I came here based on the Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed! We came in from out of town for a wedding and wanted a place to get up-​dos for several of us. Robbie and his wife opened up the salon just for us and Brandy did an amazing job on all of our hair. She created a look that was unique and flattering for each person. They even treated us all to a foot spa treatment free of charge while we waited, and recommended a great place to eat nearby.

they should charge twice as much for a cut as they do! sergei took the time to consider my vision, whats on trend, and what was realistic (i had a grown out asymmetrical bob and bangs i cut after drinking a bottle of wine). i loved how much time he spent making sure his work was perfect and i was happy. very talent staff, wonderful salon.

Genuinely awesome job by Sergei (spelling that wrong), he was quick, took in my opinion and concerns and crafted me a serious look. I’m highly appreciative of his skill and professionalism. This is the place to go.

I needed a regular stylist in Downtown Nashville. I tried someone at the Rodney Salon on 6^th but he butchered my hair, took forever and charged $ 65. A friend recommended Bridgette and I am sold!!! She knew exactly what needed to be done with my thick, coarse hair to create a great short style. Thank you, Bridgette!

I had not had a haircut in an embarrassingly long time so I decided to make an appointment for a lunch break visit. I made the appointment an hour and a half ahead of time and they were super accommodating. My hair is not very manageable but in 30 minutes, they washed, cut, blew dry and straightened my hair. Then I walked around the rest of the day like I was in a shampoo commercial. My stylist was Jennifer who was very sweet and professional. I’ll definitely be back and absolutely would recommend them. Especially if you work/​are staying downtown and are looking for a convenient but solid place to get your hair done.

Rae. She is my go-​to girl for colour, cut, and style. I have complete trust that when I get out of chair, it will be the best cut I’ve had to date. She is a stylist with a passion for her craft, and is always up-​to-​date with the next trend to keep you looking your best. I have been a client of hers for over 5 years, and wouldn’t cheat on her with anyone. Whether you want a trim or a radical makeover or correction (cause you went somewhere else, like a fool), she will take care of you.

I had been going to Rae to get my hair done for years, and that didn’t change when she started working at DHS. I’ve seen her every month or so and she always does a great job. Highly recommended!

I was down in Nashville to see Umphrey’s McGee at the Ryman, and decided to pamper myself a bit before the show. I called and asked if there was anyone available to do my hair and makeup, and Sarah said she would be happy to fit me in in the next 15 minutes!
I rushed over to the salon (after getting lost and calling for directions) and Sarah got me right upstairs to get my hair washed. I was a little nervous about the blowout… I have EXTREMELY thick and coarse hair and usually getting my hair blowdried at a salon never goes well.
Sarah knew how to handle my hair type and honestly made my hair look the best it EVER has, soft, bouncy, shiny, and healthy! I felt like a million bucks when I walked out. She was sweet, friendly, and eager to give me pointers on what to check out in the city since I am a Nashville newb. I wish that I lived closer to this salon because everything about my visit was fantastic.

Bridgette is fabulous. Her color and cutting techniques are great. I highly recommend Downtown Hair Salon — and prices are very reasonable.
