I’ve lived here for three years. The first two were great, but the past year was a disaster. When my lease ends in October, I’m blowing this pop stand. 1) Maintenance requests can take light years to fulfill. Two examples: 1) When trying to unlock my apartment, my key got stuck and half of it broke off in the lock. I could not unlock my apartment or remove the half key myself. When I called maintenance, I was told someone would arrive in 30 minutes. It took over 1.5 hours for somebody to arrive and an hour to fix the problem. 2) My bedroom and bathroom lights kept shutting off. When I flipped the breaker switch, it flipped back and shut off again. I was told by maintenance that they had to order a special part to permanently fix it. That was six months ago… I’m still waiting on that permanent fix. So, every few days, the lights flip off and it takes me standing at the breaker box flipping the breakers constantly like a weirdo for the lights to temporarily stay on. 2) Extremely unprofessional office staff. When I picked up a package from the office, a man was in there getting his hair braided by a woman {clearly unprofessional at a leasing office}, and they, along with a leasing agent, were making racist comments and laughing as if it was normal. The other staff are too busy using their cell phones instead of answering the office phone. 3) Parties all.the.time. Not just Thursday-Saturday night parties, but I’m talking turning up at 3AM on Wednesday nights, hearing creepy drunk shit in the hallway at all hours, people arguing, girls crying. That was fun in college, but not as a working adult. 4) The hallways can get disgusting. I’ve seen puke all up and down my hall, as well as a bloody tampon and poop {I’m hoping dog and not human}. Beer cans and bottles, fast food bags, cups, etc. have also been strewn across the hallway from time to time. For as much as I pay, I want it to look like a pristine palace. 5) Parking. People park their cars wherever they want. If socially acceptable, some people would literally park their cars into my freaking living room because they are too lazy to park a little ways from the door. …Otherwise, great location and walking distance.

I have lived for Eleven North for nearly a year now, and it has certainly been the worst housing experience of my life. The sign out front should more appropriately read, «Welcome to the World’s Largest Frat House!» Late parties, loud neighbors, beer bottles constantly strewn across the property — all part of the experience here at Eleven North. If you like the downtown feel, nothing like the constant noise of 11th Ave traffic and construction to ensure that, like the city of New York, you will never sleep. I’m fairly sure that the walls are made of a space-aged blend of tissue paper and plywood. The lounges, facilities, and other amenities are certainly enough to impress while on a tour, but what those tours don’t show you are the constant unavailability(due to crowds) and disrepair(crowds and use lead to lots of things being broken) that such places have to offer. You may be thinking, «oh, but I want to live near the Gulch!» Trust me — not worth it. Find a place in Woodbine and use the money you’re saving to take Über.

No other place to compare Sq. Ft., amenities, location & price. Pet friendly. Parking. It’s downtown. Staff has been accommodating and very professional at all times. Maintenance has also been swift and reassuring when needed. Again, location, location, location. Since I don’t need a car anymore, I relish Traffic Reports while I am two beers in to my «it’s 5 o’clock somewhere» mantra. Most are stuck on the Interstate. Safe, secure and a Metro Police Officer also lives here. Great guy, too. Wouldn’t go elsewhere in 37203.

Make sure you read the filtered reviews. I guarantee they’re accurate after living here for the last 8 months. Pool is never open, free coffee machines never have coffee, pet urine all over the building, poorly run management are just a few things. Read everyone elses take on the filtered section to see what I mean.

I have had nothing but problems since I got here mostly stemming from two things: 1. Poor communication between the management and the residents 2. Poor service 3. Bait and Switch Poor communication a. Putting a note on my door instead of this modern convenience called email resulted in: My not getting a note about my needing to go get a parking pass from the leasing office which led to my getting a bright green sticker stuck on my car window threatening to tow my car… which I registered with the leasing office when I arrived. b. Getting a note on my door the night before telling me they needed to access my apt to audit the water. Well I need more notice than that to find a dog sitter or dog daycare so I had to lock my poor dogs into my bedroom for 2 days while I was at work.(only during work hours not 2 days continuously) And there’s more, contact me directly if you are thinking of moving in here and I will be happy to give you the low down Poor Service: a. About 1⁄3 of the residents do not clean up their dog’s poop, yet they don’t hire anyone to clean the grounds so it’s teaming with poop and whatever diseases that poop carries. b. residents throw empty beer bottles and cigarette butts on the ground in front of the building and in the microscopic dog park. It’s never cleaned c. Stairwells are dirty and have not been swept since I got here. Bait and Switch a. We have Starbucks coffee… but we only refill it before events b. We have a coffee and hot chocolate machine… you should run over now and get some hot chocolate before it runs out because we only fill it once in a while and when it’s out it’s out c. You can print in our Internet community room… but bring your own paper because we are spending the paper money to print glossy monthly flyers that give you great tips on cooking and provide crossword puzzles for your enjoyment I wish I had never moved in here

Eleven North looks great on paper. As the previous reviewer said, the amenities are excellent and the location is good(although on the outskirts of the gulch). I experienced the same problem with my move-in date being pushed back. I emailed them 2 weeks ago and heard nothing, then emailed again a week ago, and finally someone got back to me and told me my unit wouldn’t be ready until September at the earliest. I was supposed to move in in 3 weeks, and since I need to be back for school the September date would be disastrous. The customer service has been horrendous. The staff have shown no sympathy, and blamed me for not realizing that the unit would not have been ready on time. The email I received about the delay was incredibly infuriating, asking how my day was going, casually mentioning the delay, and ending with a smily face. There was no mention of remedying the issue aside from offering to store my belongings. I don’t know what they expect the 95 displaced apartments to do in the meantime. AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS.
