Absolutely the worst person you can entrust your dogs with. Derek is the owner, he cannot handle his business. Dogs are in crates every hour for a half hour. There are even dogs kept in crates ALL day wihout being able to play with others. Ive seen first hand, behind the scenes. WATER has been forgotten to be given to numerous dogs throughout an ENTIRE DAY. Food has been forgotten to be given, Medication has been forgotten in numerous occasions. Too many fights have occured between dogs. Some dogs cage fight, some have to be pulled out of their crates beause they are afraid. Sometimes there have been so many in daycare, they leave multiple dogs in supplies closets because they have no open crates available and no spare rooms. Our childrens (dogs) safety is not their first concern. Theres absolutely no fire escape plan. All dogs large and small are going to be shoved into a twelve by twelve area they have for the dogs to use the bathroom. That means little to big all dogs, all temperments will be together. The dogs are alone from 9pm-​6am. things happen, and their fishtank outlet is black and burnt… a hazard/​accident waiting to happen. This place is a joke. Please, if you care about your animals do not choose saltyclaws.

Brought my mini aussie here for the first time for a basic grooming after years of taking her to Pet’s Choice in Merrimack because they had increased the price on me a couple of times. Saltyclaws is very affordable compared to many other places. I would recommend confirming the quote given on the phone before the service so there are no surprises. (I’m glad I did and they happily confirmed the quoted price and stuck to it). The service took about an hour and a half which is very reasonable in my opinion. She came out nice and clean and fluffy and a couple of weeks later is still as soft as ever! One thing to consider is that the grooming station is very near the play areas for the daycare dogs and it can be very noisy, so nervous dogs may not be able to relax in this environment but otherwise I recommend and will be back.

New to the area, trying to find a new groomer for my dog I came across saltyclaws here on Unilocal… Called to get a last minute appointment to get my dog groomed and they were able to fit him in that afternoon. Super friendly staff and my pup looked and smelled great when I picked him up.

For the first time today I brought our 3 cocker spaniels to Salty Claws to be groomed. It was very easy to make an appointment and everyone was so friendly and willing to listen to how I wanted the pups to look. They were ready by early afternoon and looked absolutely wonderful! They were groomed exactly the way I requested and my happy «kids» were ready to return home to nap. The facility is so clean that it’s hard to imagine that dogs come every day to be pampered. I am so happy to have found Salty Claws!

We switched from another local dog daycare a few months ago and are so glad we did. The first thing you should notice is how clean the place is. They scrub the whole faciility every night. The staff is always professional and recognize that during drop off you need to move fast to get to work. Now the best part– we have two dogs, both high energy, but one is a special boy that needs constant attention. He is incredibly high maintanance, but you would never know it — the staff always welcome them both. 5 well deserved stars.

I brought my dog here in the last month and the the staff/​owner are extremely welcoming and friendly with dogs. Easy to get him signed up as long as you bring all the documents with you. My puppy couldn’t wait to come back the next day!
The prices they offer, the packages and the close location to Rt 3/​101A were the main reason i looked into this day care. I would highly recomend this place as a great way to have your dog get their energy out.

Saltyclaws offers an excellet boarding service and doggie daycare. Our pitbull puppy is extremely energetic and he has come home happy and tired anytime that we have sent him to Saltyclaws. The staff is so friendly and attentive. Our dog has food allergies (wheat) and they were extremely careful with his feedings and with his treats. We boarded him for the first time over Thanksgiving, and the staff gave me a full progress report everyday when I called. It’s comforting to know that they care about your pet just as much as you do.
