Lovering Volvo

Just bought my beautiful new XC90 from Lovering Nashua. I love the car — everything I was hoping it would be. And the sales experience was amazing from start to finish. Daniel went above and beyond any sales person I’ve ever worked with. He washed and vacuumed my old car when they checked it for a possible trade-​in, found me exactly the car I wanted, made sure I was completely comfortable with the features of my new car, and even picked me up from my bank down the street when I was stranded (long story)! I know that I can call him with any questions I have going forward. Amazing! Thanks, Daniel!

Either they used some bait and switch marketing online, or every car I liked just coincidentally happened to be sold or unavailable… I hate to think the worst, but 4 out of 4 is a pretty bad fail rate. When they provided really poor service over and over, I reached out to the owner to send him a fair and balanced account of my experiences. I waited 3 weeks to post this review to see if he would respond, but he did not. I see that many others have had great experiences here, and I don’t doubt it… I just did not have anywhere near a great experience. They were not at all service oriented, and I don’t spend tens of thousands of dollars without knowing I’m going to be taken care of if things go wrong.

Bought my Volvo back in June 2015 and the sales team was impeccable! I just brought my car in for a tire rotation yesterday, and just like the sales experience the service experience was impeccable! I will never go anywhere else!

After a horrible return to Ira Lexus in Manchester, I decided to go to Lovering Volvo. I’ve had Volvo’s my whole life, so I decided to stick with them due to their continued reliability and the service that Lovering always provides to their customers. So happy I stopped by, because I found the car of my dreams! Donna helped put me in a 2016 Volvo S60 CC. She was exceptional and Scott made the finalization painless. There was absolutely no pressure and other dealerships should take note of Lovering’s concepts. Thank you guys so much for helping me find an awesome car!

Just bought a Volvo from Lovering in Nashua. This is a great place to buy a car. Donna, Scott and Rick made the process very easy, no pressure, and fast. They went out of their way to locate the car we wanted with the exact color and options we were looking for at a great price. Love the car!
This is hands down the nicest, least pressure dealership I have ever dealt with. Nice people. Great car. Our first Volvo and we are really enjoying it.

Lovering Volvo in Nashua is wonderful. A completely comfortable buying experience. I had purchased a C70 from Lovering last year. While the car was fun to drive, it just ended up not suiting my life style. I traded it in a few weeks ago and leased a 2015.5 XC60. I can tell you the experience was very positive. Everyone (my sales rep, Jeremy Hicks, the sales manager, Scott Allerheiligen, Rick Lovering, Bill the «numbers» man, and Paul) made this a very positive experience. Between myself and my friend, we have purchased 5 Volvo’s and each time we have received star quality service. I highly recommend Lovering of Nashua for quality service and product! I love my XC60!

There’s no question that this crew is friendly and helpful — I’m fond of them all, esp. Tony — but my C70 has been there three or four times with nagging electrical problems (surely the worst kind), and I am left with the sad conclusion that their team just can’t troubleshoot effectively.
Once it was «I can’t find anything» — a second time, «well, we tried all sorts of things, but then we re-​flashed the computer and the problem stopped, so even though we didn’t have a root cause we called it good» — the third time, «well I finally put our shop foreman on it» (finally?!?) «and after trying everything he could think of, they called the Volvo support line and found one similar case in service history, blah blah blah, kinked wire.»
I’m not entirely bitter about the experience — I got a free loaner, the folks were pretty apologetic, friendly, etc. But, at the day, I was (am) out two or three grand, for parts and labor which probably didn’t all stem from the true problem, and, worse, I have little faith the crew could find/​fix similar or recurring issues in the future. My trust is badly tarnished.
To summarize: good people, good easy-​going sales staff, generous help + loaners. But avoid like the plague for parts/​repair unless it’s simple X-​mile maintenance.

My husband took my xc90 in for a full service on Saturday and from what I can tell, the service seems to have been done properly, but I was seriously disappointed that the car didn’t come back very clean. The inside back hadn’t been vacuumed at all and the wheels still had some black grease on them. Some of it came off on my finger when I touched it, so I don’t think it would have been too much effort to spray and wipe the wheels down as a courtesy.
My husband had also bought and prepaid for new winter floor mats, of which one was on back order. When I went in on Thursday to pick up the mat, I had a sleeping toddler in the back and couldn’t leave the car. When I pulled into the service area, I sat for at a least 10 min before anyone came to the car and greeted me to see why I was there. There were 4 people in the office I could see standing there and only one other customer but not one person acknowledged me. The man cleaning (ironically the wheels of the car next to me) stopped over and told me I had to go inside for help. I told him I didn’t want to leave my child and could he please send someone out, which he did — after-​all, the mat was already paid for so I just don’t think it should have been so difficult or inconvenient for me. The man who installed the remaining floor mat was friendly but didn’t even offer to vacuum under it before snapping it in, which also would have been nice. When I mentioned the wheels, he didn’t offer to clean those either.
I guess I’m a bit spoiled because the Volvo dealer in Dallas, Texas where I bought the vehicle always greeted me at the car immediately upon arrival and returned my car in a spotless condition regardless of the service done.
I really just expected more from Lovering and I’m sorry to say I am disappointed in the customer service.

On Saturday, I purchased my fourth Volvo from Lovering, it has now been 11 years for me and it is the only Volvo dealership I would ever consider. For the past 11 years, my sale rep has been Paul Chapman. Dealing with Paul has been nothing but a pleasure, he is a standup guy, honest and to the point. Paul has decided to step down from Sales but that did not stop him for personally calling me when he knew I was looking for a new car. When I started looking I was considering a Mercedes or another Volvo. Paul convinced me to stay with Volvo and Lovering. I am happy he did, my new S80 is sharp and a great performing vehicle. Also being a customer of Lovering for 11 years, I have had many interactions with the service department and happy to report they are professionals at what they do and I have never had an issue or concern about the service my Volvo’s got from the service department. Paul has trained a new sales guy Jeremy Hicks to replace him, Jeremy has a good style about him but it will take some time for him to become Paul. Also, I would have to mention Rick Lovering, he oversaw my last 2 purchases and was a pleasure to deal with. Finally Bill Dourvis, the finance manager completed my positive experience with Lovering.

Just got my pre-​owned Nissan vehicle via this dealer. Although the one I got was not Volvo, the service and the treatment I got was pretty good. I would recommend Amy to work with. She is nice, welcoming and friendly.
Ted the manager was also very co-​operative and my overall experience was very good. For my next purchase I am surely try to get something here… Thanks.

My wife and I bought a car from Lovering Volvo Nashua in the last 3 days and I have to say it was the easiest car buying experience I’ve ever had. The sales manager, Sara went above and beyond (stayed late) answering all our questions, the Executive Manager Rick Lovering was a pleasure to do business with and I swear that Ted and I are close friends now.
I would recommend this dealership for anyone who wants to feel part of a family.
