I lucked out with finding Tamara. She’s insanely talented and I don’t ever feel like just a client there. She’s been the only person to cut my hair in the 6+ years I’ve lived in Nashville.
Sure, it’s a little pricey and sometimes she’s running behind schedule. I’m completely fine with that as long as I get 30 mins with someone like Tamara who knows exactly what they’re doing.
If she did straight razor shaves, I’d be there every month!

So in the last 6+ years I have only ever gone to Candace for my hair (except for 2 times and I was in Seattle, WA). You find someone you love and you stick with them.
I will happily wait until she has time available and I will fake a «sick attack» for work to make sure I do not miss it!
She fixed me up for the first time before my 3^rd semester of nursing school and please believe me, I was a mess. She styled me for my nursing school pics, my blessed graduation, for special events, and for my recent wedding. She listens and advises expertly.
I adore her and would recommend her and her talented co-​workers at Ardon House any day.

YES YES YES! After 7 years in Nashville my hair has found a home. I have thick, straight non color treated hair. I’ve been many places in Nashville where a cut is just a «compliment to color». While that’s great and I’m sure Tamara can color she also takes cuts seriously. Tamara doesn’t take lazy short cuts with cutting. She really took her time, used different techniques (I don’t want to give her secrets away), and she cut my layers in very fine sections. She did EXACTLY what my type of hair needs. She listens, no seriously she listens, then she listens again, then she confirms she understood, then she suggests, then she confirms again, and finally she cuts. She is a hair genie so don’t go here because I don’t want to share.

Lisa is hands down, THE most talented hair stylist I have ever encountered. Her awesome skills, attention to detail and infectious energy keep me coming back here. The ambiance at Ardon House is unassuming & relaxed, yet classy. I recommend this salon, and Lisa, to anyone looking for a great stylist!

I like salons that feel a little private. Not too crazy. Not too much hubbub. Just a place to relax, have a nice conversation with a stylist who is friendly and who knows what she is doing.
Tamara is clearly a pro.
And she’s nice.
And her salon is comfortable.
What else do you want?
Oh, you want the ability to make reservations on the Internet and to pay for your haircut on an iPad?
Well, you can do that too at Ardon House so I guess they’ve got everything covered :)
ps — Parking in the lot behind the building can be tight. And I’m still not sure if the alley leading to that parking lot is 1-​way or 2-​way. Either way, it’s a little dicey. I’d suggest leaving a little extra time and maybe trying to find street parking.

Ardon House is a treat for your hair and spirit! I love Tamara (TimTam) as I like to call her! She has a real gift with color. I am a red head with a touch (a lot) of arctic blonde (gray) which she covers beautifully and matches perfectly. I especially like the shampoo washing chair which is very unique and comfortable. She is a busy Chica so call in advance and plan a fun time at Ardon Salon. P. S. Make sure your significant other is taking you out that evening, you will feel special (sexy)!

Ardon House Salon is THE salon I have been looking for since I moved to the Nashville area… wait…let me rephrase that… its THE SALON I’ve been looking for my entire life. Seriously. Tamara at Ardon House Salon came recommended to me by a couple of gal pals. one specifically who takes her hair VERY SERIOUSLY.
The Salon is located at the end of 18^th Street. right before the road intersects with Division. Upon walking in to the Salon, I was immediately greeted by name and told to enjoy anything in the fridge while she finished up. I was delighted to see all the choices and reached for the Sprite (although on my next visit I will definitely be pouring a glass of wine or some of that fancy bourbon!) The décor was fabulous. Ardon House is a small boutique style salon and decorated so lovely… lots of Woodsy elements, leather, and distinct character!
I was in the mood to switch things up a little bit… forgoing my standard long, straight and classic. to I dunno, something new? And that’s exactly what I told Tamara. I really didn’t have a picture to bring with me or a particular new «DO» in mind… I actually gave her «artistic creativity» to do her thing… aaaaand that’s A LOT of trust to put into a hairstylist. She of course washed my hair with some delicious smelling products and over to the chair we went… There are only two stylist chairs so you REALLY feel like you get that special one-​on-​one experience. A little while later I was smiling in the mirror at my new PERFECT cut. She NAILED it! I also felt like I had made a new friend in the process. We had some mutual acquaintances and our husbands are both in the «biz» so we had a fun, genuine conversation throughout!
5 stars cause that’s as high as Unilocal will let me go :-)

This place is AMAZING.
Now I’m not one those «I get my hair cut twice a year» kind of gals… I’ve been growing out my short cut this year (I get my hair cut and colored at least every 6 weeks) and Tamara has been my life saver! She cuts and colors my hair to perfection every time I visit and is always leaves my mane looking healthy and shiny.
I’ve even worked on photo shoots with Tamara and her work is nothing short of spectacular. If you want to talk to a genuinely nice person and get a great hair cut… Ardon House Salon is where it’s at!
