The owner finally filed claim with his insurance company after being contacted by the better business bureau who facilitated our disagreement. It was a major hassle and I would still never use them.

The work that I was told would done in couple of days took over 7 weeks from the start. Though I couldn’t be home I made arrangement for two weeks of that time for someone to be at my home. There was a problem with the contractor not showing up as scheduled and not calling to say he could not make it. The last 3 weeks each week I had to be at home as we set appointments after apologies and that this does not usually happens still no show, no call. Finally another contactor completed the work. I had to pay the full amount with no consideration of my time and loss. But since I did signed the contract, the new guy said he completed the work. I just want to say be careful with them. I would never use there service again. I still have to paint the areas they worked on to do. Also, they do not haul the any of the trash out so that was extra I have to pay.

I wouldn’t even rate one star if I didn’t have to. They called to cancel my original appointment hours before the appointment time and when they rescheduled, they were 50 minutes late for the 2^nd appointment. Worst service ever. Save yourself the hassle and your time.

Wish I had read reviews on Google and Unilocal before buying a living social coupon. It was a $ 100 living social coupon and when it was all said and done to secure a board that can come loose on a dormer window, took the guy about 30 min to secure the board, still cost me $ 220 They are a rip off please avoid this company

We hired Handyman Connection for our bathroom renovation. We checked the guys references and all were awesome. He must have given us friends and family, there is no way he could have had awesome references. As soon as the demolition began it was the beginning of our nightmare. They never put up plastic and the home was covered with dust, destroyed our carpet and had to have it replaced. The worse was the cut into the joist and now our bathroom floor is dropping and we have to tear it out and have it fixed. The tile was horrible, and a nightmare. They tried to fix it but just made it worse. DON’T USE THEM !!! THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED !!! They will destroy your home. We spent $ 18,000 and now have to spend $ 10,000 to repair all their damaged. They also cut under the main support for the home also and have to have that repaired, $ 3,000.

Oh, Unilocal,I swear by you for food, I am sorry I didn’t use you for painting. It’s odd that all of the negative reviews are hidden, but whatever.
I had a wonderful guy who was a crappy painter. He was a really nice guy, but I just had to ay another $ 2k to fix what he did for $ 1k. He got paint over every trim in my house.
On top of that? I requested that the owner, ANDY, come see the horrible job the painter did and he ended up firing the guy in my bedroom… in front of me!!! The painter ended up chasing me down the road asking me for my money!!!
Funny…I have been hesitating posting this for fear they would sue me for defamation, however, these are just the facts. I encourage you to ask them to paint your home and I encourage you to welcome them into your house… it is your choice.
I have since brought in MUSIC CITY PAINTERS, Kevin Lawson, and I would never use anyone else.
Perhaps if you need a deck stained or odd jobs done around the house, these might be your people, but I would not use them for a paint job.

I purchased a Groupon for 8 hours of handyman services from Handyman Connection. The guy who came out brought a helper and the two of them took turns pressure washing my deck. The helper left cigarette butts laying on the window sill and when my wife came home, our swimming pool ping pong table was broken. When I asked the contractor about it, he got defensive and rude and offered to further damage the table with the pressure washer to show me how he couldn’t have done it. He then reminded me of what a great deal I was getting and how he could have ripped me off. I ended up apologizing for accusing him of the damage, although I was really just asking about it, and he calmed down and went back to work. However, when he had me sign off on the bill and pay him, he told me he undercharged me by about $ 2000 and I was getting quite a deal. When he left, I walked around to the back of the garage to check out the job and noticed there was stain splashed on my already broken ping pong table.
At this point I called the owner and he said he would come evaluate the incident. He showed up and before he even took a good look said he didn’t know how stain could have ended up on the ping pong table. We had to line up the table to the line of stain in the grass to show him how it landed – it was like playing CSI, and he really didn’t seem to want to hear what we were saying. For the next week I played phone tag with him, and when he called me today, he told me that he had no way of knowing who was responsible for the ping pong table damage but he was «willing to give me the benefit of the doubt.» Then, he said he looked over the labor cost of the contractor and the 4 other people he brought out and said that I owed him another $ 1380 for the job that had been done and paid for already based on a signed estimate, and that he would take the cost of the ping pong table off of that.
Not only am I never, ever dealing with this company again, I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. This company is the reason people hate contractors.
PS On the other hand, Groupon was fabulous and refunded the purchase of this really crappy groupon for us and apologized for our bad experience.

I had these guys come over to pressure wash and stain my deck. I want to warn anyone about this company.
They did the job well enough (not great), but at a premium in terms of price. That would not have been so bad, except they damaged my property to the tune of $ 200. The owner eventually made an appearance over a week after our compaint, and proceeded to take notes and be super curt and rude, no resolution yet.
That STILL would not have been so bad, except for the contractor was so rude and obnoxious that I came home to my wife in tears, she was so upset. I would pay twice the amount to a company that would treat my property and my family with decency and respect. These guys do NOT.

We purchased a Groupon for handyman service several months ago. They came out to our house and patched a crack that was running through our ceiling. The paint he used to cover the crack is a completely different color than our ceiling. He did warn us that it might not be an exact match… but it is not even close. Our cream-​colored ceiling now has an enormous gray line running through it.
Since then, we have called several times to try to get him back out to paint the whole ceiling, even offering to pay for this additional work. It takes 2 phone calls to get a call back, and when he does call back and say he’s coming over, he never does… there have been at least 4 or 5 no-​shows. My husband and I both work from home and have a very flexible schedule, but every time he says he is coming to fix the problem, he just doesn’t show up or call.

I needed a light bulb changed… don’t laugh, it was 38 feet up. I thought there might be some electrical issue also. I did not have any way of reaching said light bulb as I did not have a ladder.
I was given a time the person would show up 2 & ½ weeks later, I went to the place (doing apartment managing) and waited and waited and waited. About 45 minutes later I got a call saying they were not coming out today as they were too busy. They asked if they could reschedule about a week out and I told them no.
