Green Machine Towing

Worst tow company around tows unlawfully and does not care. Do not use these guys you will get ripped off, they charge as much as the city for a tow and it’s in the burbs…

This company is the contracted towing company for my apartment association. When you work late hours and get home after 1am and there is NO parking you are told to call the towing company so they can remove cars that aren’t stickered or haven’t been called in. After 5 calls I finally got a call back, the guy told me he had other places to go and that he wouldn’t be coming to remove any cars from our lot. He said that 4 people had called in vehicles that is why there were no spots, we have HUNDREDS of parking spaces. A third which are occupied by unmarked vehicles. He advised me that I could park in a handicapped space and his company would not tow me, so I turned around and called non emergency police who then told me that they would give me a $ 500 ticket. Just after this happens i literally followed a cop through our complex who did absolutely nothing. I then call green machine back and advised him what the police department said and asked if there was any way they could get someone out to our complex to remove at least one car so I could park, he told me it was impossible until after 4am. Needless to say… This company is useless. And I am going to be calling to complain about them, the police department and my complex as soon as the office opens in the morning. Absolutely ridiculous.

ATTN: THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!!! The guy who works here was about the nastiest., rudest person I’ve ever met. Besides that, he told me he’d be at Green Machine Towing and would wait for me. When I got there-​the place was closed. When I called him, he was so nasty again and said it’ll be another 15 min. I wouldn’t do business with this place ever again and suggest you don’t either. Very dirty and nasty place. I would rate them a –10 if I could. Awful to do business with!

For starters, I did NOT have a vehicle towed by this company. However, I had a very unpleasant experience with the representative I spoke with earlier this week. I called in to ask questions about the towing policy and/​or agreement between my apartment complex’s management and the towing company. There appeared to be a discrepancy that left a few of my neighbors and I confused.
After sharing a bit of a conflict between representative who stated that his name was «Mike», he became very belligerent and condescending. At one point he stated, «if I get fired, who’s gonna hire me. Are you»? My response was that «I’m not an employer. If I were, your behavior would not prompt me to feel inclined to hire you.» I immediately felt insulting and asked for his last name, agent # to manager’s name. He would not provide any of that information to me. He suggested that I, «call tomorrow and ask who was the asshole who was working last night». Completely unprofessional to use profanity towards a patron. He hung up on me as well. Extremely unacceptable behavior from a representative.
I do question whether he truly represents the company or if this was a case of them hiring an under-​qualified unprofessional individual.

I’m only giving this place one star because it requires you to give at least one. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. Their hours are ²⁴⁄₇ yet no one is available at their yard until 3 hours later. You call, no one answers. He sends you to voicemail. He ignores calls. He uses disrespectful language. He is ignorant on all levels. Who «he» is I couldn’t tell you, because «he» provided no name and says that «he» does not have a manager. Long story short, do not use this company for anything. If you’re stranded and need help, you have a better chance of walking home.

Green Machine was fast, polite and reasonable. Mike took good care of my car and was a gentleman. I would call them again for sure.

When we went to go pickup my car from the lot, the staff was rude and used foul language. The grounds were disorganized, and the office was filthy. VERY unprofessional. If you need a towing service, DO NOT use this service.

Dispatcher was very professional and thorough. Driver Pat was also professional and courteous. Showed up when promised, did a good job and delivered the car on their flatbed truck a whole 2 miles to the shop. I would have trusted them to take it much farther.
Only reason not giving 5 stars was that when trying to get my tow eye panel open on the bumper Pat left a scratch on the plastic that could have been avoided. Car’s not new so not a huge deal for me.
The charge was $ 90 plus mileage, so $ 95 in my case. I would use them again without hesitation.

I’m not from this area and needed to have my vehicle picked up and stored for a few weeks. Even thought my request was out of the norm for Green Machine, Gary was very helpful in meeting my unique circumstance. Being out of state I was concerned about dealing with a company that would treat me right, along with being fair and honest. I found Gary to be all of the above.

My girlfriend was towed because of some convoluted rules of our association and guest parking (every call gave you a different answer) and I got to experience Green Machine Towing. My review is not slanted by being on the unwanted receiving end, FYI.
Well, they towed her car early in the morning, but there was a problem, they dropped it, it rolled across the parking lot and smashed into another car which caused about $ 5000 dollars of damage. We went through insurance and that went pretty smoothly, but I still had to pay the $ 170 tow fee and her car was out of commission for a week.
Their facilities are among the filthiest I have encountered. I don’t think they have ever cleaned. Every inch was covered in filth. It looked like the bathroom from Desperado. Please clean your place. It is a bad enough day when you have to reclaim your car, don’t make me wait in a filthy toilet in the process.
So, they smashed up her car and another car from a simple tow. That’s no good. I can only imagine needing them to help me out on the side of the road and causing more problems than you started with.

Great service! From Gary’s helpful updates on ETA on the phone, to Dan’s friendly advice during the ride home, this towing company is the only company I will use during my car crisis! They recommended a great auto mechanic very close to my address and since we were so close, gave me a ride home. Nice guys.

They provided a decent service and seemed like they knew what they were doing. Towed my car from house to shop about 4 miles.
