PurrFurred Pet Styling – Mobile & Shop Grooming

I have been a customer with Purrfurred Pet for over 4 years.
I have had 3 dogs at same time, then 2 dogs (one passed away), then back up to 3 dogs. I love my groomer Colleen.
However, the rates have increased every single year and now it is $ 74 a dog! Yes, 10% discount which now makes it over $ 200.00 every 5 weeks and my dogs are all small dogs. Time is about 2 hours 45 minues total for all three. So now I have a choice, pay this, do not tip my groomer, or go else where. I guess i will be looking??? Maybe research that aspect. I would be I have severe arthritis and can’t get out much.
I hate to do this, but I may have to search out for someone else who gives a better discount or when you have 3 dogs done at same time — something ???

This is my first time using their service and it was great. Tara who groomed our dog was excellent. She was punctual and very pleasant to deal with and our dog looks great.
We have an older dog who has arthritis and Tara made sure that our dog was comfortable while getting groomed and stress free on our dog as possible.
I can’t ever see needing to drop my dog off at another groomer again. They do a good job and the convenience of them coming to you is a no brainer.

First time using this mobile service and definitely my last!
The lady was 20 minutes late and the van was filthy. It was full of dog hair from previous clients. She advertised 15 years experience with cats, however the end result was very disapointing and sad!
She shaved my long hair cats entire TAIL! And CUT HER WHISKERS!!! Her whiskers were cut unevenely, and she has a cut on her neck.
Clearly, this lady was running behind and she made up all of her time on my cat which took less then 40 minutes!

Leanne is great.
Some did a great job on my senior Maltese Brody. He is usually hard to groom but he looks great. Thank!!!

Used shop grooming not mobile. Shaved down due to matted fur, but excessive and uneven. Face and ears not trimmed well. Disappointed.

I’ve used their mobile service for my dog’s grooming about 3 – 4 times over the last few months. I’ve found it easy to make an appointment with them. Kelly does an awesome job with my Lakeland Terrier. She usually even gets to my place a little early and finishes quickly too. The mobile service is obviously a little more expensive than taking your dog to Petsmart or a big box store like that, but it’s so much faster and less stressful for my (high-​strung) dog – definitely worth it to me. If I were to get my dog full services (bath, cut, nails, fragrance, hygienic whatnot, etc.) at a big box store or some boutique groomer, I’d probably still pay a good bit anyways, so I opt for PurrFurred since they do the best job and are very convenient.

My spouse purchased Groupons for our dogs who are groomed quarterly. Previous groomers have always complained about our Cocker Spaniel, Honey Bunny, because she tends to be restless but Sarah didn’t flinch. It took 2 hours (~1 hour/​dog) and I’m so pleased with their haircuts! Thanks Sarah for doing a superb job and it was worth the drive (we live in Chicago).

We love PurrFurred and especially Leanne! We moved to the area a little over a year ago and had a hard time finding a groomer that was attentive to our dogs. Since they don’t enjoy being in the car, we decided to give PurrFurred a try. Leanne has groomed our dogs five times and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. It is so convenient to stay home and get things done around the house while the dogs are in the driveway getting cleaned up. Highly recommend!

We have used this grooming service twice now, our dog used to have a lot of anxiety going to the in-​store groomers — she would start shaking in the car as we drove, and we would have to drag her inside. We have now had 2 grooming appointments, and while she was a little hesitant the 2^nd time to jump in the van, she is much more relaxed after — and no where near what we used to experience. Kelly came today, and she was awesome — and her haircut looks great. We had Leanne last time, and she was very good too. Highly recommend the service!
Very easy to schedule appointments too — one of few places that I have used that pays attention to the online appointment submissions & requests — and very responsive, usually within a few hours (during normal work day)…

I decided to try this groomer after seeing one their vans driving through my town. I’m extremely pleased that I decided to try them! From the receptionist to the groomer; everyone I talked to at this company was professional and very friendly.
My golden doodle hates going to the groomer. He tries to plant himself in the parking lot while I struggle to get his big 80lb stubborn body inside the groomer. It’s a pretty terrible experience for the both of us. Afterwards, he’s traumatized for the rest of the day.
So this time I decided to try this mobile groomer, which was a great choice! The groomer came on time– she was actually early! She was very friendly and could tell she loved her job! She spent a couple minutes getting acquainted with my doodle while we discussed how I wanted him to look. My doodle got in the van without any struggle!
It took about 2 hours for the works and he came out so handsome and most importantly happy, not a nervous wreck!!! It costs more than going to a groomer but it’s totally worth it! Especially if your dog has anxiety going to the groomer.
I will be using PurrFurred pet styling in the future and will recommend them to others. Thanks for the great service!

Have used them a few times and they do a great job, even with one of our cats that is less than enthusiastic about trimming.

Business must be good. Left 2 messages for this groomer to return my call. Never heard from them! Will move on to the next groomer who wants the business.

Just had my Australian Shepherd, Chloe, groomed today. She looks fabulous! Your staff is great and are friendly. Chloe enjoyed herself very much! They were on time and the price was great! I will most certainly be using you guys again! Thanks so much!

Great experience! Showed up early. The groomer was very friendly. My baby was done in an hour and he looked great and didn’t have the anxiety he normally gets from going to the groomers. I plan to use PurrFurred from now on! Thank you!

We love PurrFurred Pet Styling! Great service with a wonderful groomer. My doggie loves her and he always looks fantastic. The fact they come to you is a HUGE time saver for us.
A special note: Our doggie was having some skin issue we needed the vets help to get resolved. Following that experience our doggie was pretty skittish around anyone even including the groomer when she showed up. she treated him wonderfully. After the groom he was bouncing around like his old self. Big thanks!

Once you go mobile, you’ll never go back. Love that they come to your house to groom (especially nice when you have 2 dogs and a cat). Very friendly staff and super easy to book. I highly recommend.

The best groomer experience we have ever had. Tex is extremely nervous and shy. He sheds year round and we were at our wits end. We just couldn’t subject him to leaving him at a grooming salon. So, after reading all the reviews, we chose PurrFurred Mobile Grooming. He had The Works and De-​Shedding. WOW! No More Shedding. Not kidding. I scheduled his next appointment before the groomer even left. The groomer was gentle and re-​assuring. I can’t say enough good things about this company. It is worth every penny. Please call them and try it out. You won’t be sorry.

PurrFurred Pet Styling is simply the best. As other reviewers have noted, they are always on time, my dogs love the groomers, and it is a pleasant experience for all of us. I hated taking my dogs to groomers to be there the better part of the day. Always wondering when the call is going to come that they are ready. My dogs came home scared, vibrating, and usually with upset stomachs. With Colleen and Jessica from PurrFurred, my dogs are in the mobile grooming van for about 1 hour each, they leave with the ladies happy and come running back in to the house happy. Best thing I have done for my babies in years is finding PurrFurred and having them take care of the kids. Would give 10 starts if possible. Thank you, my dogs love you guys!
