Established in 2015.

I started 5 years ago making my goats milk ice cream and peanut butter banana biscuits for my dog Cootie. Searching and finding healthy dog treats was a challenge and so I decided to «I can do this better «! We launched our official business last fall and opened a brick and mortar store front Oct 1 2015.

After spending the last 18 years working at the worlds #1 sports medicine company in Naples I decided it was time to do what I had dreamed of for many years. First, I became a certified dog trainer and then started researching and creating (in my kitchen) the highest quality dog treats. The dog training gave me a greater understanding of the canine physical and mental health and how good wholesome food plays a role in their lives. Plus being around dogs all day and understanding body language helps to create a positive relationship. Now my day is filled with creating new recipes for dogs that are healthy and passing along information to my customers how food affects their dogs. My hope is, customers come to my store and leave feeling good about the treats they buy here knowing their dogs are # 1 here at Smilin’ Dog Bakery!
