We were here in October for a friend’s wedding reception. Now I know not all of the credit can go to just the venue(waitstaff, etc) but I think this was the most wonderful wedding I had ever been to. The venue itself was just gorgeous both in the day and at night. The couples pictures by the ocean right outside the towers came out breath taking. Before the reception we had a cocktail hour outside on the outside patio. There was lots of space to mingle and also to check out the scenery. Inside was amazing. The ambiance of that place was incredible. The bride and groom had 75 people and it was just big enough. I don’t think you could have much bigger of a wedding there without it being too cramped. Large enough dance floor and windows everywhere to see outside to the ocean. Off of the dance floor was a balcony over looking the ocean. I am having a wedding in the near future and did go online after to check out their rates. They seemed very very reasonable. I consider this to be a dream wedding location. I would highly recommend it.

Constructed 1883 — 1886, The Towers was once a part of the Narragansett Pier Casino a large resort that attracted many visitors in the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. Although the Casino building was destroyed The Towers survived more than a century of hurricanes, fires and Northeasters. the Towers were restored«recently» and now are the sight of dance lessons, concerts, parties, fundraisers, weddings, commencements and other gala celebrations. It seats 200, has a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean as well as the mouth of the Narragansett Bay, The Pier Beach, Jamestown and Newport shores. I have personally attended a church tea party here, a family wedding as well as a Christmas celebration in the past. The ocean breeze can be experienced on the balcony that overlooks the Coast Guard House as well as the ocean. You can view The Wall that parades down Ocean Road past what once was the grounds of many of the great hotels of «The Gay Nineties». The view is magnificent. Salt water aficionados can do no better than to come to this beautiful property when planning a special event. If you do plan on coming here to plan any kind of event know that my niece reserved this building a year in advance to have her reception here as well as my sister-in-law. The Towers website has many events that are planned around as well as in The Towers. Today I took a tour of Narragansett on Ted Wright’s Trolley! Ted Wright himself drove the trolley! A person of history driving a piece of history showing us Narragansett history! Unparalleled! The events range in price from free to expensive. I missed Len Cabral’s excellent storytelling FORFREE this past Monday! There is a bit of history in pictures and a small shop downstairs in one leg of The Towers. The other legs is occupied by Narragansett’s Chamber of Commerce. Visit their website first then call for details. A wonderful woman named Vivian answers and is the only person dealing with The Tower’s events planning so be patient. She has an email address also if you need to be detailed with questions.
