Is it creepy that I recognized your stuff before you opened your boutique located inside Lucy Pop Salon? I have always been a huge fan, even when you worked across the street as Manuel’s right-​wing woman for the past 8 years. I am happy you went out on your own and your feathered, metaled, bedazzled treasures always leave me feeling a bit like a 18^th century Indian that just got back from an Aerosmith show at an underground venue. Does that make sense? I recently asked you to make me a custom medicine bag. What are you going to put on it? Will I look Ke$ha? Do you style her because I know you do have STARS that you style… Based on your swag, I’d like to be friends. Can we?

Just when I thought that my whimsical visits to Lucy Pop Salon couldn’t get any better… I meet the new broad in town. Darla The friggin’ Outlaw.
Tucked away in a newly revamped section of the salon is this brilliant little boutique that inject a little glam into your life at completely affordable prices!
The distinctive inventory includes reconstructed clothing, jewelry, and accessories that will ensure that your dance card is full… no wallflowers here.
The Nashville based designer spent nearly ten years as assistant designer to Manuel making custom embellished suits which explains her eye for detail and flair for accents. Her concept is to make «found items and typically trash worthy broken pieces into one of a kind high fashion yet affordable wearable art, two things that do not usually go hand in hand.»
Word up.
I ooohed and ahhhed my way through the room as I literally could have purchased nearly everything. I settled on some incredible oversized disc earrings and an adorable reconstructed jacket that was accented with little dangling chains in the shoulder area. I was elated with the $ 60 that I paid for both items!
If you are seeking an interesting yet beautiful outfit or accessories, this is a must stop as you won’t resemble anything like all the mallrats milling around.
TIP: The jewelry here is bananas… I have my eye on a resurrected pocket-​watch necklace that must be mine! Perfect for gift items… hint, hint.
