Specialties
As a team of highly qualified Speech, Occupational, Physical and Developmental therapists paired with support staff, we are committed to a family-centered approach as we work with children of all ages in clinic, home, and community settings. It is our role as therapists to assist in the identification of each child’s individual strengths and challenges in order to promote the use of effective sensory, motor, and communication skills. We will provide the child and his/her family with the tools to build the skills needed to maximize full potential.
History
Established in 2000.
Founded in 2000, KatieBug Therapy, Ltd. started out as the independent practice of Marie Ruzicka, MA, CCC-SLP, a speech pathologist with over 20 years of experience in medical and outpatient clinical settings. Excellent clinicians joined Marie in growing the practice. KatieBug’s clinical space was located on the north side of Naperville for 10 years. In 2010, KatieBug moved to south Naperville, which allowed for further development of therapy services. Having spent much of her career in a team-based rehab setting, Marie strongly values the benefits of a team approach to therapy. The interdisciplinary team includes speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, developmental therapy, and nutrition services. The summer of 2015 brought more change and growth for KatieBug, and the team moved into its current home on Deep Water Lane. KatieBug looks forward to the new opportunities that our expanded clinic space may offer the children and families that it serves.
