Caro-Bama, we had 2 drinks, fries, and the Fried Pickle Spears– YUM! All for less than $ 20 SUCH A GREATLUNCH!!! I live in the Boro(about 45 mins outside Nashville) But I will return to Hot Diggity ANYtime I can!!! The ONLY downfall of this place are the hours… I wish they stayed open later so we could have those delicious dogs anytime :)

This is a small location tucked away behind the church and bus station area. Good thing they have parking. Also you can park on the street. Very small building, though they have a large covered tent with benches/tables plenty of room in the tent to sit and eat. Food was very good hot, fresh and the Italian beef was spot on and a good size and very filling. The Chicago dog was small. Vienna hot dogs are not big anyways. Very delicious. There fries were also very good. They have a pretty good menu plenty of stuff. Staff was friendly and I will be sure to make this a stop for lunch when in the area.

Delicious dogs! They have a ton of varieties, with slaw, pickles, chili, jalapeño, etc. I had the Chicago and it was delicious. They can also steam or grill the dog, give you a wheat bun or no bun, or replace a beef dog with a turkey dog. The fries are also amazing, although too many for one person!

This place is great! I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu and the Texas, the Nashville, and Chicago are my favorites. They do have seasonal specials as well and some of them can be really good if you know what toppings to get. The fries. Please do get the fries. They are excellent. The service is fantastic and although indoor seating is limited, there is a covered patio out back back to accommodate approximately 20 people.

My better half doesn’t care for this place too much but I on the other hand dig Hot Diggity Dogs! This place is small and is a little house just South of the new convention center but has a covered patio with seating to accommodate you if you just wanna eat and chill for a min. HDD has a wide selection of dog styles, i choose the Texas chili dog(Of course! :)) it came with melted cheese, chili with beans, and onions. Wifey choose the New York style hot dog, but by the time she took everything off it only had relish and mustard. MS. picky! lol French fries which have a crispy outside and soft inside, i wasn’t too much a fan of but they were still good! Owners and staff are pleasant and eager to help you decide what type of hot dog you want. I’m a fan! Can’t wait to try their different combinations!
