IS IT IN THE BALLPARK???
I was thinking if I was going to write a review on this business as I hadn’t done ” «business with them, other than planning on doing a custom piece, after contacting several other local respected jewelers I decided I would. (this is just a true a honest review of what I find to be very disappointing.))
I had high expectations, as I was searching for someone to make a pendant, a hoshen necklace 12 tribes, this was a 2inch wide with 12 semi precious and precious stones, with some Hebrew lettering on both sides. I was happy to speak with the store manager Jennifer, she was very helpful, and was on time with all the emails. I want to say upfront I am not cheap, nor stupid, I prior to contacting this company contacted 2 other respected jewlelers, there prices were 1500.00, and one was 1800.00 I felt I would give one more quote, Jennifer comes with her right on time email, saying quote ball park figure 6 – 8000.00???
I couldn’t wait to contact her the next day to see if we were indeed matching the comparisons.
I received the cold shoulder, I also asked how we could get the price down to the others, she mentioned no ideas…, she explained to me, that the others were not doing the same as they would. She even went as far as to say, I was getting upset? Not at all was I upset, I was amazed that she thought I knew so little about what I was going to purchase most of the 12 stones are easy to get and not that expensive while 4 stones are precious a FAIR price is below 2500.00, so the 6 – 8000 ball park was ridiculous. When she proposed I was upset I said not at all, I could hear her getting defensive, on my questioning such a ridiculous price, anytime you say «custom work» people think you have deep pockets. be carefull… ms Jennifer was so flabbergasted from our short talk, that she didn’t even know or remember how to tell me to have a nice day. I would not from a «first impression» do business with these people. I have since then contacted 2 more jewelers.
And again no where near that 6 – 8000 range for pendant… that didn’t even include the chain… I was suggested by another jeweler some places do this to discourage themselves from working on a piece like this, although there is no truth to that in THIS situation, it is certainly plausible…
I think ill shop around. its not just about price, but really lets stay in the ballpark…

iRare indeed is it that I have ever had such superlative service as that received by the friendly and courteous staff at the Diamond Gallery of Naperville! From the moment we walked in everyone from the owner on down listened, and worked to help us. I would highly recommend them. I know I’ve found the only jeweler I’ll ever need!

After having been burnt by the chain jewelry stores, I decided to stop in at the Diamond Gallery of Naperville. Even though I wasn’t buying an expensive piece and it was near closing time, the owner and staff went above and beyond in helping me select a nice gift. I’ve found my go-​to jeweler for all of my future diamond purchases. I would highly recommend this merchant for selection, trustworthiness and above all, outstanding service!

I came in here after visiting a few other jewelers and mall-​chain stores. I ended up getting what I wanted here, a diamond band as an upgrade for my solitaire. They took my diamond from my solitaire engagement ring and set it in the setting I picked out, and took only 3 days. I definitely recommend this place. Anna was the rep I worked with and she’s great.

I shopped for an engagement ring for my girlfriend for over a month. I visited at least 10 different jewelry stores. I went to the bigger chain stores (Jared, Kaye, Rogers and Hollands) and i even visited several privately owned stores like the Diamond Gallery. I must say that among the privately owned stores the Diamond gallery was the nicest looking store and also seemed to have the most variety of ring styles available. According to my Fiancé I tend to be difficult to deal with when I shop for larger purchases… This may be true but I wanted this to be perfect! I visited Anna at this location several times while making my decision. She was very patient with me and extremly helpful throughout the entire process, And I strongly recommend seeing her when you are shopping for a ring. When it came time to actually purchase the ring I spent a couple hours with Anna and Kevin the owner looking at several different diamonds. When I walked out of the store that day I was very confident I purchased a quality product at a very fair price! I also want to thank both of them for getting me the ring in time for our trip (where i proposed) the ring we picked out had to be custom ordered and then they had to set the diamond, they were able to get all of that done in just a few days which was awesome!

I bought a gold necklace heart pendant here a little over a year ago. Biggest mistake of my life… the lady told me it was gold but the gold washed off almost immediately. I thought I was getting a deal for Valentines day. The lady was thorough and assured me that it was real gold. It took me a while to decide because at the time $ was alot. Turns out I’m the chump. I was driving a cab and going to school at this time every penny counted… Way to business guys not only had my girlfriend not stopped asking me how much I really payed for the cheap POS you sold me but she won’t even wear it. Please whatever you do don’t buy anything from here. They are obviously liars and cheats. Apparently turning a profit is more important then customer satisfaction. Who ever that lady was I hope you lose you job shame on you. To the owner… I’m happy I know where not to go because I’m now engagement ring shopping. That’s around 40 grand that I will be taking else where. Screw you. I called to complain and asked for the Manger after getting aggrieved on the phone the owner grabbed the phone and didn’t even let me get a word out. He loves the sound of his own voice. good job buddy I don’t need the money I just wanna let you know you are a jag off who doesn’t care about customers. Go «tailspin» you self off the high way.

The store is not very impressive. The owner was a little obnoxious, but all of the ladies were very helpful.

I recently got engaged with a custom ring from The Diamond Gallery in Naperville. Back in October 2013 I began looking for a setting to place diamonds from my grandmother’s ring which I inherited. I went to the Diamond Gallery in Naperville and they had a HUGE selection of Gabriel & Co rings which were all gorgeous! I knew my boyfriend (fiancé now) wanted me to get exactly what I wanted so we agreed for me to pick it out and for him to bring it in. Because this was a large purchase, I researched the hell out plenty of jewelers. In the end, I wanted something family owned and close to my home. I ended up going into The Diamond Gallery of Naperville plenty of times in between October 2013 and July 2014. I worked with both Jennifer and Anna who were wonderful. They were both patient with me (as I had lots of questions!). I felt like Anna and I were old friends by the time everything was finished :). The final ring is a combination of 3 different Gabriel & Co rings which I designed making it even more special. It has a cushion halo to showcase my grandmother’s round diamond and two small stones (from my grandmother’s ring) on the side with a twist shank. It’s so unique and special, I couldn’t have asked for anything more. The Diamond Gallery of Naperville was so accommodating, I look forward to doing more business with them. The great customer service just keeps coming! I decided a couple days after we purchased my ring that I needed it to be sized a little smaller. (I was the one that suggested the size in the first place.) I called and Jackie says «no problem at all just bring it in and we will take care of it for you.»

What a great place with a personal touch. I initially came into the Diamond Gallery to buy an engagement ring. They found me a great ring at a great price. Had such an amazing experience that I came back and bought a Christmas present, which they also had. When it came time for a special present for my mom, they knocked it out of the park. Her wedding ring had been damaged many years ago and was missing two side stones. The Diamond Gallery fixed it up and had it looking like it did 25 years ago when they got married. My Mom cried and absolutely loves it. My fiancé loves her ring as well and the light up box was an absolute hit for the engagement.
This place is honest people providing quality service, and exceeded my expectations. I have had multiple experiences here, and they will definitely be my jeweler for many years to come.
Can’t wait to look at wedding bands with my fiancé next time we go!

I just stopped in for a quick appraisal for Diamond earrings that I bought years ago and got friendly service and direct answers to concerns I had. Great service an I would go back

It had been a few months of searching for the PERFECT engagement ring before I found the Diamond Gallery of Naperville. My fiancé & I desired to custom-​create my engagement ring from scratch, but finding the perfect stone was the challenge. At first, I wanted a diamond-​shaped rhombus… but it wasn’t before long that I reverted to my childhood dream of getting a Marquise for my wedding ring, as the rhombus is hard to come by.
In June 2012, I was visiting a friend (Jason) in Naperville, IL before heading to Chicago for a weekend getaway. Jason suggested I check out the Diamond Gallery before we head out. I was reluctant, but wanted to be nice and take his suggestion… and thank GOD I did!
The Diamond Gallery is located in a strip-​mall in the main area of Naperville — ample parking and easy to find. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a few sales people and the store owner’s wife. I showed her pictures of what I liked and showed her what I didn’t like in the store. She asked that I wait for her husband, Kevin, as he is the guru and she wanted me to share my ideas with Kevin. I was beginning to get impatient because he was so kindly helping the person in front of me, not being brief in conversation with that person just because another «sale» was awaiting him. This immediately showed me character…
Finally, Kevin came over, greeted me, and within two minutes he said «I have the perfect diamond for you.» Did I believe him? NO. I explained that the only way I would get a Marquise if it was in perfect ratio… I don’t like the skinny Marquise OR the fat ones. He assured me that I would LOVE this diamond. Sure enough, he was right. I was speechless and I knew at that very moment I had found my diamond. (side note — Kevin is very direct and works with a sense of urgency but in a good way… don’t confuse his knowledge & confidence with arrogance… he is just an expert in the industry. Take his advice!!!)
First thing I want to touch on — Kevin «promised» he would hold this diamond for me. When I told my parents of this after we had left, they were furious because they thought I would for sure lose this diamond. They said «no one holds a diamond without a deposit, Brittney.» I had faith. Second thing, Kevin must have known that I would be the difficult type and assigned his BEST person on my «case»… her name is Jennifer. She is an Angel.
Within the six months of working with Jennifer to create my ring, I sent way too many cranky emails and questioned the process a few times too many. In my defense, we were talking about my engagement ring, I am super discerning & persnickety, and being in a different city/​state — I am sure you can imagine the anxiety I had about designing my ring from, what seemed, like worlds away. BUT — Jennifer ALWAYS answered my emails with the highest level of professionalism & tact. Her ability to calm my nerves is an uncanny quality to have… I will forever be grateful for her patience with me! She just knew when to throw in a smiley face and how to deal with my venting!
Jennifer did literally everything she could to make my vision a reality. I sent her PDF after Picture after PDF with descriptions of my preferences… In hindsight, I don’t know how she did it! I had no clue the industry lingo or correct descriptive words to convey what I wanted… but she managed to understand my analogies and many likes & dislikes. We went through about six rounds of the CAD process and the final picture she sent made my heart melt. (side note — any other Bride would have been happy with any of the first five CADs she sent, they were all beautiful rings! I just had a very particular look I was trying to achieve.)
When I finally met Jennifer (to pick up the ring), she nearly cried because we had been so closely working on this project for so long. (or wait, was she crying to finally get me out of her hair… teehee) Still to this day, four months later, I stay in touch with her when I have questions about the care of my ring or other jewelry inquiries. I occasionally send her emails of the compliments I receive on my ring as well, along with the article in the Huffington Post where the ring was featured.
Needless to say, my experience with the Diamond Gallery team was invaluable and so very special. They were so accommodating from initial meeting to the CAD process to explaining payment to pick up. My fiancé & I collectively designed my ring from scratch. Not many couples can say they have been through this process… We were/​are both thrilled with the outcome, it turned out PERFECT. And we can’t thank them enough for their help and support along the way!
I was blessed to stumble upon this gem — no pun intended.

YOU ARE CRAZY TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE! The Diamond Gallery of Naperville is the best jewelry store I have done business with, and I have been a jewelry fanatic for many years! When I moved to the Chicago-​land area, I wanted to find a store that was small and would treat me right. The team here has done just that! They go above and beyond to provide services that are 10 times better than any other large jewelry store. Who in their right mind would want a store that is able to set a stone in the same day? We’re not dealing with a hair trim here people… we’re dealing with quality work that deserves time and attention. Stop on by and I’ll set your stone in your ring for you, with super glue and silly putty! Say goodbye to your heirloom diamond!
They have designed multiple custom pieces with me, including my engagement and wedding bands, and have helped with finding items that may not be in their display cases. Extensive repairs… done. Watch band sizing, done. Battery replacements, done. Cleaning, done. The list goes on! I want a store that the employees treat you like family, address you by name, and remember you when you return to the store. You’re not a number waiting for the next possible commission opportunity when you walk through their door like many retail jewelry chains out there.
Chairs are in front of the cases for comfort while you shop (its not brain surgery to figure that out), as I’m sure it will take a while if you’re really looking for your dream ring and spending that kind of money. I certainly don’t want to stand… I was in their store for two hours designing the engagement ring… not to include the extra time for the other bands. Stand… no thank you! As for gold pricing… Low ball offer claim sounds very fishy to me, as I have compared my gold sale with other stores, and The Diamond Gallery’s offer that I took was much better! And I didn’t need to compare… there’s no reason to. If you want to deal with
, that’s your choice, but that’s not what TDGON is all about.
So to the negative reviewers, not sad to see you go… because you’re making room for me (the happy, returning customer of 4+ years) in the CHAIRS when I come in to sell my GOLD and make a purchase! I’ll be happy to take advantage of the discount they would have offered you if you would have actually purchased something.:)

My husband and I recently purchased jewelry cleaner and, again, we had a wonderful experience. Three words come to mind: consistent, courteous, and genuine.

My family have been customers of Kevin and Jackie for 30 years! We have purchased many precious pieces of jewelry and always had the best service, repair work and follow up. My grandmothers engagement ring was fragile and I wanted to preserve it, they offered to create a cast of the ring and redesign the band to withstand me wearing it in the future. When my new husband asked me where he should look for my engagement ring, I only had one answer! Jen came through as always helping him design and create a one of a kind ring for me that I never dreamed I would be wearing. Diamond gallery is one of the few hometown stores left in Naperville that truly care about their customers.

I stopped into the Diamond Gallery due to its convenient location, not really knowing what to expect. I have an heirloom diamond that I am looking to have reset. I was unimpressed with their selection of engagement settings. The way the chairs are blocking the case is annoying. I did find one setting that had potential, but they could not set the stone while I waited (even if I made an appt. to come back), and I am not leaving my heirloom to be shipped out somewhere else.
