Hampton Inn of Naperville

Compared to other Hilton hotels in the same category this hotel is very disappointing. It is dirty. I noticed dirt, crumbs and small pieces of trash in the hallway before entering the room. The gym has a strong, repulsive odor. The floor and exercise mat were both so filthy that I opted not to touch either. Also, the first morning of my stay I called from the exercise area because the cooler had no water. Morning two… Still no water.
If you are a business traveler as I am be prepared because the iron is old and the ironing board is dirty. The only positive note is that they offer a free washer and dryer to guests and provide detergent and softener sheets at no cost.
The mattresses are old and not up to par with today’s standards of other similar category. I will look for another option the next time I am staying in the area.

We booked a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn for our wedding back in 2014 and Robin, the director of sales, was the nicest, most accommodating person I have ever worked with. She always responded promptly and never seemed annoyed, even though we weren’t the biggest party she was working with I’m sure and I had a lot of questions. Our guests had a great experience and the rooms were great. I want to get married again just so we can work with Robin again!

I stay at Hampton’s fairly frequently for their price/​quality/​consistency ratio. This one for me was all about location. In the hotel I was met with a smile at the desk, a quick check in process. The hotel was clean, but a bit dated. The morning breakfast was nice, and internet was free. For a Hampton it’s a little dated, but had better service than I’ve come to expect. If I was in the area again I would probably stay here again.
On this stay I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or fitness center so I can’t speak for those.

I am really surprised at the excellent service here. WILLIAM, the manager checked us in, but also helped us for any requests throughout the night. He is so professional and polite!!! He ranks high in my book of customer service and I like to give credit where credit is due :)
The hotel is clean, I did not see dust like the other reviewer was saying. Maybe they finished fixing whatever they had going on at that time. Room was updated, lights and tv were all nice… so they must have had a face lift because I don’t see what the other reviews are talking about. The place does look new, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a makeover.

Bathroom was clean, granite counters but cheaper shampoo brands (generic Hampton brand). I was hoping for some Paul Mitchell or Bath and body lol
Pool is outdoors and closed during winter.
They do have a gym, it’s small but clean and do-​able. Tea and coffee is avail ²⁴⁄₇ in the lobby.
A few nice restaurants within the area… such as maggianos and Morton’s steakhouse… but the wait was over an hour on Saturday night. I suggest reservations!
If you get a chance, check out WORLD OF BEERS. Pretty awesome place with TONS of beers from all over the world. Place gets packed, have few tables.
Breakfast sucked… lol sausage gravy and really yellow eggs. Nothing much else to eat except bread…

Customer service really good. Tired of the same breakfast every morning. Gym is little and could use newer equipment.
Showers are hot, bed is comfy… super far from airport.

Really exceptional customer service. Very clean, friendly staff, much better than expected, overall. Lovely lobby and rooms. We asked for soy milk for breakfast/​coffee because we don’t eat dairy and they got us both regular and vanilla. They also helped us coordinate shipping some boxes. Note to management: William Smith was great, please give him a bonus!
Fitness center has a nice TV, a treadmill, a malfunctioning elliptical machine, a recumbent bike, dumbbells, an ab-​workout inflatable ball, and a mat for crunches, etc.

I’ve stayed at this property many times over the past 2 years. I was welcomed at the front desk checked in quickly and went off to my room. One of the elevators was not working so it took about 5 min to go up 4 floors. (Should have taken the stairs) Rooms are small and no fridge or microwave. The beds are great though! Last time I was here they had a sewer problem and the whole lobby smelled horrid. I think I will be staying at the Hilton right down the road from now on. (Don’t really belie in the three strikes rule 2 is more then enough). The Staff is exceptionally polite and helpful. The owner just needs to spend some money!

I’ve stayed at this property numerous times over the past 12 years. I was welcomed with a great deal of dust and disarray this trip; but, as the previous reviewer had alluded to, this Hampton Inn has finally started getting the face lift it desperately needed.
The front desk staff was very courteous given the current condition of the property.
If you will be staying at this property in the near future, understand that most of the facilities on the first floor are currently in various stages of remodel. However, the rest of the property appears to have gotten a great number of upgrades (excluding the televisions). I look forward to seeing the final results.

Let’s talk about disappointed. A quick look at my past reviews shows I stay at a lot of Hilton properties, many of them being Hamptons. This one was pretty sad. Clean, but everything is really well worn. It definitely needs a facelift. The high traffic areas in the carpet are worn down, the lamps look older than me, the closet door was gone in my room…
It looks like they are considering a remodel in the future, as there was a sign in the lobby with fabric samples and crooked letters, but nothing saying it was coming soon.
The only plus is that it is really close to my office, which makes it convenient when I come in for meetings. But there are plenty of other hotels in the area, which will probably win my business next time.
Sorry Hampton Inn.
