ENCM is a wonderful resource for the East Nashville community. I have been going to their food pantry for the last few months. They allow you 3 boxes every 6 months. Be sure to bring your ID, Social Security Cards for each member of your household, and a proof of residence. But this is not just being handed a box kind of place.
ENCM’s food pantry is setup more like a small general store. They give you a shopping cart and you walk past the shelves choosing what you want (the amount varies, determined by your household size).
ENCM also serves meals at different times of the day. Check their web page for times. When the going gets tough, the ENCM is ready to help. They make you feel like a person, not a number.
