If you like olive oil, this is the place to check-​out. They have a huge variety of different oils. You can buy them in 3 different size bottles. The store is pretty cool to check-​out or you can buy their products online.

Amazing! The best oil store I’ve been to. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. I feel at home every time I walk into this store. I wish I could bring one of everything home with me.

Everyone is always talking about healthy eating and how olive oil is so good for you. My problem was always how boring or heavy tasting most olive oils are when you buy them from, say, the grocery store. Twisted Olive is AMAZING!!! I totally have a new appreciation for olive oil and its ability to flavor just about anything. With flavors like roasted garlic, bacon, and chili (I think I just created a great flavor combo there), I find myself coming into this wonderful taste destination at least twice a month.
And I now know what to do with balsamic vinegars. I didn’t even know they came in white! I got to try their white lemon balsamic mixed into some mint flavored water… it put my normal «water with lemon» to shame AND vinegars are really good for your digestive system, too, so I felt über happy and refreshed. I am SO happy Twisted Olive exists!

When someone imports a (fig) balsamic that is so delicious, you wake up and the first thing you think of is that you want to eat a salad OR you give your kids the choice between pizza or a spring mix strawberry feta cheese salad w/​the fig balsamic and they unanimously choose the spring salad over the pizza, you know you haven’t found just any balsamic. Slightly sweet and fruity, I could pour it into a shot glass and down it by itself.
Nobody should be buying balsamic or olive oil at the grocery store if they live nearby. When it’s situated with a parking garage right behind it, it’s not even out of the way. And trust me, the grocery store is not importing anything that’s this good.
Every holiday season, my husband asks me to figure out what to give his co-​workers. –Something unique and personal. I stress for weeks! This year, it’s in the bag! Bottles of both fig balsamic vinegar paired with Twisted Olive’s rosemary extra virgin, complete with my own loaves of artisan bread. A guaranteed hit when they always want my bread. Only my bread just got insanely better.

Some of the best specialty olive oils and balsamic vinegars I have ever tasted! They always have new interesting flavors, and tried and true favorites. I cannot live without their 25 year aged balsamic, and it’s very reasonably priced! Customer service at the store is stellar.

It’s official. I will never look at EVOO the same way again.
Who knew there could be so many delicious olive oil flavors?! I’m talkin anything from bacon infused, to jalapeño, to orange and even chocolate! Just fabulous. My life is forever changed. The cooking possibilities are endless…
But it doesn’t stop there! These oils and balsamic vinegars are not just for cooking. I learned you can totes drizzle it on things like popcorn and ice cream and your taste buds will jump for joy! I basically now have the power to kick everything I eat up a notch. They even had sample brownie bites that were baked using blood orange olive oil. Oh yeah, that’s the stuff. Sweet sweet delicious treat.
Twisted Olive sells other items as well; craft beer, gift baskets, sauces, cooking utensils. Let’s just say I have a ton of Christmas gift ideas for my fam this year.
The guy that was working when we came in greeted us immediately. He was super helpful in explaining where we can find the sample cups, how to taste test the oils, and what we can use as dippers. Then a woman (who may have been one of the owners?) asked if she could help us with anything as well. Both were very personable.
I can’t wait to go back and buy a bunch of goodies :)

I didn’t know this place even existed until one day I went to a farmers market in lisle and samples one of their balsamic white peach olive oils. Omg divine! I had to come back. so the next time I was in the Naperville I had to swing by! Their selections, mainly olive oils and vinaigrettes are varied and many. So good. Plus they do sell some beer as well. Prices are kind of expensive but it’s a great gift item, or something extra nice to have at home.
Two tips: if it’s your first time, you can take home a tiny tiny sample size bottle of any oil or flavor of choice. Ask the workers there about it.

After breakfast this morning, we decided to take a little walk to find the Twisted Olive. I’ve heard about it before and love samples, plus they had a Check-​In Offer (BOOM!)
So our walk ended up very short, finding the Twisted Olive down an alley behind some storefronts on Washington. It is a little hard to find, but there are plenty of signs basically telling you «Follow the Yellowbrick Road.»
Walking in, I felt like I was in Long Grove. The shop was decorated perfectly, a mix of Tuscany and Shabby Chic. One wall was lined with specialty oils and that’s where I headed first. I sampled a few olive oils but nothing tickled my fancy. The variety is amazing and I’m sure there’s something for everyone.
I decided to try a few balsamic vinegars, but again nothing won me over. I discovered on a table though, some crostini’s with goat cheese. They had me at goat cheese. To the side were a few balsamics to drizzle over the crostini’s. I chose the 25 year aged balsamic and man was that a great choice. I fell in love and knew that would be my purchase. It was a perfect thick consistency with the sweet notes of balsamic. I can’t wait to try it out. The 5 oz. bottle retailed for $ 11.95 and I don’t think that’s bad for balsamic of that quality. They have other over-​priced specialty items like the crostini’s, craft beer, wine, pestos and other food items but like I said over-​priced. I’ll be back here for sure to try out more samples and enjoy the cute atmosphere.

I stumbled upon this place by accident and I am so glad I did. I was taking a short cut from the parking garage next to Barnes and Noble to get to BD’s and I found at least three hidden stores that you cant see from Washington street. Twisted Olive, being one of them, is awesome! You are immediately greeted with smiling faces and if you have never been in there before, they will give you a tour of the store and some background history of their products.
Every wall in the store was lined with olive oil and balsamic vinegar infused with a variery of different flavors. Garlic, cherry, blueberry, sage, chocolate, jalapeño… and the list goes on. You can sample everything! They have bread for the oils and crackers for the balsamic. One of the employees gave me a small cup of ice cream and told me to try it with the apple balsamic. I was skeptical at first because I put that stuff on my tomato, basil, and mozzarella, not my desserts. I tried it — and I fell in love. What a neat idea!
Aside from the oils and vinegar, they sell bottles of wine and other nice little goodies. It is very clean, cozy and quaint. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They dont care if you try everything on the shelves and walk out with nothing. They are just happy you’re there. The prices were also really great for such unique products that you probably couldn’t find elsewhere. It’s too bad it’s in a poor location that you can’t see from the main roads. Now you know about it, so check it out and give ‘em some business! :-)

Oh man. My husband and I were trying to take a short cut through an alley to the parking deck where our car was, and lo and behold… this little gem popped up in the back of the alley. Don’t worry, it’s not «that alley» that you won’t be caught dead in after dark. Oh no. This is cute and warm and inviting. We were greeted promptly and the process was explained: taste some either by sipping your paper cup (it’s very small) or use some of the sliced bread. There is a little couch and coffee table area where you can drink your free (yes, free) hot chocolate (heck. yes.).
Anyway, we tried a few and settled on the 25yr Balsamic Vinegar, the Sun-​dried Tomato with Parmesan and Garlic Olive Oil, and the Garlic Cilantro Balsamic Vinegar. They were all amazing. Buy these as gifts or for grilling or salads. As for us, we made cheese ravioli, used a few drops from each bottle (that Balsamic Vinegar was quite thick!)… okay, maybe a bit more than a few drops… and drizzled this over the ravioli which rested on top of salad leaves. Oh man, it was so delish. Can’t wait for us to try these on something else!

I just stopped in here looking for a few gifts. I love how you can sample the different olive oils and balsamic vinegars.
I had gotten some herb infused EVOO as a gift a while ago from here and I loved it. Now this is something I would never would have bought for myself, but I use this ALL the time. It just adds a little something extra to your cooking, and therefore, my husband thinks my dinners are extra tasty. I am a regular here just to stock up on that.
I am always greeted by the employees who are always willing to help. This is definitely a great place to look for gifts and some gift baskets. I found a couple things tonight and was able to get it gift wrapped. These aren’t typical gifts either, it is really something people will use and shows that you have put some thought into it.
This place is tucked away in the back of an alley, but if you park in the LL parking garage, it is super close. (It also happens to be next door to my hair salon, so I usually pop in when I’m already over there).
They also have some wines, but I didn’t take too much time in that area. When I’m here, I’m looking for something unique that I can’t get at a grocery store.
If you are looking for a gift for a cook, a foodie, or something a little more rare and uncommon — you must check this place out!

Oh my goodness, the merchandise and service are superb here! I walked in for the first time to buy an infused oil for myself and one as a gift, and I was immediately attended to and encouraged to try their numerous oils. The staff was attentive without hovering. One man even brought me a teeny cup of ice cream to try with a rich balsamic! Amazing!
AND THEN, when I was checking out, they gave me a free, small balsamic (any flavor my heart desired) just for being a new customer. I was (pleasantly) taken aback by how nice and welcoming the staff was to me. I’ll definitely come back.
They also had free, delish hot chocolate for passers-​by. outside the store. The Twisted Olive is simply delightful!

This place is well worth the visit. The walls are lined with olive oils and balsamic vinegars that you didn’t know you needed. You’ll leave wondering how you did without.
There are SO many flavors, but have no fear. There’s always someone nearby. Someone patient, long suffering, who is willing to walk you through. Give you a personalized tour, if you will, of the many flavors and even suggest some pairings.

Ever gone to one of those restaurants that puts out Olive Oil with a fresh, warm bread? These guys will sell you the oil that you want to do that with.
Picked up a little bottle of an herbed flavor (I can’t remember what it’s name was) with my wife, took it home and immediately went to work on it with warm left over Olive Garden breadsticks that we toasted in oven. Such a treat.

I never thought I’d say this, but… Move over Molly McButter! Mama’s got a new popcorn topping of choice.
I’ll be the first to admit I’m a terrible cook, but I’d like to tack on an addendum noting that I hate cooking and that I don’t care that I’m terrible at it because it works out better for me when no one asks anything of me in the kitchen department.
Up until my visit to Twisted Olive, an olive oil boutique tucked away along an alleyway in downtown Naperville, I never really had a need for olive juice beyond gifting the good of the Gods to people I hoped would use it to cook for me.
I came in here on my usual MO, a gift for a loved one, but ended up finding a variety of goods for myself, not the very least of which was their craft beer and mixed 6-​pack offerings. At first I was just looking for gifts, but then Steve, one of the owners in the husband and wife duo that runs the shop, came around and gave me a sample of ice cream and suggested topping it with one of the balsamics. Ice cream and balsamic? Whodathunk. The chocolate balsamic was an obvious choice, but I went with the garlic cilantro because I like things weird… and it was, but again, that’s how I like ‘em. Consider me sold!
What was Steve’s next best suggestion for the other non-​chefs out there like me? Popcorn! Drizzle some oil on already popped popcorn and BLAMMO! Exponentially better. And he wasn’t kidding! I bought the mushroom and sage and it turned my Orville Reddenbacher into a 5-​star meal.
I’d say that overall, the prices were on point with other indie olive oil shops in Chicagoland, but the flavors far out-​shined other shops in the non-​traditional section as well as the quality of flavor. I’ve tried olive oils at other places where I felt like I had to struggle to taste the flavor the label suggested, but here, everything was bolder, better and clear as day.

There was such a massive selection, I couldn’t decide!
I ended up getting the roasted garlic olive oil and I loved it! I actually put it on my air-​popped popcorn that I make at home and it was delicious! Also great on salads! This place has TONS of options of infused olive oil and everything goes by weight so its very affordable. Definitely check out this unique little spot!

After walking past this place for 2 years, I decided to stop in. So here I am a virgin shopper stopper in a store full of virgin olive oils. Did that come out right? Anyway, the husband and wife owners warmly welcomed me and then tried to educate me. They worked with me and invented a wonderful gift basket, well, it is not really a basket it is really a platter, that can be used year round and filled it with goodies and then shrink wrapped it so it can go directly under the tree. It is a party on a platter, as far as I am concerned.
In addition to the oils they have a few wines, pasta, pesto, crackers (they actually have a fancy name that escapes me at the moment), dipping dishes, dipping bowls, see what I mean? One stop shopping.
If you have the opportunity stop in, the flavor combinations of the oils are wonderful.

I had no idea this place was here! It’s like Naperville’s hidden treasure! It’s one of the shops hidden behind the shops on the main strip. If we hadn’t seen the sign sitting out on the main drag and followed it down, behind all the shops, between the parking garage… There it was nestled! A little drip of oil and vinegar heaven so close to us!
I love being able to taste test things before purchasing them! It seems strange to taste oils and vinegars, but you get the flavor that’s been infused without anything else preventing you from tasting it! It gives you ideas of what you could make with it such as recipes, marinades, dressing, etc. that are just waiting for your creation!
The service was great! They didn’t mind that there were 4 of us coming in after dinner. They were more than happy to offer us samples and ideas for use. They were also quite pleased when we expressed that we liked certain flavors. We left with some of our favorites to use at home, of course! We will definitely be back to keep a new favorite local business alive!

Expensive but fascinating if you’re a big fan of fancy olive oils, balsamic vinegars and wine. Located off the main street in what looks like a cobblestone alley between buildings, you might have a hard time finding this place. The inside looks like the interior of a house converted into a store. Not crowded with products and plenty of space to walk around, this is a boutique for fancy flavors of oils you never thought existed.
OK, I’m the guy who spends no more than $ 5 on a liter for Extra, super-​duper, hymen-​intact, virgin olive oil, so the $ 16.50 going rate for most of the oils came as a shock. However, in their defense, you won’t find these oils anyplace else. First, there’s regional «basic» olive oils from Italy, Greece and Spain, where the soils and growing conditions affect their flavors. I was able to taste them side by side and noticed an immediate difference. I never considered olive oil like a fine wine connoisseur until today.
The store manager showed me around and there was garlic-​infused oil, jalapeño-​flavored, and so many other varieties that it got my head spinning. Each oil has its own cask and you fill a bottle from a dispenser on it. There were also the wide variety of balsamic vinegars, also at $ 16.50 a bottle. There were recipe cards posted on a board for some things to try with the oils and vinegars they carry.
My taste isn’t that fine and I didn’t buy anything, but I felt more educated after leaving the store and appreciated the time that the manager spent showing me the flavors and letting me sample some of the finest oils from around the globe.
