I cannot say enough nice things about this resort. I stayed there with 10 of our family members. It was very affordable to have four rooms. All of the rooms are updated with brand new bedding, brand new carpet mattresses etc. The hotel has a very quaint décor and very family friendly and inviting. I love the layout of the rooms on the interior with a very open style but they also have little bungalows out by the marina that looked nice too. From the moment we walked in, the hotel staff could not have been nicer. The woman at the desk named Maureen was such a pleasure to deal with all weekend. She was so accommodating for everything we asked. We were able to check in early and check out later. The continental breakfast was perfect for a quick bite on the go. They had everything that are large family would need such as bagels, waffles, cereal, fruit, and hard-boiled eggs. They have a great billiard room and gym on the second floor which was perfect for those rainy days and trying to accommodate children. The big screen TV in the pool room was great also. The pool is as amazing as it looks in the pictures. Its big so even if there is a lot of people it is accommodating for all. The marina being in the back of the hotel is beautiful. It is nice to take a stroll and walk around and see all the boats and manatees in the marina. Having the marina store nearby was a great treat as well. This hotel was very clean the people were friendly and it was a great place to have a labor day vacation with our family. I see in the reviews people were complaining that it is far from Naples or Marco Island, but there is no need to even go into the town when you’re here at this resort to relax. Plenty of things to do for family such as charters boat rides they had karaōke on Saturday and music every night. Very family friendly. We will definitely return to this great resort. And we can’t thank the staff enough for such a great Labor Day vacation especially Maureen at the desk.

I can’t speak to the hotel/resort part of Port of the Islands, as our family owns a condo here, which is where we spend our time. However, the grounds are always well-maintained, the marina staff is nice, and the pool is always clean and taken care of. Port of the Islands IS kind of in the middle of nowhere, admittedly. It’s closer to Everglades City and Marco Island than it is to downtown Naples. It’s an easy drive into Marco or Naples, but it isn’t just up the street. It’s perfect for us because we go out during the day, but are often content to be back at home for the evening, but if you’re the kind to spend late evenings out, be prepared for a dark drive home.

Nice get away, close enough to Naples for activities and far enough to get away from the city and enjoy a night watching the stars, pool side sun bathing and escaping from the stress of work. Will be coming back soon try some of the fishing, I saw a private charger come in with plenty catch!

Remote, beautiful, clean, updated, great marina. Spectacular lobby. Warning. No food or bar or store. You’ve got to bring it with you. Very strange, because this is a large community. Tennis and pool, nothing else. But it would be special for a catered group meeting, retreat. Just makes no sense to be so isolated and have no facilities. Anyhow, we used it as a base for our boat trips. The problem is it is on a 3 mile long canal to get to the Gulf, which takes over an hour due to manatee speed restrictions. There is an excellent gun skeet club across the highway. The rooms are excellent and the meeting rooms also. Just no bar or food and the long canal. I’m rating it on the comfort, beauty, and cleanliness

If you’re looking to get away from all civilization this is the perfect place. You wont find anything for MILES&MILES! It appears to be an old hotel based on the décor, but no odd or funny smells. Everything seems to close very early at 6PM I highly doubt I’d return here much less to Naples.
