I received Rob’s name from a co-​worker that had a bathroom done & absolutely loved it. I’m quite the perfectionist & am always skeptical about contractors. I had some repairs to my ceiling & other minor work. The work was amazing, prices are right, make certain you are satisfied, clean up afterwards & are polite !! I will use them again & again.

We have now used Rob and his team for several projects around our house. He clearly cares about his quality of work and ensures that the job is done right and looks great. Plus, his prices are reasonable. His communication with us throughout our projects is phenomenal, which makes all the difference in the world. We will gladly use him and his team at Tried & True again.
Two major projects that Rob has done for us are replacing our basement windows and building a new deck on the back of our house. Both turned out beautifully and we couldn’t be happier.
When we first moved in to our home, the basement windows desperately needed to be replaced. I called him for a quote and left a voicemail. He was out of town with family and still called back immediately to let me know that he received my request and would get to it first thing when he returned. He did, had a very competitive price and did a wonderful job replacing the windows (which included some major rust removal from our old metal frames!). We went from major bugs and breezes to a completely air-​tight and comfy basement! Not to mention keeping a very clean and tidy work space. This project caused major dust and he made sure to put plastic down everywhere to keep my entire house clean. He does the job as if it was in his own home.
Rob and his team also built a beautiful deck off the back of our house. We gave him a creative project to use some existing materials that we already owned and to create a deck out of what we had. He came up with a perfect design and did ALL of the leg work with the city to get the permits and design approved. City permits are a painful process and Rob did and AMAZING job keeping us updated through every single twist, turn and waiting period until we were finally ready to break ground. For a project that takes a few weeks, his team was at our home daily and was extremely courteous. Again, they kept a clean and tidy work space and I felt very comfortable being home with my young daughter. The attention to detail in their work was phenomenal and the team worked extremely hard to build us a beautiful and sturdy deck. (We joke that you can come to our house and hold on to our deck during a tornado… this thing isn’t going anywhere!) They were even willing to do quick brainstorming to change the design of our steps off the deck during the project to ensure that we had the perfect result in the end. We are so happy with the deck and every single stage of building passed city inspection with flying colors.
If you are looking for a quick and dirty fix of something, Rob may not be your guy because he is going to take the time to do the project right… just the way we want it. We will absolutely be using Tried and True for projects in the future.

When our basement flooded, I went into a panic. What should I do? Who should I call? Within the day, we realized we would need to rip out the carpet and take off some of the dry wall. But I had no idea how to do that.
Enter: Rob Estoll. He lives in my neighborhood and comes highly recommended by everyone I’ve talked to. Even in the midst of a packed schedule and tight deadlines, he found time to stop by and advise us… and even loan us a few tools for the ripping out process.
When it was time to rebuild, he brought his crew in and got to work. His prices are reasonable and the guys he has working for him are hard working, courteous, and respectful. With three young kids at home, i’m not always comfortable having men working in my house while my husband is at work, but these men put me immediately at ease. Even our dog loved them, wagging his tail every morning when they arrived!
And can I just say they did an amazing job on our basement? It looks ten times better than it did before. They smoothed out our drywall, replaced the ceiling and lighting, and did an impeccable job painting. And they cleaned up every scrap of the mess before they left… even taking the garbage with them!
I will not hesitate to call Tried and True Services again. The only problem with having such a beautiful basement is that now I want them to come and remodel every room of my house!
