I love this candy shop, they have all sorts of old candy that you can’t get anywhere else, and the workers are always super nice and helpful!

They are super over policed and the staff has major attitude like there doing you a favor. Not worth the price.

I wandered into Naper Nuts & Sweets for the first time today and was so happy that I did! I was looking for a large amount of popcorn for a baby shower, and was helped immediately with exactly the type I was looking for, freshly popped. The customer service was wonderful and the store itself put a smile on my face with all of the candy options available. My experience couldn’t have been better, and I look forward to going back again!

A classic old-​school, vintage American candy shop. Jars full of different candies– gummies, nuts, chocolates… Whatever you could imagine, it’s there…
It was like heaven as a child. I do still occasionally visit when I’m back in town.

This place is a cutle little candy shop, it is kindve expensive but how often do you really splurge on bags of gummies and pounds of fudge and English toffee (which is amazing)

Did you ever have that dream where you’re drifting idly through an old-​fashioned candy store, the smell of wild gummy candies perfuming your consciousness as you shuffle slowly down a worn maplewood floor… dropping lollipops and bubblegum and salt water taffy into an enormous plastic sleeve, while a young woman carves you a slab of homemade fudge? Me neither. It shows up after you visit here two three times.

I love this shop! Although I don’t remember when candy shops were like this on a regular basis, I really appreciate that they’re trying to keep it «old school,» for lack of a better term.
Although they can be a little expensive on their fudge, I think it is made in-​house, so it’s worth every penny! I love how they have so many different flavors of fudge.
My favorite part about this shop, though, is that they donate to the military serving overseas. I think they send popcorn over to the people serving, and there might be additional ways they help out. I love how they give the service men and women a taste of something back home! A great way to give back!

Naper Nuts & Sweets reminds me of my childhood and that’s such a happy thought. I remember begging my mom to stop in here for some candy any time we passed by. It definitely reminds me of the candy store in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The walls are lined with goodies — candy, nuts, popcorn, chocolate covered everything, and more.
Fast forward to today, and I’m still loving every minute of Naper Nuts & Sweets. It’s typically a young crowd working there, but everyone is always so sweet and helpful. Such a happy vibe in the store.
Last time I stopped in I was wanting to order a tub of Chicago style popcorn for an upcoming event. I knew I had to place the order a day in advance, which was no problem at all. I let them know what time I needed to pick it up by, and they had it ready to go by then!
They offer different sizes of popcorn tubs. I went with the large and it was more than enough for a party of 60 people that were also enjoying sandwiches and cupcakes.
Next time you’re downtown Nape, I highly suggest popping into this adorable candy shop. I mean, if you’re anything like me it will be hard to ignore the delicious chocolate and popcorn smells wafting into the street!

I have never been a fan of caramel popcorn, nor do I even like caramel popcorn, but whenever I come to this little shop, I always have to get a bag! Right when you walk in you always see fresh popcorn in the making and the sweet smells just drift towards your nose. Honestly, when you see people making popcorn constantly in the store, you KNOW it’s going to be good. Who says good popcorn is only in Chicago?!
Also, try their FUDGE. Oh goodness, it is so rich and dense, and people who are chocolate lovers will be in heaven. They also make their own fudge, so it has a homemade touch. When friends visit town, I like to get them a bag of caramel corn and fudge– what sums up Chicago more than popcorn and chocolate?
I’ll be honest, when I was in jr. high and high school, I use to love coming in and grabbing a bag of random gummies and then snacking on them while I walked through dt. The prices are obviously more expensive than if you were to buy them from a drugstore/​grocery store, but convenience is key!

Naper Nuts & Sweets is a cute little candy shop in downtown Naperville. They have a large selection of candy. This is the perfect spot to find old fashion candy. The staff is very friendly and will help you find what you’re looking for.
At the back counter you will fond $ 1 ice cream cones!
Overall– very small store but great selection and friendly staff!

Hard to believe stores like this still exist. Independently owned, this is an old fashioned candy store. They sell chocolate truffles, fudge, and any type of hard candy that you could think of. Perfect if you want to get your kid a small treat, but don’t want them bouncing off the walls all night. I like the dark chocolate truffles. They also have soft serve ice cream, but I would skip it. You will want to go back and watch Willie Wonka after visiting this store.

This is an old school candy shop. Not the modern day glitzy neon shops that you might find in a mall. Wood flooring, well worn from the daily lines of kids over the last 30 yrs. Row upon row upon row of jars filled with colorful candies. Everything you can imagine… and then some. I keep hoping for a «Willy Wonka» moment when the storekeeper will break into song and begin throwing candy to everyone but it’s never happened yet.
This place really is a step back in time for me, as they carry countless candies that I haven’t seen since I was a child. It seems that every time I’m here, I find yet another candy that I haven’t seen in decades. –even candy cigarettes, which you almost never see anymore!
If there is a half day of school or a vacation day, you can be assured that I will be here. –With my kids desperately trying to narrow down their candy possibilities to the three that they are allowed. They can smell the caramel corn for blocks. –It’s Naper’s secret to luring kids (and their parents) into their store.
I have to be honest; it is pricey here, which is why I rate it a 4 instead of a 5. I was ringing up near some teens today who were shocked at the $ 3 price tag for a pack of gum. They decided they didn’t want to spend that much for gum and they left. I was actually proud of them for that. –good decision!
Typical candy bars here are about $ 1.50. When you can buy those for .75 cents at the grocery store, it does seem a little silly. The old candy bars that are near extinction are over $ 2, but I assume they are priced higher from their manufacturers because they sell them in such small quantities.
FYI, this small local business ships thousands of pounds of caramel corn to our military troops all over the world. If my rather inflated prices for candy are also paying for a young person, who’s potentially sacrificing him/​her life for me, I will gladly pay the few extra bucks I know I spend here so that they can get a care package from the states.
More than anything, we come here for the experience of being in an old candy shop. Priced high or not, this store is what kids’ dreams are made of.

I actually like this candy store but it doesn’t wow me. I always enjoy walking in here and getting something sweet. The ladies behind the counter are very nice but I think they don’t value there customers. I say this because as I was leaving out of the store tonight, a lady and her two young kids were trying to come in to buy some candy and they would not let them in because they were getting ready to close. I don’t think that’s right because of the two little kids, they look like they were going to cry and I wanted to give them my candy but I didn’t feel that was right either. If I knew them I would but I don’t want to give a strangers kid candy. that’s weird. Anyway I feel that they could have taken the time to let them in. Its a candy store, they would not spend there life in there, its only one more customer. Customer service is key to any business and I think that’s why they only got three stars. Besides that I would be a fan

Being a lifelong Napervillian… let’s do this.
I have been going here for lord knows how long… they have never ceased to amaze me. I love their selection, I love the childish feeling you get in there, and of course the taste is overwhelmingly great.
They have such a selection, at least 100 types of candies. You can get loose things, like rock candy or gummy bears, or a packaged candy like Pop Rocks or Hershey’s. I’ve never been disappointed, and I always walk out with less cash and a slight sugar rush. The smells you get from walking by when the door is open is plenty to drag me in.
The only problem I have is that their price is a bit high, but I’ll accept it because of the selection. There are a LOT of special/​rare candies that need stocking.
Overall, they are absolutely worth it. Staff is, for the most part, very nice and helpful. You sometimes have to point them in a general direction, but once again, I don’t blame them because this selection is seriously unreal.

Oh Sweet Heaven, I’m still a little salty over my trip to this candy store yesterday! Normally I enjoy a little sweet and salty mixed together but not in this case.
Yesterday one of my besties reached out to me to see if we wanted to hit up Naperville with them for an afternoon of fun and after I checked the weather, I was totally game for this adventure!
We grabbed some lunch at Heaven on Seven (keep an eye out for my Hon7 review to come) and knew we had a few places we wanted to stop but for the most part we knew we were just gonna wander a bit. As we walked off our lunch, I realized I really needed something sweet for an after lunch dessert and eventually we came upon this little candy shop. Not much from the outside (ie. beat up hard to read signage and some chipping paint) but heck, it’s a candy store, so we gotta go in!
A cute shop nicely laid out with A LOT OF RULES! Here are the «rules» I know in all candy stores: don’t steal. And that’s it. But not here, we have many more. My gf that asked if the gummy bears are from Albanese and she was immediately told: «were not allowed to tell you that.» And I got to deal with Mister Miserable running the register who yelled at me for taking photos (whoops! Didn’t see any signs that said I can’t, sorry!) and when I wanted to get some things out of the case (yes, small business owner, I was planning to buy quite a bit) I asked if I could taste the fudge and was told «No, you’re not allowed». How do you expect me to spend $ 15 a LB on fudge if I can’t pick out some flavors that I like? I have NEVER been to any place that sells fudge and doesn’t let you taste a tiny little piece. This is how you sell your product and how you increase sales. I probably would have bought at LEAST a full pound but instead between Mister Happy and all the negativity amongst the employees, I was done after two items in the case.
On a positive note, the bad attitude of your employee kept my pocketbook full and your cash drawer lighter than it could have been but for the love of all that is Holy, you people work in a CANDY STORE… have some fun with it! Welcome the shoppers, see if they need assistance since you won’t let anyone touch anything, and do yourself a favor and SMILE! If you don’t have customers, you don’t have a job. Why do all the young people not get this?
Ok I’m done now. Oh wait, no I’m not… the pricing is difficult to find in the individually wrapped candy wall so be careful to check pricing before you check out. I didn’t realize two of the things I grabbed were as expensive as they were, I may not have gotten both had I known that. Just a heads up.

Awesome, awesome, awesome spot! I grew up in a small town (what used to be, anyways), and we had a candy shop in the «downtown» that we would always frequent on the weekends. Naper Nuts and Sweets brings me back to that shop!
Other than just nostalgia, I adore this place. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the selection of fresh and packaged items cannot be matched. It’s a must stop if you’re wandering in downtown Naperville, or a destination if you have a specific sweet treat in mind!

It’s amazing what such a small store carries! They know how to please EVERYONE — candies, chocolates, popcorn, fudge, & novelty items for anyone between 0−100+! My DAD loves UNO bars – do you remember those??? Well, they have them! And DAD is getting a few in his Christmas package this year. YUM! I KNOW he will love them.
Their staff is GREAT — amazing customer service. My elementary school-​aged son selected some unique gummies for his birthday party, and the staff put them into 15 separate bags for us to give away as favor bags. They are accommodating & knowledgeable! Glad that this small family-​owned business is here in downtown Naperville!

Please, please, PLEASE keep this store here forever. I always stopped in here as a child and now my children stop in here. I hope my grandchildren can do their candy shopping here someday!
The prices for some of the candies might be a little bit more but you are paying for the experience and honestly, with all of their community involvement, I will always support NN&S.
Their fudge and candies in the glass are wonderful and I don’t find it to be overpriced.

Holy freaking overwhelment.
I don’t care if I made that word up. That’s exactly what I felt. It was part nostalgic drooling, part panic from too many options, part toothache from looking at all the sugar. If you know exactly what you want, you’re set. My sister and I, on the other hand, were somewhat overstimulated and indecisive. In the time we were in the shop, we probably had every employee ask if we knew what we wanted, each one sounding more impatient than the one before. Perhaps we seemed like we were just loitering, but I had the intention of going home with a big bag candy but after being more or less dismissed by the staff, we settled for a few small items (which I’m pretty sure they overcharged us for).
All in all, Naper Nuts & Sweets is a fun shop to visit if you’re craving some obscure candy, but it’s pretty expensive.
