History

Established in 2004.

Bob Hill whose grandfather was a flooring contractor 100 years ago is passionate about floors. Bob joined Mohawk Mills right after college and has been active in the industry ever since. In addition to owning FCA, he is past chairman of the World Floor Covering Association and past president of the National Floor Covering Alliance. A major figure in the floor-​covering industry and highly respected for his leadership Hill has received numerous industry awards, including the Chicago Floor Covering Association’s «Person of the year» and «Retailer of the Year,» and the Illinois Home Builders Association «Subcontractor of the Year.» Bob has been the moving force behind the Hill Foundation and its ground-​breaking new website www​.Fac​ingDis​abil​ity​.com which was created to connect families who suddenly have to deal with a spinal cord injury. Born and raised in California, Hill is a graduate of UC at Berkeley. He is the father of two daughters. He and his wife live in Chicago.

In addition to owning FCA, he is past chairman of the World Floor Covering Association and past president of the National Floor Covering Alliance.
