Business Owner

Formally owner of Integrity Wellness Center, now new location with a new name! Mapi is my nickname which stands for the initials of Maria del Pillar Irizarry. I grew up in Mexico with my grandmother who taught me, early on, home remedies and sobadas (Ancient Mayan massage). She was my first teacher on the importance of natural herbs and the power they contain for healing.

I enrolled into a school to work as a nurse assistant. I found my passion with healthcare. I then enrolled into First International Medical Academy to get my certificate and state license for massage therapy. Here I was introduced to European techniques which I use on all my massages. After graduating from this European based school in Glenview, Illinois I began my intense career as a therapeutic Licensed Massage Therapist.
