It’s a nice grocery store and produce is fresh. The bakery is always stocked and the deli is good quality. That’s why it deserves 3 stars. But I have to say… MOST of the employees are really really snobby. I’m usually nice but if they give me an attitude I give it right back. One time my fiancé and I went to buy a case of beer. I left my purse in the car since I didn’t feel like I needed it for anything. The lady at checkout, I don’t know her name but she’s older and has curly hair, wouldn’t let us purchase the beer because she said we both needed our IDs even though my fiancé was buying it and provided his ID. She said it was their rule. Umm ok? I could have easily walked to the car to get my wallet but Because she was so rude we left without the beer and went down the street and bought it. I don’t know who these people think they are. Also, ever since they made«express checkout» lanes, the line is always so long and it takes forever. I will shop here because it’s convenient but will try to go somewhere else if I can. I don’t appreciate the attitudes. Get a new job if you aren’t happy.

These guys are trying. They now offer fresh made tortilla chips that are really good, fresh popcorn, an expanded liquor section and a sit down coffee bar. Their prices are kind of high for produce, lower for meat. Big selection of everything

Mark in produce and Debbie at express checkout(4pm 1÷15÷2016) are assholes. People like this give Naperville a bad name!

The store interior is small and cramped. The isles are very confusing and arranged in a weird fashion. Can’t seem to ever find anything you’re looking for. There are better options in the area. Also, they don’t carry as many brands as other chains.

Generally like Jewel but not a fan of the floral department. They’ve really gone downhill with sloppy, cheap looking arrangements. Checkers are nice here but going elsewhere for flowers.

I bought the Jewel fried chicken because it got good reviews. It was horrible. Way too salty! Really. I give it zero stars.

an average grocery store but wait… now Jewel stocks a uniquely separate Organic section which has very similar items as WholeFoods and similar price. the pharmacy here is really efficient. However, the shoppers seem to hoard the food and if you get in their way… watch out! the staff are friendly and helpful but the customer services is rather UNHELPFUL.

What a NICE surprise! I LOVE ice cream, and who would have thought… GRAETER’S! Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Bean. Yum! My brother-in-law is from Ohio and used to bring coolers of this super ultra rich treat for us when he went to visit his family. Glad to see that the neighborhood Jewel-Osco is carrying some pretty special stuff!

Today was my sons 18th birthday. We planned a nice dinner out with his siblings. Unfortunately, due to the blizzard, his sister couldn’t get in from Chicago, and his brothers couldn’t get home from Dekalb, and then Sullivan’s called to say they weren’t opening due to the weather conditions. I didn’t have a back up plan. Since it was Superbowl Sunday, he decided that we could do wings and watch the game instead. I braved the blizzard conditions to drive to my local Jewel, scared out of my mind, to buy him his wings and a birthday cake. At the check out, I realized that I had inadvertently left my wallet at home on the kitchen table. I called home to get my debit card number but the cashier said she couldn’t take it. 3 levels of management later, TIM, store manager, tells me that he cannot take my credit card number over the phone. I offered that my son could text a picture of my drivers license, and my debit card. But he said no. I would have to go home and get my card and leave my groceries there while I did that. I asked if an exception could please be made since it was a blizzard out, was my sons birthday, and I really didn’t want to have to drive back again and/or leave his birthday dinner and cake behind. He replied no way. BOO on Jewel! You can use your credit card over the phone to order a pizza, order Chinese, call a catalog for merchandise, but you cannot use a credit card number over the phone at Jewel if you forget your wallet at home. I have been a loyal fan of Jewel since I moved to the area 18 years ago, while droves of customers have left for Whole Foods, Standard Market, Caputo’s, etc. I do believe this customer is so upset by this incident that I will be bringing my business elsewhere in the future. Jewel, you need to treat your customers better if you want to keep them!!! And Tim, I’m old enough to be your Mother. Lets hope this never happens to your Mother and she has to deal with someone like you…

A typical Jewel but this one smells really nice all the time, like fresh Flowers. Today it smelled like Christmas. I really like the employees in the meat department. A guy named Cory was really helpful and pleasant even though its the day before Thanksgiving and he was very busy.

Clean store. What really got me on this visit was the checkout attendant for the self service checkout lane… it was busy and I am guessing she got overwhelmed, but she had the audacity to roll her eyes at the customer next to us. For heavens sakes, she just asked a simple question and this employee got flustered. I made a comment and the attendant heard me… her attitude quickly adjusted. Completely unacceptable. Customer Service is key!

Writing this review because there’s nothing like buying liquor from Lupe. You the best, Lupe!

It’s a Jewel. They’re all pretty much the same. Nothing remarkable. You can bring in empty 5-gallon water jugs and refill them here for $.50/gallon. I love doing that.

I shop at Jewel all the time, and I think it’s way better than the competition. It has a wide selection, prices are really good, and even the store brand is good quality. They used to be open 24 hours but I believe they close at 1AM now and open up at 6, so it’s still super convenient. The staff is ALWAYS helpful, super friendly, and willing to help. I’ve been going here since it opened like 15 years ago, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I just wish they had a better selection of sushi, just in case I’m craving it and don’t have time to get it from a real restaurant.

Im a fan of Jewel but I rarely shop here because of the prices. However, I am beginning to think its worth it. I went in this morning to get some stuff. I bought a box of frozen hamburgers. The tag said on sale for $ 5.99. At the register they rung up $ 11.49. So I went to customer service and they checked into it and it wasnt for the item I bought. My item was obviously in the wrong place. But they gave it to me for $ 5.99 anyway. True customer service. No questions asked. I think i’ll be shopping here more often.

I’m writing this review strictly about the fresh fried chicken from the deli section. OMG, so good! When you get the chicken semi-fresh from the fryer, you won’t be disappointed. It’s cheaper to buy the 8 pc than individual pieces, so suck it up and buy it! Perfectly seasoned, crunchy, and juicy. I think I could eat it every day if I had absolutely no regard for my heart health and waistline. From wings to thighs: totes mcgotes awesome. Monday has a deal where you can get 8 pieces for like 5 or 6 bucks. Do it!!!

Jewel-Oscos are a step up from the average grocery chain, and the prices reflect this. While I don’t shop here often, when I do I’m delighted with the nice layout with wide, non-cluttered aisles. The merchandise is well-stocked and organized, the lighting is bright and the store is kept in immaculate condition. There must be a subatomic, magnetic draw that entices every mere mortal that happens by to become glued to the bakery case. I dare you to stop in and not be drawn to the tasty and adorably decorated delicacies. I know I can’t help myself! ETA: The gas station is a solid stop, you can generally save 4−15¢ per gallon if you use your Preferred Card. One problem though: the bar code scanner on each station is finicky, as I had to go inside to get permission to pump my gas.

Not bad for a Jewel. It’s your typical standard layout with typical Jewel prices. Both times I was here, I hit up the bakery. Their products were okay. Not like the quality of other Jewel stores or I had the misfortune of having everyone raid the place before I got there. The only problem is that sometimes this location seems to be overrunning with teenagers. When did it become fashionable to hang out at Jewel?
